2 nights at Green Acre Camp

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Great Stay! We stayed at Green Acre Campground for two nights and had a great experience. The campground is nicely secluded, making it a peaceful getaway, though it is located off a busy road. One thing to note—AT&T and Verizon didn’t have any service during our stay, so definitely download your movies or shows beforehand if you plan on relaxing with some entertainment. It’s a short drive into town where you’ll find everything you need—Safeway, QFC, McDonald’s, gas stations, and some great local parks. The campsite itself was beautiful, with plenty of deer roaming through the area, which made for a really cool experience. Overall, a great place to unplug and enjoy nature.

Great, quiet camp spot. We might have been a tad bit long- 28’ plus tuck but we were able to make it work! Driveway is long and steep. Camp spot was peaceful. Nearly stepped on a black snake getting out to back my husband into the spot 😅. My girls loved petting the black and white cat- they miss her/him already! We were not able to find a trash can for disposal but otherwise all was perfect!

4 nights at Dick's Last Resort on the River

This was one of the most enjoyable camping trips we’ve ever had! The campsite was secluded, well maintained and had a wonderful fire pit right on the creek. There’s a very large pagoda with lights, power and a nice sized picnic table perfect for meals and board games. There are two full hookups for trailers and a very clean port-a potty. The best part of our entire experience is that we were able to let our dogs run around, play in the creek and just be dogs. They had the time of their lives! Richard and Victoria were fantastic hosts. Very friendly and they made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our time. This will definitely be an annual trip for us from now on.

Weekend Trip to Velvaere Nordic Spa Campsite

Jen and Brett have created a really great space on their land. The campsite was clean and well thought out with string lights, electric outlet, water spigot and composting toilet to make your stay more convenient and comfortable. You need to understand that you are fairly close to their home but you do have adequate privacy and the neighborhood is very peaceful. You may hear their children playing in the yard and sounds of dogs barking occasionally, but that's country life and we enjoyed it! We also very much enjoyed visits from Sage, the family's 9 year old schnoodle, she was so sweet and also very protective of her land which made us feel extra safe. We really enjoyed exploring the whole Northern Kitsap peninsula from Kingston to Hansville to Port Gamble; the spot is in a nice central location on the northern peninsula. If you want to explore all the area has to offer and have a really nice space to camp I highly recommend this spot!

We stayed here 2 consecutive weekends. Wonderful, peaceful location. Everyone camping was respectful and quiet. Would definitely recommend and will be top of our list when we return to the area.

Weekend Trip to Dick's Last Resort on the River

Beautiful and peaceful campsite. We had everything we needed to stay dry on a rainy day as well as the calming sound of the river. 2 nights was not long enough. It was hard to leave. We would highly recommend campsite 2 for those with kiddos as the river is calmer than campsite 1. We are already looking at wanting to reserve for next year. This campsite is a hidden treasure.

We stayed at this property for several nights. The owners are very nice and responsive. The property is beautifully maintained and the alpacas and other animals are fun to see. We added the salted caramel butter bars to our stay. Oh man, soooo yummy! We highly recommend those! Thank you to Mark & Kandi!

Wonderful spot with electricity and the greatest view. My family enjoyed how clean and relaxing the place was. Sites are distanced away so there is much privacy for all campers. Love the sound of the water as we’re relaxing and sleeping. Would definitely come back!

We are located on a greenbelt off a dead end street. Enjoy the view of the city lights right outside your van or say hi to our two friendly goats. You might spot our resident coyotes or friendly bunnies during your stay. 10 minutes from the city but feels like you are out in your own private forest! Hose hook up and standard power outlet (15amp) available during your stay. Only a 10-15 minute uber/taxi to downtown or 5 minutes to nearby restaurants/bars. Not the most walkable but just a short car ride from most things! (Downtown, Alki Beach, Georgetown, Airport) We live in an urban setting so you may encounter noise from nearby vehicles, airplanes, fire trucks, etc. This site can only accommodate camper vans or class c motor homes no larger than 25ft. Driver will need to backdown our long driveway to park in the designated site on the side of our house. Please no more than three people and one vehicle. We may be able to make accommodations based on your situation but please message us first! We can only accommodate towable rvs no larger than 20ft in total length including trailer tongue. You must be able to backdown long driveway and park tow vehicle on street. Campfires are welcome in the designated fire pit at the bottom of our hill. Please note there are quite a few steep steps to get there. Please request using this area in advance. Option to purchase farm fresh eggs from our neighbors chickens. Half dozen are $5.00 and can be requested in advance. We operate our rental business out of our home so you may encounter driveway traffic during your stay.

