There are currently three camping sites available. Each one comes with a picnic table, fire ring, trash can and an outhouse.

The cabins are primitive, no electric or water. There are solar lights inside and and out also a propane wall heater for chilly nights. This is comfortable camping in the Beautiful Mountains of WV. There is a shower house with instant hot water and outside spigots for water, a porta potty, a fire-pit for cooking and camp fires at night while star gazing. The property is over 100 acres in Greenbrier county WV. There is a lot of history in this area. There are tons of wildlife on the property as well. We have awesome trails with GREAT Views for hiking or horse back riding should you decide to bring your own equine. Pets are allowed with prior notice (not to be left unattended in the cabins). We have a private dog park that you will have access to on the property. We also offer doggie daycare & boarding here at the farm (prior proof of vaccine is required) should you need our services. We also house horses/ponies/ goats/sheep/geese/ducks & chickens here on the farm. We are located 4 miles from downtown Lewisburg which has wonderful stores, antique shops and restaurants. Some of the attractions in town include Toot (taste of our town) , The Chocolate festival, WV State Fair, Carnegie Hall not to mention The Greenbrier Resort which is only 15 mins away. Also in the area is the Greenbrier River Trail 77 miles long for hiking, biking and horseback riding. Greenbrier State Forrest , Beartown State Park, Droop Mountain Battlefield State Park, Cranberry Glades Botanical Area, Scenic highway, Lost World Caverns & Pomona Salt Cave and Spa. Close by is Hawk Knob Hard Cider & Mead, Smooth Ambler Distillery and Greenbrier Valley Brewing company etc. To many things to list this is just a few. Perfect private retreat for nature enthusiasts, writers, artists, musicians, contemplatives, and small families. MountainTop got its namesake over 30 years ago for the small mountain plateau that resides at the top of the property, just a short hike from the cabins and campsites. One can easily find the soothing voice of water nearby at the seasonal waterfall or alongside the flowing river. Rejuvenate with friends, families, nature lovers, and contemplatives. Mountaintop offers superb stargazing, swimming, fishing, hiking, strenuous mountain biking, camping, serenity, peace, and connective nature immersion.
There are currently three sites: the MountainTop Cabin (sleeps up to 4); the Retreat Cabin (sleeps up to 4): and the Fern Grove campsite (sleeps up to 4). You can book a cabin or the campsite for your family, or the whole place for a small group by booking each site--that will ensure privacy. The two cabins have high speed internet access and the tent site can get access by walking to the Peace Pavilion. Last year we hosted wellness retreats for small groups at this little oasis tucked in the mountains of gorgeous West Virginia.

We are close to Droop Mountain State Park, Beartown State Park, the Greenbrier River Trail, Falls of Hills Creek, and The Cranberry Wilderness. Pets on leash okay.
The caretakers are happy to help with any of your needs or offer local advice. Otherwise, they can keep a low profile if you are looking for some peace and solitude.

Weekend Trip to Carp Cove Farm
The farm is great - we were only ones there and enjoyed use of full Hookup next to the bathhouse. Ralph is a delightful host and this property is so much more beautiful in person than pics can convey. A truly special place and a wonderful getaway! We will definitely camp here again. Ralph’s river farm was beautiful and serene. He was very hospitable and helpful in leading us to our camp spot, showing us around, and had great communication. The site had power hookup, a full bathroom building, a picnic table, and a fire pit which made for a very comfortable stay. It was awesome to be able to bring our pup and have so much room to explore and exposure to farm animals. The river was too low to fish or kayak, but we were able to play and walk in/along the river and plan on coming again in the spring to fully enjoy it.

Loved it here!! Ralph met us at the entrance and showed us to our rv full hookup spot! It’s a full working farm, so we got to see all the animals, the cows were hilarious at dinner time! We kayaked on the river on his property and enjoyed breakfast with the farm fresh Easter Egger eggs we got from him!
Very quiet, nice to be away, we love HipCamps!
Most of all we’ve loved seeing Clarabell the donkey everyday on our walks.
I highly recommend!!

Winding mountain roads and backcountry hiking trails lead the way through the Allegheny Mountains and the Monongahela National Forest in eastern West Virginia.
