Beth was very welcoming in and friendly when we arrived at Blue Mist. Actually Shadow (the kitty) greeted us first (A+) but we felt very welcomed and it was a very peaceful and relaxing stay. Lovely views across the farmland of the surrounding hilltops and mountains. Close to town if you want/need to grab groceries or coffee or a beer at the brewery. It was just what we needed on our journey. Next time we are near Enumclaw we would love to stay here again!

2 nights at Hawthorn Farm

Winter Wren Woods provided a private and magical setting for our first annual moms n’ kids campout. The kids had the time of their lives filming a Harry Potter themed action movie over a couple of days. Having 4 acres of forest all to ourselves was amazing. It’s a safe environment to let younger kids explore independently (our gaggle of children went from 6-10 yrs) so moms mostly got to relax while the kids spent the last week before school starts as feral fae forest creatures. What could be better? Light sleepers may want to bring earplugs. The after hours Barred Owl Party was positively lit. Super mystical and cool- also noisy. If you’re unfamiliar with them they sound like owls first and then become absurd cartoon characters. Great fun, and it’s wonderful to know there are spaces nearby where night creatures are still wild. 100% 10/10 would recommend.
