The site is at the very end of the popular "Black canyon" section of the Methow river. Rafting and fishing guides use this property regularly. There is ample space for boat and trailer parking. Nirvana gardens is at 3000 feet in the North Cascades of Washington. It is 140 acres with a private lake. You will have access to hundreds of acres of roaming with your own private lake. Trail run, hike, Mountain Bike, lake swim, or just sit, meditate, and read a book on the cedar dock watching the sun sets. Nirvana is available in winter with certain requirements. Please message before booking to get a list of the requirements for winter months October 20th to April 1st. I had been searching for over 2 years for a property where I could make a difference in the environment and live in the wilderness. I was looking for water on a large tract of land that was remote. In 2017 I found the perfect property and to my dismay it had sold 2 days before I saw the listing. I was shocked because this was the perfect property. In my 2 years of searching I knew exactly what I wanted and this was the property. It had a private lake with fish. A solar cabin with a flush toilet and hot shower. The cabins 8 foot windows faced West for magical sunsets and view of the storms that roll in from the coast. It was beautifully treed with just the right amount of open meadow and forest with Hemlock, Ponderosa pine, and Larch. How could this property be sold? I tried to let it go but thought about it for the next year. After a year and a half had passed and my search continued I came across an advertisement for this magical property, it was up for sale again. I called the real estate agent immediately and found that an offer had been made but the buyers could not commit for 5 more months. I made an offer that day not really knowing how I was going to pull off the money. I knew this property was meant for me. I wrote the owner a letter explaining that I was a land steward and that this land would never be developed. I would be putting it in a land trust where no developers could put up condos. The owner happened to be a environmentally focused human and he ended up selling to me. Come to find out when I had first saw the property sold a year and a half before, that transaction had fallen through. The owner had just taken it off the market for the winter. You will absolutely love the magic of Nirvana Gardens. The quiet, the wild animals, the crystal clear lake, clean air, and relaxing healing atmosphere of the ultimate nature bath.

Weekend Trip to Nirvana Gardens

We really loved our stay at Matt's cabin, which was so homey and comfortable. The solar cabin was easy to use, and we had plenty of energy for all of our needs. The cabin sits on a very quiet 100 acres, and we had a blast playing around in the lake and running around the property with our dog, who got to be off leash the entire time. A few things to note: The cabin is pretty remote, and the road is slow, so definitely stock up on groceries ahead of time! (The kitchen is well equipped, so cooking is easy there.) The road up to the cabin is narrow but in very good shape right now--our AWD Volkswagen ID.4 handled it just fine in mid-September. Also, while at the cabin, we did run into one neighbor passing by in his pickup truck (he was very friendly) and one propane delivery truck, so keep that in mind if you have a dog (like ours) who is a car chaser. (Luckily we could hear the trucks long before we saw the trucks!) Also, we could get intermittent cell service, especially on the hillier parts of the property, if you need to use your phone or check e-mails occasionally while there. But Matt's cabin is a wonderful place for completely ignoring your phone if you can! Finally, Matt is a lovely person, and he's very easy to communicate with. We're very much looking forward to visiting again.

I loved tent camping here. Great little place for somebody like myself who was just passing through. The bathhouse was extremely clean and that’s what stood out to me the most. Host was very accommodating to my arrival, definitely plan on using this campsite if I’m ever passing through again.

When I was searching for rural/off the grid, this is exactly what I was talking about! When we pulled up to the house, the first thing we saw were 5-6 deer gathered in the yard chomping on grass. I was particularly excited about this trip because I got to bring my extremely anxious dog with us. From the minute we got there to the second we left, I have never seen my boy so relaxed and in his element. He was allowed to be off leash, and explore. It was so amazing and refreshing to watch him be so carefree! We sat around staring/listening to the deer, birds, ducks, turtles. We took our paddle boards around the lake and it was so unbelievably quiet and peaceful! If you want to get away from the noise and the people, this is your place!

Weekend Trip to Nirvana Gardens

My wife and I had one of the most relaxing stays on vacation that I believe we have ever had! Upon arrival, you feel as if you are in the most remote peaceful place that you only imagine about. The first thing we saw across the lake was a spiraling water spout due to one rogue gust of wind that whipped directly toward us across the lake and swept right over us and immediately after that an eagle swooped down upon the lake.(Sounds scary, but it wasnt lol. It's a mountainous region and its to be expected). Didnt think much of it at the time but kind of had a profound meaning after it happened. After that, it was as peaceful as could be. We watched deer wander through the surrounding area with little to care of our existence every day that we were there. We both spent hours just relaxing with a book, sitting in the sun on the deck or out on the dock. Do you enjoy just seeing nature? You will enjoy the vast amount of it! Chipmunks, turtles, birds of all kinds and many a dragonfly! The cabin is cozy as can be and was quite comfortable even in the 90° weather that we experienced while we were there as long as you use the covers in the daytime. You feel as if you are the only people on the planet and every moment is yours. Matt is also very great at communicating what is needed and he is a very gracious host and seams like just a wonderful human being. We definitely hope to make it back someday!

Our particular spot was perfect for us. We have a 40' toyhauler and a 25' cab and chassis truck. The spot had enough for that plus our jeep and then some. The views are great. The sound of the river is perfect. The full hook ups are right next to the site.

Just had a great stay at Philville! Stayed in Osprey's Perch that had the best view for morning coffee, plus can't beat full hook-ups with a travel trailer. The walk to the river is easy and there's a great beach and swimming hole. Phil is a very accomodating host, super friendly and knowledgeable about the area and his little puppers are so cute! Definitely will stay again soon!

This is one of the rare places that is BETTER than the pictures! More like a nice hotel suite with a kitchen. Comfy extra wide bunks for my two teenagers and a private bedroom for us. So many thoughtful little touches—cool lamps, toiletries, and you don’t have to go outside for the immaculate bathroom. It’s in an RV/bunkhouse resort, so you walk or drive a bit to recreation. We were there to see the Grand Coulee—spectacular free night light show at the Dam and the turbine tour in the morning. (Free.) I include the picture of the view from the back bedroom because, while it may not be everyone’s cup of tea, it’s very much mine. I was there to show my kids the immense scale of inland industrial infrastructure. There were decoupling trains in the early morning and my 17 year old and I watched the engines—and the deer—and talked about what it took to build American civilization, from the silos to the trains to the dams. It turned philosophical. Absolutely loved it and will be back.

Gorgeous spot on the Methow River. Brought our dog and didn’t hear a single firework which we loved. Phil is a nice host and we would definitely stay here again. Gravel spot for RV (much more stable with “legos” under feet)with water and electric. Must pack out your garbage. Access to sandy/rocky beach which was lovely to hangout in in our camp chairs while our dog splashed around.
