Well it’s here. I’m Located in Wakefield Virginia. If you’re traveling to Virginia Beach I’m one hour away. From my farm there is a free ferry in Scotland where the ferry departs to Williamsburg just 30 minutes. At my farm I have 5 sites for tent/camping so it’s spaced appropriately apart I have 2 Rv sites totally away for their privacy and a new mini house also properly spaced away. All have a clean picnic table and a fire pit. 100 feet away you’ll find that clean bathroom, shower and a wash station for hygiene. You’ll see the love I put into this and because I love it and my prior guests love it, which means it may be right for you also. In the town of Wakefield you’ll find gas stations, dollar stores, a Value food market and if you want (to go) food we have that also. Plus it’s home to The Virginia Diner. Amenities include toilet access, a shower, trash disposal, picnic tables, and potable water. Pets are allowed, as are campfires.

Transient visitors can expect a peaceful, relaxing stay on the eastern branch of the Elizabeth River. We are centrally located in the heart of Hampton Roads within a 15-30 minute drive to Virginia Beach Ocean Front, ODU, NSU, ORF airport, all Navy bases, and Waterside District. This cozy RV campsite was previously used to store our Airstream as a spare guest house which we no longer own. It comes with sewer hookup, city water, 30 amp outlet. Guests have full access to use the private concrete boat ramp to launch a canoe/kayak for a quiet cruise on the river, or use the private fire pit sitting area. Pets are OK!

No tents or hybrid campers with fabric sides of any sort are permitted in the resort. We are walking distance to the beach. There's a boat slip, pickle ball courts, two pools. Everything is clean and well maintained. This is a quiet gated resort in the obx of Va. The sandbridge fishing peir is a block away and back bay wildlife refugee is a half mile down the road. Dogs are allowed on leash only. If your dogs off the leash...you will be asked to leave with no refund.

What a great spot with a beautiful view! Rod was there to give us the lay of the land when he arrived- he was friendly and easy going. Though it’s not “private”, we felt unbothered by the coming and going at the dock. We were able to relax and look forward to another stay soon!

I was having trouble finding a campground in the area, then I remembered to check Hipcamp—and I struck gold. I found Kyle’s RV spot, located in a quiet residential neighborhood with plenty of space and great accommodations. It has a private entry and exit, and it’s conveniently close to shopping and the freeway. Kyle was extremely helpful and a great host. A+ experience—definitely check him out. I’ll absolutely be back.

My wife and I loved our stay. The host was very hospitable and very accommodating. We were greeted immediately upon arrival and shown a well detailed tour of the property. The property was very well maintained and visually appealing. We were provided a wheel barrel full of fire logs and use of wheel rim for a camp fire (10$ when booked). The views for sunset and sunrise were stunning. We had total peace and quiet during our stay. We will be back in the spring to try our hand at fishing off the dock. Perfection.

Susan was quick to respond for confirming the booking. This was my second stay at Peace Hill and I had a wonderful time. I stayed at Site 3 and it is very flat and close to the Lafayette Hall where there are bathrooms with showers and a kitchen. The site faces the owners main house and horse ring. If you want more privacy, pick the sites on the other side of the Lafayette Hall. I loved walking the property and visiting the farm animals!

Peace Hill is a beautiful working farm which provided plenty of level space to camp. There is plenty of room to load and unload tow vehicles. The generous permission to use the community center kitchen and bath were outstanding perks. For bicycle enthusiasts, its proximity to the Capital Bike Trail Charles City Parking area was a bonus. For tourists, it is close to Jamestown and Williamsburg. I loved watching the exercising of the horses. The friendly waves of those feeding the farm animals made me feel welcome. Susan was very accommodating when I had to leave early due to snow. I will definitely revisit this site when in the area.
FYI: I found it best to put Peace Hill Fellowship in when goggling directions so I wouldn't end up at the Bed & Breakfast.

Do yourself a favor and book this site! We loved every moment of our stay on Rod’s ‘oasis’.
The views were stunning, the atmosphere was incredibly peaceful, and we even got to leave with some fresh blue crabs from the local
watermen - such a cool experience. Rod was wonderfully welcoming and knowledgeable about the area, and we learned some fascinating facts about the local culture. Thank you, Rod, for an amazing stay!
