Historically, Deep Creek Canyon was a winter encampment for the Spokane Indians, whose ancestral lands surround us. We feel the healing spirit of the land, in partnership and stewardship. We gather community for Solstice & Equinox celebrations, bringing people together to honor the changing seasons. Our original house was one of the first in the canyon, in the early 1940's. I'm a 3rd generation farmer, working the same land as my father and grandfather. Hidden Acres Orchards is a 60 acre, u-pick fruit, vegetable, and flower farm. Camp within the luscious fruit tree rows, in the middle of a vibrant pumpkin patch or even in the petting zoo! Animals welcome! IMPORTANT INFORMATION TO KNOW: We are a real working farm, not like a romanticized IG version of a farm. There are tractors running, sprayers making applications, farm animals loudly enjoying life, day customers picking fruit, and farmers about early in the morning. With that being said, we understand that experience may not be to everyone's liking. Be aware that if you do decide to camp here be ready for a real farm adventure! Another little tidbit: to grow food, we try to maximize the amount of sun it receives- SHADE IS VERY LIMITED. ALL CAMPSITES ARE U-PICK, THERE ARE NO DESIGNATED CAMPSITES. Let your creativity shine and choose as dope a spot as you like! If you're scared of driving off a paved road or frightened by the natural world we suggest glamping at another lovely Green Bluff location. Starting SEPTEMBER 23RD until OCTOBER 31ST every weekday we host hundreds of school kids on the farm. They start arriving around 9:00 am. If the sound of children's laughter drives you absolutely insane, you might think twice about booking a stay with us in the fall. Winter camping is available, please note we typically receive a lot of snow. Early spring is the extreme mud season, please be cautious of our soft ground and stick to the roads. July-August can get very dry some years, which means the grass goes dormant and dust starts to fly. Farm=Dirt MAX STAY IS 14 DAYS. No Side by Sides (UTV's), dirt bikes, or ATV's allowed to be rallied on the property. We can suggest close spots to rally. Bookings must be done though this site, we do not take payment for stays at the farm. Agriculture 101: In the early spring, fruit trees awaken from winter dormancy, bloom for a few weeks, and are pollinated by insects; the pollinated blossoms SLOWLY develop into fruit over the summer. As much as we’d like instant fruit in the spring, nature doesn’t work that way. Fruit development takes time.

The Hidden Frog On Kelso Lake

Tucked away in the mossy rocks, The Hidden Frog offers a half acre of private, forested camping on the banks of Kelso Lake. The 60 acre lake allows non-motorized watercraft only, which makes for a peaceful, relaxing stay. The parking area has room for a vehicle and trailer up to 60ft long combined, plus another area for a single vehicle. It is adjacent to a shared driveway, so you must leave room for vehicles to get around you. You can choose to set up camp there, or down a short path to the lake where there is ample flat ground for multiple tents. The path is cleared but rocky, so always make sure to watch your step! A fire ring, shovel, bucket of water, emergency fire extinguisher, 2 chairs and one 13gal garbage bag are provided for your use. I live next door, so I'm around if there is anything you need (don't be afraid to ask!) There are no other amenities right now, but we plan on adding some as we start to make some money (i.e. an outhouse, electrical.) The shoreline is very bushy and rocky- not ideal for fishing, boating or swimming, but there is a free public boat launch site .4mi down the road, plus another at Granite lake .7mi away. Both offer a toilet, and a place for swimming and fishing (must have a fishing licence.) Please respect the boundaries and do not cross into neighbors' yards. Also, do not disturb the mosses growing on the rocks (it is a fragile ecosystem!) and respect the wildlife that make the space their home. Wildlife you may encounter includes deer, moose, beaver, otters, chipmunks, squirrels, frogs, salamanders, eagles, osprey, blue herons, ducks, and many other bird species- we are located on the Idaho Birding Trail. This was a fun experience! We go to Hidden Acres for u-pick every year and never thought to camp there. So happy we did this time! Our kiddos and pups (on-leash of course; pups not kids!) loved exploring the orchards by moonlight, waking up with the animals in the crisp morning, and slept so well in the country air. Because we could pick our spot, all the campers felt quite secluded and like we had the place to ourselves. Even though we had our own trailer having access to a real washroom and an outside shower was a treat. Thanks to the whole team at Hidden Acres for giving us an experience that we come back for every year!

