I have stayed at this HipCamp in the past and liked it so much I decided to come back. The sites themselves offer the basics: table, chairs, fire pit, tent spot. But the best parts of this campground are the outdoor kitchens, outdoor game area, and all of the wooden gnomes to find. I would come back here for another stay!

Great sites. The hosts were so kind and accommodating. The bathrooms were clean and even had a pet wash. Full hook ups and the yurts really made us want to come stay in those sometime. Will be back in a few weeks.

Really cool space. I stayed in camp 0. While folks with mobility issues may struggle a bit with being up hill, I didn't find it to be an issue at all and the cheaper price meant I could stay longer. That being said, all the sites looked great. The kitchen was so nice for breakfast and to cook up the mushrooms I foraged nearby. Eventually the shower curtain will need to be changed but that hot shower in a cold night was amazing. Super close to so many things. I'll definitely be coming back.

The host is friendly and knows the area. The place is very clean. They were mindful with how many campers were there and allowed space so we were secluded.
They're friendly to rooftop tent camping as well.

Sol Duc retreat was one of the best camping experiences we’ve ever had. An amazing place to explore, so many great carvings, great people and everything you need to relax and enjoy nature and still be clean, make food and new friends. We will definitely be back!!

Our site was secluded and the whole property is very cool. Its proximity to the Olympic discovery trail is also a bonus. I would note that the drive into the site was easy for us in a rav4, but could be challenging with anything bigger than that. Sites are small but manageable!

Perfect location to explore the Olympic Peninsula and NP. Although there’s a handful of sites, ours (site 3) was very private and quiet. It’s nice to be able camp somewhere with a kitchen, bathrooms, shower and potable water! Our 2-year old loved all of the wooden statues :)

I enjoyed our stay! Our camp spot was very private and the grounds were cozy and magical!!! I loved the wood art, shared kitchen space, the fun hanging lounging area, and the 2 mile walk to the lake. Would 100% stay here again!!!
My only thing is that the bathrooms could use a little cleaning/throwing away of luffas and bath products others left behind. It did not take away from the experience - just my two cents! Also i think our site was the only site without the twinkle lights which is 100% fine, we just wish we had them because they were so nice at the other sites! But please don’t take that as anything negative.

Wow! This place is a magical forest escape! Our most expensive campsite on our month journey but WORTH IT! I’m so glad we chose to book this for two nights. The location is fabulous with access to a number of trails from the site itself and it is at the entrance to Sol Duc … so much to do we couldn’t even explore it all. The property is also has so many amenities we didn’t have anywhere else and a charm that is all its own. There are fun wood carvings, excellent communal spaces, tons of seating, relaxing areas and little trails and a stream that runs through it.
IT IS TIGHT - for larger vehicles check that you can access your space. We drove in with a Hyundai Santa Fe and made it but I can see anything much larger might be a challenge depending on the site. Directions are a little questionable but follow them - they are accurate. The pull off across from Sol Duc IS the entrance!
I camped with my two sons and they loved the exploring options, wandering around the small trails and reading on the giant rope-bed. I went to the communal kitchen for internet access (they have satellite at the center 😅 what a blessing in these forests of cell service depreciation lol) and I always found other travelers gathered there. We didn’t need any kitchen facilities but they had two spaces on site that appeared well stocked!

What a magical place! Great for families. What we loved: the carved art, twinkle lights, covered ping pong table, access to trails, platforms and pads for tents. What we liked: flush toilets, showers, kitchens, games available like bocce and poker. What wasn’t our favorite: some guests left their messes in the kitchens and bathrooms that led us to cleaning up stuff that wasn’t ours just to be able to cook or shower and the road noise at our camp spot.
Overall, a pretty perfect camping experience for our large family and friend with whimsical touches throughout the camp, and close proximity to many family friendly activities.

It was great however since it was on a slope, good thing I had a good car to be able to park !
It was night and so it was pitchblack when I arrived, I couldn't go to the bathroom area.
However, in the morning, it was better to go around. The facilities are nice and clean.

The campsite was easily laid out and had such an awesome atmosphere with lots of kind people taking care of the place. My boyfriend and I used their shared sink to dishes after cooking dinner up at our campsite, which made things super easy. There was also plenty of hot water for showers, and the bathrooms were clean and stocked with towels and supplies. We were pleasantly surprised with live music on our last night, making a fun experience all together, though i will say the partying continued up until 4am, so maybe a warning or a quiet hour for next time. All together, we had a lot of fun, and would recommend this to couples looking to get away.

Absolutely gorgeous camp site, probably the best I’ve ever been to. Every little carefully curated detail with the wood carvings of mushrooms and benches immersed us into a different world when taking our morning walks. Would absolutely recommend this magical place!
