The Milky Way, fireflies, and beauty surround you as well as the lack of noise and light pollution. Be prepared to be "experience how extraordinary the ordinary is!" Organic Certified veggies, herbs, medicinal s, and edible flowers are available, throughout the season. I have approximately 70 varieties foraged and planted. I am developing a garden of dyeing flowers, as well. Art classes and materials are available, for pottery [ beginner to advanced.] as well as sketching, fabric dyeing, plen air, or making mandalas. I do have leather tools, sewing machines, and stained glass. Bring your project or try a new one. Lots of space in the common barn area for group lesson, or set up a spot and enjoy all by yourself! Cabot has lots to offer for day trips, be it water sports, rail trail on bikes or walking, music, and cultural events, or purchasing fresh milk, beef, eggs, apples, cheese, or homemade breads, all from Cabot. Contra Dance, music from Cabot Arts, or at the Den our local pub, are 2 miles away. The Bread and Puppet, Highland Center for the Arts, Barre Oprah house, art galleries, etc within an hour drive in any direction. A great place for children, I have swings and trees to climb, games, archaeological digs, scavenger hunts finding 10 different antique farm implements, and learning how they were used, to learning about mini microbe's and how to be friends with pollinators. Massage including scar release, and MPS, Cranial Release, energy work with tuning forks and singing bowls are available. Singing bowl concert in the gardens can also happen! Expect the unexpected! Rustic, off-grid, tiny cabin on small farm. This 12x16 tiny cabin, sleeps 4-5. Has queen, full, and twin size mattresses. Propane heater(Mr Heater 18,000btu) to stay warm on chilly winter days/nights. Linens are provided. Solar generator provided. Compost toilet(bucket/sawdust) in cabin. Fire pit, wood fired hot tub(open year round), outdoor shower(spring-fall). Outdoor kitchen setup with sink, charcoal grill and Coleman 2 burner propane stove. 3 gallons potable water available, 5 gallons water available for kitchen, 2 gallons available in bathroom. We also utilize all of our property for gardening, logging, tapping trees, bee keeping, milling, stacking and moving wood, etc., so you will probably see us during your stay. But no worries the cabin is comfortably private. There is no electricity at cabin. You should have phone reception but no wifi available. This area of Vermont has snow all winter, and mud in the spring. I do my best to keep the driveway clean and most of the time there are no issues but ideally you would want 4WD and snow tires. Weekend Trip to Rooted Acres Farm

We had such a lovely stay here! The host was incredibly responsive to all our questions, and the cabin was exactly what we were looking for. It came with a portable heater inside that kept us warm at night (just remember to turn on the gas outside first!). Without proper winter clothing, it might be a bit chilly to stay here during the colder months, but we went toward the end of October and it was still perfect! And the hot tub!! Such a clever and wonderful addition! Just a heads up: you’ll need to build a strong fire to get it hot within about 3 hours, and you’ll likely want to make two fires - one for the tub and another to sit back and enjoy. Be sure to bring lanterns, as it gets dark pretty quickly once the sun sets. Even though we had cloudy skies, we could tell that on a clear night the stargazing would be incredible. The cabin is well-equipped with dishes and running water for light cooking, brushing teeth, etc. There’s also a small convenience store about 8 minutes away on the main road. Overall, we would highly recommend this place. We had a fantastic time and will definitely be returning!

I love staying at Fernando's cabin with my dog. They had everything I needed and nothing I didn't. The hot tub in the sauna were a real bonus. Loana and Ben were not in the least bit intrusive, but we're quick to respond when I had a question. Their sweet lab Simon greeted us as we were leaving. Would definitely return.

My siblings and I are obsessed with this place! It was larger than we expected, the kitchen is spacious, and the property's amenities (hot tub, disc golf, sauna, pond, etc.) were total treats! We appreciate the rustic charm and thought put into the fisherman-themed design. The outdoor shower and bath are a bit public (but maybe you're into that!).

I had an amazing stay at Abbotts naturist site and hope to return again soon. The Vermont area is so beautiful and I stayed at Abbotts while exploring many nature and hiking trails throughout the day. The screened gazebo made for the perfect bug free and comfortable eating area and shelter on a rainy day. My favorite part became the short trail to the rocky river, it was a peaceful private oasis for rest and as I got adjusted to the cool water, took many dips. Thank you!

The hosts have done such an amazing job creating a little slice of heaven at a reasonable price! My 7 year old daughter and I loved this place so much! And the hosts are incredible people with such a great energy and way of life! Everything needed was available on site. The shower was amazing! The wood fired tub is impressive! Some of the cabins are closer together, but didn't feel it impacted our privacy, we definitely felt like the only two in the world while we were there. The walking trail isn't long but it's very pretty, as is the pond. It was just what we needed, highly recommended. We can't wait to come back and check out the other cabins!

This place was lovely. Exactly what I expected from a place on HipCamp. The photos are accurate and Loana was easy to communicate with. We literally saw no one, and it’s a short distance to a grocery store if you need it, and many amazing hikes. If you love cooking like we do, make sure you bring the essentials, but the gas stove was awesome and there was plenty of fridge space (bring ice if you need it!) Would 100 percent stay again.

I very much enjoyed my camping experience at Rooted Acres Farm. Jerry was a wonderful host. He has created an amazing space there. Everything is as depicted. Some real engineering has gone into the off-grid cabin design. Things have been quite thoughtfully laid out. The cowboy hot tub is a real treat. It takes some time to get it up to a good temp but once it's there it stays hot for hours. You just have to be careful not to let it get too hot for your personal comfort.
