This is a very private and quiet place, more of a sanctuary and not a party place. The only thing you hear is nature, a breeze through the pine trees, the birds, and the creek. This property was and is an organic permaculture farm in the forest. There are two orchards and an organic garden. The water is from a spring. The La Luna cabin is no longer off grid, but if the power does go out, it's a great place to be.. Hot Showers at my cabins are private and outdoors. There's nothing more wonderful than a hot spring-fed shower. The toilets are composting. (No water is wasted here)! Two of the cabins were built from the trees on the property by the first family that lived here in the earlier 1900s. The Birds Nest cabin was originally a tool shed that needed a LOT of Love to be in the condition that it is today. It does have power, running water and wi-fi. There is the option to take an acrylic painting class, banjo, guitar or fiddle lessons, paddleboard lessons, and have a real old-timey campfire with a glass of wine or two with live music performed by our famous Fiddlin Red on the fiddle, banjo, and guitar. Your experience here may change your life forever! We haven't added all the experiential options yet, so if there is something you are interested in please inquire. Every year we make it more and more magical and interesting. It's four miles up a county-maintained dirt road and one mile to a non-motorized lake. I can't see my neighbors, but they are awesome artists and musicians and some of them are off the grid! If you're bringing a pet, they must be on a leash and be quiet pets. If you are bringing a child they also need to be quiet and respectful. I want to keep my neighbors and my other guests happy with a peaceful atmosphere. Thank you!

Weekend Trip to Spokane River Lodge - Guest Suite

Rocky was a super gracious and helpful host. The room was clean and comfortable and the amenities were amazing! Rocky even had s'mores stuff set out for the campfire. We really enjoyed the hot tub and hiking down by the river. Worth every penny!

Wonderful place with river views in quiet serene neighborhood of Spokane. Rocky was very helpful and check in and out was easy. The great little touches in the kitchenette with coffee included cream and milk along with snacks. Highly recommend the place if you’re traveling through Spokane and need a cozy quiet place to relax.

Camping in our 37’ 5th wheel in the orchard was a great blessing to our family. It is a peaceful location where hawks can be heard screeching during the day and owls and night. The fresh apples we picked were delicious. :) The 50amp power allowing us to run our AC was critical as the temps it 88f on one day. We would 100% stay again.

Weekend Trip to Bearcat acres

Fantastic spot for tent camping! Our site was a beautiful little glen, surrounded by trees, with a babbling brook running at the edge. The ground is flat and mostly level, so it worked well for our 10 person tent. Because of Red Flag conditions, we didn't get to use it, but Warner had a fire pit and wood already at the site. There was a large cable spindle that functioned as a good size table. The site has a little trail that leads back into the woods for a relaxing hike if you want. Warner provides an indoor bathroom and potable water from an artesian well, just yards from the "entrance" to our site. There was even a super friendly cat that would stroll through to say 'Hi' once in awhile. It was a fantastically beautiful and relaxing place to spend a long weekend.

Wonderful place for an overnight stay. Comfy bed, gracious hosts, and a fully fenced orchard for my dogs to run. Appreciated the easy entry and feeling of being safe. Will definitely try again when in the area!

A peaceful escape surrounded by nature! The little cabin was nestled in the woods, it was very cozy and private. Mornings with birdsong, hummingbirds humming around feeder and evenings under a sky full of stars made our stay unforgettable. Highly recommend for a relaxing getaway. The Phoenix Rising Ranch is a special place. Lori was a great, sweet host.

This was such a beautiful experience all around! My husband and I absolutely recommend this spot if you love being in the forest while enjoying the benefits of having water and electricity still. The compostable outdoor toilet was actually quite nice too! We appreciate that she cares about our beautiful planet which is so importantto us personally. This was a much needed getaway and she responded quickly when we had a question while we were there. Awesome place hosted by an awesome woman.

A quiet getaway for our family. The stars were amazing at night. Our tent was surrounded by nature's beauty with wildflowers and greenery everywhere. A quick trip to Sand Point was easy and convenient for a short exploratory afternoon away. Lori was very friendly and gave a quick tour upon arrival.

Weekend Trip to Nàdair Orchard

Lovely drive from town, great gated location with provided parking. Trailer was small but the bed itself was great! Lots of soft bedding and dark curtains were wonderful. Host was nice and made me feel safe. As a solo female traveler, it was greatly appreciated! Bathroom was close by, and very clean! Super thankful for the provided shower amenities, even though I didn't need them. Provided shower towel was soft. Overall great spot, highly recommended for solo travelers, because the bed might be a little small for two adults.

Weekend Trip to Bearcat acres

We had a fantastic time at Bearcat Acres! Warner was warm and welcoming, and the land is just beautiful. We were able to hike all over the property and explore, as well as create a nice home base to hang out in. The glen where we set up was both sunny and shady, and the kids loved roasting marshmallows over the firepit. Warner is still making improvements to the property and you can see how much care he has for the land.