We love the lack of marked sites - just find your patch of land away from others and settle in. You can choose orchard or pumpkin field vibes. The farm store is great, with lots of great artisan foods. Try the breakfast pastries! In the fall the apples are amazing. On a school day you might see a field trip of kids in the play areas or stomping through the fields looking for pumpkins. A few other things: Cell service (we're AT&T) was sometimes okay for streaming, but sometimes switched to a band with no data. It was better at night. The shower is outdoors, open to the sky. Plenty of hot water. The handles are reversed - hot is on the right. Five bucks is a bit steep for a shower, but when you've been boondocking a while, it can be worth it. If you need more water, you can fill containers at an outdoor sink near the store. Across the road from the entrance is The Big Barn, a brewery with good beer, food truck, and live music out on the lawn. Nice atmosphere - we went two afternoons in a row.

The property, aptly named the Oasis years ago, is 34-acres of lawns, shade trees, ponds, and natural landscaping over 50 years in the making. The landscaping was started by Tom who still lives in the farmhouse. The Schierman family has owned this property for four generations. The Oasis is located in the rolling hills of the Palouse in eastern Washington State. The newly created Yonder Hills Disc Golf Course is a private 18 and 9-basket course with long and short pads for almost every basket. A mix of open lawn, wooded fairways, water hazards, and elevation changes. Day, overnight or weekly reservations must be made to enjoy this private course. The disc golf course is under construction with some layout changes on the last three baskets. It's playable but it isn't perfect yet. We had to shift focus to the barn restoration grant to meet the June 2025 deadline. This is a perfect basecamp to relax and unwind or be creative. Read in the lawn. Cook over the fire. Explore the Palouse. Disc golf anytime. Guests may bring their own private fire pits. Firewood is provided for the community fire pit. Yonder Hills can be reserved for larger group camps and private camping events. There is plenty of room for several vehicles and tailgate camping. Please contact us to request a reservation for a reunion, wedding, private party, disc golf tournament, or concert. There are no dedicated electrical hookups, sewage hookups, or potable water available at this time. Bottled or bulk water is available in in St. John five miles away. Electrical outlets in the gravel parking area can be used to charge small devices. We are constantly upgrading the property, look forward to better amenities as we grow. St. John has a bar/restaurant, grocery store, hardware stores, gas station, 2 hotel rooms, library, coffee and gift shops as well as a very nice 9-hole traditional golf course. There are numerous small towns, lakes, rivers/creeks, backroads, viewpoints, and historic stops around the Palouse region as well as amazing photography year round. Located in the Wandermere area in North Spokane County, we are just 20 minutes from downtown, and less than 30 minutes to Spokane International Airport. While hanging out on our Little Spokane River property, you could encounter moose, bald eagles, beavers, minks, ducks, geese, and other water fowl, hummingbirds, bats (in the evening), deer, and a countless variety of birds and other wildlife. On the other hand, you’re just a stone’s throw from Wandermere and Kalispel Golf Courses, movie theaters, restaurants, grocery and shopping. If you’re not in the mood to go out or cook, Uber Eats and the like can deliver whatever your heart desires! Complementary River-Side amenities are available to all guests of the property on a first come first serve basis include: - Community Port-a-potty tent - picnic table and a variety of seating options - hammock - floaties for “stationary floating” (connected to anchor in river) - life jackets - picnic blankets - ice chests (ice not available on site) - Small community propane BBQ grill Amenities available at additional cost include: - 2 person kayak rental with pickup downstream - 3 or 7 speed cruiser bike rentals - Inflatable paddle board rentals with transport to/from Bear or Loon Lake I also have one concrete up to 35ft RV Pad with water hookup and basic power. Our campground is also our Tree Farm. Situated approximately 13 miles from Spokane Valley in the community of Newman Lake. If you're seeking outdoor adventures, relaxation, or a mix of both, our location offers a wonderful blend of experiences, it has the feeling of being remote while being close to civilization. Beautiful, spacious, and secluded campsites on 76 acres. We are surrounded by trees where it is very quiet with the exception of the wildlife, the distant call of the trains. These are dry sites without electricity, sewer hookups or dump. Potable water is available. It directly borders over 890 acres of land owned by inland paper company that can be utilized for hiking. Campsites are surrounded by forested area allowing campers to submerge into a peaceful nature setting and there is plenty of privacy between each camp site. Wildlife like deer, turkeys, and an occasional moose are common. One can walk through the woods or just sit and listen to nature all around. You will find many lakes just a short distance away. Coeur d'Alene is 16 miles away. Sandpoint is about 55 minutes away. Silverwood Theme Park is about 40 minutes. There is lots to do here from fishing and hunting to boating and skiing.
