Peace and quiet equals “Solitude at my farm. I’m just like you. I want to camp at a quiet place in the country where it’s plenty of acres and no houses to look at and a clean bathroom and shower. Well it’s here. I’m Located in Wakefield Virginia. If you’re traveling to Virginia Beach I’m one hour away. From my farm there is a free ferry in Scotland where the ferry departs to Williamsburg just 30 minutes. At my farm I have 5 sites for tent/camping so it’s spaced appropriately apart I have 2 Rv sites totally away for their privacy and a new mini house also properly spaced away. All have a clean picnic table and a fire pit. 100 feet away you’ll find that clean bathroom, shower and a wash station for hygiene. You’ll see the love I put into this and because I love it and my prior guests love it, which means it may be right for you also. In the town of Wakefield you’ll find gas stations, dollar stores, a Value food market and if you want (to go) food we have that also. Plus it’s home to The Virginia Diner. Amenities include toilet access, a shower, trash disposal, picnic tables, and potable water. Pets are allowed, as are campfires.

We had a great stay at Wildflower Meadow Camp. The campsite was peaceful, private, and surrounded by beautiful woods and open meadow, which made it feel like a real escape from everything. The fire pit was a great touch for the evenin,, and having the creek nearby added to the whole experience.
The site is definitely primitive, but that’s part of its charm. Everything felt simple, quiet, and connected to nature. We really enjoyed our time here and would happily stay again.

After a drive through the Norfolk traffic and high temperatures it was a pleasure to arrive at our shaded Peaceful Farm and Forrest Retreat campsite.
Once we positioned our pop-up camper on a very large level campsite we breathed a sigh of relief in a much cooler retreat. Hearing the chickens and wildlife each morning was a pleasure and a tranquil time for our breakfast and coffee treats. Our host greeted us warmly and made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. We will return to watch this farm grow and come into it's mature years.

I stayed at Camp Redfish, which is basically a shed, but it was awesome! It felt very private with amazing views. Tons of butterflies, beautiful birds, and a field of wild flowers. I very much enjoyed my weekend getaway here, and Evie + her family were beyond helpful with anything I needed. Great place, great people😊

I had the whole property to myself on the holiday weekend. Very quiet. Nice little shed tucked up against the woods. I stayed hunkered down most of my trip. It was raining/snowing, very peaceful. There are two picnic tables on site, plus a fire pit. The shed features an awning over its porch with two Adirondack chairs for your convenience. The site overlooks the field.
I used a Mr buddy heater inside the shed for the night. I really got some warmth going.
I recommend this site to anyone looking for some true SOLITUDE!
