Our 35 acre farm is located on a mountainside with beautiful views of the Clinch Mountain. Our location is rural and peaceful with abundant wildlife. Deer, Racoons, Opossums, Bobcats, Bear, Fox, Groundhogs, and Turkey have been spotted on the property. We are a great spot for bird watching as well! Camp Grassland: Two of our prepped campsites are on a flattened area of the hillside field with access to a fire pit, log bench, and porta-potty. This location is in direct sun with beautiful views and easy access from the road. Parking at the top of the field is recommended unless you have a 4WD vehicle.  Cabin Breazy: Situated at one of the highest points on the property, Cabin Breazy is our cozy, off-grid, dry A-frame cabin surrounded by mountain views. Farmhouse Holler: 2nd Campsite is located next to our old farmhouse on a lower section of the property. Its near the natural spring and is shaded. There are no convenient bathroom facilities at this location so it is recommended to bring your own. Reaching the porta-potty would require an extensive uphill hike or driving around to the other entrance. To reach this campsite, the driveway could be considered rough terrain so drive slowly. Lowered vehicles or those with little ground clearance are not recommended.  Each campsite has a max occupancy of 2 people. If you need space for more campers, please reach out to us about how many are in your party. We can host groups with advanced notification. Overlanding vehicles are welcome. Attractions: If you are looking for birds-eye view of the area, visit the Mendota Fire Tower only 3.2 mile away. You can see it from the farm and see the farm from it. It's about a 15 minute hike from the road. You can choose the mildly challenging way up or take the old roadway for a smoother walk. Clinch River is only 20 minutes away. Cool off in the river or enjoy kayaking and tubing opportunities from Clinch River Adventures. Closest convenience store is about 15 minutes away. Closest Grocery store is about 20 minutes away. Friendly-leashed pets are welcome on the property. Remember to always keep your pet tethered as we have free roaming animals on the property. Never leave pets unattended on the property. It was a very enjoyable experience in this rustic cabin. I was traveling with my dog and we had plenty of space for the both of us. At night you could hear the local creek and in the morning I hiked around the property. There was snow the first night but we were able to get wood for the stove and were very comfortable. Would recommend and will stay again when passing through.

1 night at Raven Ridge

Beautiful drive in following a river, location was easy to find when set in town (service cuts out). The house is cozy and gorgeous. Climate was easy to control with heaters/fan. Full kitchen and running water indoors was great to get a shower. Outhouse with compost toilet + shower/tub and sink in the indoors upstairs were great after camping. Beautiful land with cows (and I've been tipped off that baby goats will be joining the farm as well) worth a stroll about. Would definitely come back!

The tiny house was so lovely and warm, decorated in a really welcoming way. James was very generous and picked up batteries for us in town when we realized our camera was out. The nature sounds and starry sky were so gorgeous and we loved going for hikes, walking around their little neighborhood and the adjoining community spaces, and visiting the hot springs. Kitchen was well stocked, as was the bookshelf and music collection. I would absolutely love to visit again! Accessibility notes: parking is down a small hill from the house. The house has a sweet patio with about 3 stairs to access on the front and back. The bedroom is up a beautiful spiral staircase of about 10 steps, which was a bit finicky to navigate, but there were written instructions that going up the stairs backwards could help (we didn't try this). The outhouse is a little ways away from the house with about 3 stairs to access, front and back.

The Artist Studio was the perfect spot to stay on a solo road trip from Eastern Virginia to Nashville. The property was stunning and the studio was clean & cozy. Outstanding location 10 min from downtown Johnson City. The host, Pat, left delicious baked goods in the fridge of the studio. My highlight of the stay was enjoying a fresh baked good & coffee in the sun room overlooking the pond. Highly recommend!

Talk about a slice of heaven! James was so accommodating and gave great directions and fast communication. The cabin is so magical, clean, and has the best books! We loved staying at the sight. Enjoyed the privacy and the view, and the hot tub. This was in spite of Mother Nature giving us rain for 3 days. Kevin went out of his way to provide us with dry wood; we just couldn't use it. The facility was clean, great condition. It was high-end and we plan to return at another time. Thanks!

Ravens Ridge was a beautiful getaway. With rustic charms and spectacular views.... Even from bed! Cantral to places to explore. Went to Bryson City for the train ride through the mountains. Gatlinburg is so close as well to find fun to get into. Definitely be prepared for the walk up to the cabin but it was a beautiful and well needed retreat.

I couldn’t say enough nice things about this spot. It’s GORGEOUS! You fall asleep and wake up to the sound of a waterfall, it’s so peaceful. The barn itself is so cute. We were there for a girls camping/slumber party weekend, and it was just the perfect backdrop in every way. Briana and her mom were so kind, and really responsive when we needed something. It really was a 10/10 experience.

Awesome camping spot on a Beautiful old tobacco farm. Usually like to use my own tent but this one was the only available one for last minute trip! The tent was very big and had power ran to it which was a plus! We had a great time and will definitely be back! Short drive to Max Patch so.we woke up and took the hike to the top! Weekend Trip to Mountain Homestead

This was a wonderful stay. The barn had essentials and was as beautiful and rustic as the pictures. Hosts were responsive and helpful during our stay. My pup loved getting to explore the trails and getting in the water. My only note is to confirm your route to get to the homestead goes through Walnut. Coming from Georgia, my GPS directed us up the mountain and led to a dirt road that was too steep for my car to make it up and drove an additional hour around the mountain to the other side with limited cell service, having to ask a neighbor for directions once nearby. Once we did find it, it was worth all the effort! There were plenty of blankets when I was a little less prepared for the cool nights. We will be back!