Due to the narrow entry off Paradise Bay Road, the maximum RV lengths are 35’ for Motorhomes and 25’-30’ for Travel Trailers. Our property has nice views of Puget Sound/Hood Canal where cruise ships, cargo ships, and naval vessels often pass. On a clear day, you will see Mount Baker. Power (30A/20A) and water hookups provided. Comfy campsite chairs (2), picnic table and a fire-ring with cooking grate (depending on burn-ban) included. There is no wi-fi, but cell phone reception is typically very good. Enjoy the private community beach, picnic area and boat ramp (for smaller vessels), just a 4-minute walk from campsite. Bring binoculars to watch for sea lions, seals and Orcas (sometimes). The eastern part of the Olympic Peninsula has many great trails in the Olympic National Park (35 minutes away). We also have local trails in Port Ludlow less than 10 minutes away. Easy access to Sequim, John Wayne Marina (with larger boat launch), Port Angeles and Port Townsend as well as the Olympic Discovery Trail for a great bike riding adventure Important Notes: • For your safety, Hipcamp requires background checks for all Hosts. • For our safety, Hipcamp requires Hipcamper profiles include renter’s real full name. We reserve the right to cancel reservations that do not provide a real full name. • Firewood may be purchased anytime via the App, however we recommend you wait until arrival to confirm no “Burn-Ban” in effect. • We have neighbors nearby, but privacy is maintained. • The main access (Paradise Bay Road) is about 75 feet away from the campsite and can be busy with traffic at times. David, his wife, and everyone else that helps maintain the property were SO sweet and welcoming. Seems like it would be a lovely place to stay in the winter, so thats when I'd like to come back! 5 stars all the way for everything here, the thoughtfulness of the cabins, the cleanliness, the readily available kitchen and the hospitality. You will also find many hiking trails and parks nearby! There is weak cell service on the lot, so you may or may not be able to connect. I get 1-2 bars with Sprint. While this property is not very far off the Dosewallips road (35 mph), it is generally very quiet and peaceful. You may hear cars and motorcycles from time to time, but very faintly. The lot is at about 350 ft. elevation, so you may get noise traveling up the valley from the residential community below (to which I belong), such as dogs, people using chainsaws, etc. There is hunting allowed in the national forest, so you could potentially hear guns in the distance during the day, but that is rare. There are a few close neighbors, so please be respectful and quiet, especially in the evening. Please bring your own firewood when campfires are allowed and please do not forage for firewood on or around the property. Lastly, while the sightings have been few and rare, the neighbors have seen bears, cougars, coyotes, and bobcats near their homes and this property. So keep an eye on your children and pets, especially if off-leash (your pet of course!) The property also slopes a bit where the deck starts, so again, keep a close eye on the kiddos. You have a very good chance of seeing the local Roosevelt Elk that travel in huge herds around Brinnon (See pics). They sometimes lay down and hang out on the grass on the property! Make sure your pets have their flea and tick updates!

New for 2024 is a gazebo with outdoor furniture and a propane fireplace. And a new picnic table located adjacent to the RV pad. In 2023 I installed a mesh WiFi system that gets good coverage at the site. Kick back and watch a movie on your laptop. Connection information is on the electric outlet adjacent to the site. In 2022 I had a gravel pad installed. I mention it as some of the older photos show folks needing levelers. Not the case anymore. Overhead clearance to wires is about 12 feet. JET NOISE DISCLAIMER: Most of north Whidbey is in the training flight path for NASWI (including our property) so you will likely hear (and see!) navy jets overhead during your stay. If you are sensitive to noise this may not be a good location for you. NOTE: We live and work on the property (our house and shop are both ~100 feet from the Island Oasis site). We are very respectful of guest privacy but easy to reach if you need anything.

It's a Very beautiful private open RV and Trailer Site on the Skagit River. I have currently owned the property for 10 or so years. This is one of my happy places to bring friends and family and relax. This is where we get our river therapy. Nothing better than sitting by the camp fire watching the river flow and listening to the nature. There is a nice big fire pit as well as a log picnic table. Lots of room to lounge around and enjoy the peace and quiet. Watch the eagle and fish on the river as you sit by the campfire. Kayak down the river from RockPort bridge and pull out right at camp. It's about a two and half hour float down with a Kayak right to camp. Close drive to Baker Lake for the day to hike or sight see. An hour or so away from North Cascade Hwy passes. Or if you feel like a drive, head to Winthrop for the day and walk the town. Fishing can be done right at the site or a short walk to the point. Check the fishing regulations for the time of year you want to fish.
