This is a gorgeous park-like RV campground situated between the trees of the arboretum. No tents, please. Also we have NO public restrooms. Beautiful view of the mountains and forests here in western Washington. We are close to Mt. St. Helens and Mt. Rainier and several lakes. There are walking trails all around the site. The 12 acre campground is located on a 136 acre property that is an active Christmas tree farm. Trails continue throughout the tree farm. Many trails have a view of the Tilton River, which can be reached via a challenging 3/4 mile trail. Sites are on 10 acres planted with many different species of trees that are about 30 years old. Giant Redwoods, Cedars, and Maples are just a few of the varieties present. Part of the farm is still a working Christmas tree farm. The trails are wide and grassy. The old logging road that we use as a trail to the river has an elevation change of about 500 feet, the trail can be quite challenging. Bear Creek empties into the Tilton river at the end of the trail. There is an ART GALLERY where you can learn to pound flowers, see the host's artwork and get a cup of coffee! This is upstairs above the shop, right on the property. Tilton River Studio Gallery. Three sites have electrical hookups. Weekend Trip to 🌿 Viridia Acres 🌿

This is just the perfect secluded landing pad in some quiet, beautiful countryside. It's close enough to Portland to make it a short drive for a fraction of the price you'd pay for a place to stay in the city. It's a gorgeous spot that's perfectly secure to leave a campsite set up while you're gone and not have to worry. I've stayed twice and will probably return again.

Weekend Trip to Bee Inspired Garden

Kay was out of town while we stayed here but her sister Liz rolled out the red carpet for us! Fresh flowers, warm cookies, firewood, veggies from the garden, and of course the gift of time to show us around the beautiful property! The kids loved feeding the chickens, frolicking in the garden, and tasting the sweet honey from the bees! The site was clean and level and never had bees near us. The views of the mountains and gardens were breathtaking and can be seen right from the site. We brought our telescope and had great views of the full moon, stars, and even several planets. It was very quiet and peaceful. Perfect little weekend getaway. We will definitely be coming back again! Would recommend for sure

Our 3-yr old twins LOVED getting to meet and feed the farm animals, and the people who live on site were very friendly and welcoming. The outdoor bathroom was the cleanest I’ve ever experienced and only a few minutes walk from our site. The showers were a nice feature as well!

This will be an odd review because I have not been to the site yet. I made a reservation for earlier in September but then had difficulty getting my van back from an up fitter. I could not make my previously paid for reservation, but Barb has been absolutely terrific!! I stayed in touch with her and let her know what my troubles were and she has been an angel. I will be getting there within the next three days, Lord willing, and I am certain beyond any doubt that my stay there will be extra extraordinary. These are class ass people. Not nearly enough of them to go around. Wm. Snyder

Absolutely perfect. The upper area for our trailer was level and easy to maneuver. The lower area was like off-leash heaven for our dogs. We didn't see another human the entire time. Extremely relaxing, and the hosts set up several areas to enjoy. 100% recommend this spot!

Tent camping at Oak Oasis was great! Plenty of room for parking, super kind and flexible hosts, just a great little spot. Plenty of exploring to be done around the area, and despite warnings of bad cell service, we had no issues on the site. Only possible complaint was numerous yellowjackets due to fallen fruit in the area, but they weren't too much of a bother. Would stay again :)

Weekend Trip to Lost Valley Farm Camp

My son and I went camping at Site 5. There was a bouquet of flowers on the table, drinking water, and rinse water provided. My son loved the hammock. Fire wood was provided and we had great campfires. We took the farm tour and loved it. We also went to the swimming hole that directions were provided for and had a great time. Galilee and Brent spent some time with us, and Brent showed my son the cool swings that went way out around the tree and helped catch him. We loved it experience and look forward to going back next year!

We really enjoyed our one night stay. Kay was very welcoming and accommodating. The gardens are beautiful and her educational tour was great. Large private campsites with room to spread out. Also a great hilltop spot for night sky viewing!

Where to go

Cowlitz County Lakes

Woodland is near some pretty spectacular lakes. Two of the largest are Lake Merwin and Yale Lake, both of which are popular spots to camp, hike, and swim.

The Columbia Gorge

Straddling the Columbia River, which divides Oregon and Washington, the Columbia Gorge is famous for its scenic outlooks and ample hiking opportunities. The Oregon side in particular is known for its waterfalls, including Multnomah Falls, one of the tallest year-round falls in the country.

Mount Saint Helens and Around

Known for its devastating eruption in 1980, Mount Saint Helens draws visitors interested in natural history and geology, as well as hiking enthusiasts. It's also home to the Ape Cave, the longest continuous lava tube in the lower 48.

When to go

It rarely gets too cold or too hot in Woodland, Washington, though it can get pretty rainy. Finding yourself in a downpour is possible even in the relatively dry summer months, whereas if you spend any significant amount of time in the area from mid-autumn through spring, rain is practically inevitable. If you are planning to camp, you’ll have the warmest, driest days and nights in July and August; June and September are close runners up.
