This is a gorgeous park-like RV campground situated between the trees of the arboretum. No tents, please. Also we have NO public restrooms. Beautiful view of the mountains and forests here in western Washington. We are close to Mt. St. Helens and Mt. Rainier and several lakes. There are walking trails all around the site. The 12 acre campground is located on a 136 acre property that is an active Christmas tree farm. Trails continue throughout the tree farm. Many trails have a view of the Tilton River, which can be reached via a challenging 3/4 mile trail. Sites are on 10 acres planted with many different species of trees that are about 30 years old. Giant Redwoods, Cedars, and Maples are just a few of the varieties present. Part of the farm is still a working Christmas tree farm. The trails are wide and grassy. The old logging road that we use as a trail to the river has an elevation change of about 500 feet, the trail can be quite challenging. Bear Creek empties into the Tilton river at the end of the trail. There is an ART GALLERY where you can learn to pound flowers, see the host's artwork and get a cup of coffee! This is upstairs above the shop, right on the property. Tilton River Studio Gallery. Three sites have electrical hookups. Weekend Trip to Alder Grove Retreat

This place is awesome! Dawson has done an amazing job with creating the space. It has everything you could need! You can really tell a lot of thought has gone into the place and a lot of work has been involved. We had the best time and were so cozy together. We were lucky to have rain over night and it was so peaceful listening to the rain on the roof as we fell asleep. The directions provided made it very easy to find and a couple of wagons and a lantern are available to help you get your things out to the cabin. As we came in November, we didn’t get the opportunity to use the outdoor space. But we still braved using the shower and it’s worth it, so toasty and incredible views! Inside is cozy and comfortable. The kitchenette has everything you could need. That bed though! So comfy, as someone who deals with chronic pain, I really appreciate how comfortable the bed is! It was really nice to get off grid a little and put our phones away for the night. We had such a good time we are definitely looking to come back again next year in the summer hopefully! If you get the chance to stay here, do it!

Tent camped here off season for a couple days of hunting. Nice campground especially for the price as long as you don’t need a power pole which I don’t. Will camp here again! Especially appreciate the firewood program of wood provided just pay for it with a QR code via PayPal if you didn’t bring your own.

I appreciated every little thoughtfully placed and prepared detail of this cabin! Like the title says, it’s got everything you need— and more. The only mistake I made was not booking a longer stay! Weekend Trip to Peace on Earth

Perfect autumnal rainy getaway with the pups! The cabin was cozy and quite private, but close enough to town that we could make a quick trip to pick up the pancake mix we’d forgotten (oops!). Comfy couch, sweet bed nook, and plenty of trails and spots for the dogs to explore.

Weekend Trip to Misty Meadows Adventures Mt.Rainier

This was our second time staying at Steve and Starla’s campsite! The property is spacious and well kept, also close to the Mt. Rainier park entrance. Although the weather this time was not ideal, our group had a great time during our trip. Thank you to Steve for suggesting site 2 which is a little higher ground and surrounded by trees to keep us a little drier during our stay. The hosts were able to answer any questions we had in a timely manner. Overall I would highly recommend this campsite. Thank you again for hosting us and wish you well in the future!

This was the ideal spot for our week-long trip, staying in the foothills of Mt Rainier. Surrounded by trees (the land is an old Christmas tree farm!), a hiking trail on property, dog friendly, full hook-ups for the RV and plenty of space, an hour from the trailhead in the park, and the sweetest hosts. Would absolutely encourage any camper(s) looking to spend some time in a quaint mountain town close to Rainier, to stay here!
