A Swell Oasis in the desert of the San Rafael Swell: Swell Retreat. A pine tree farm was active prior to us purchasing the land, so lots of beautiful trees. A couple ponds stocked with large mouth bass. Zipline, WIBIT, water slide, etc. A field of hay, and continued improvements to make it into a Swell Retreat!!! We are a great spot to stay and have onsite a zip line into Lake Elevate, water slide into the pond, adventure island, zipline, kayaking, paddle boarding, catch and release fishing, and close to all fun in the San Rafael Swell. 20 min or so from three reservoirs for additional fishing, swimming and motor boating, 30 minutes from the Little Grand Canyon for breathtaking views, hiking and mountain biking, petroglyphs and the San Rafael Swell river to float on, 60 minutes from Goblin Valley, within 60 minutes to multiple slot canyons: Little Wild Horse Canyon, Muddy Creek, The Chute (similar to Zion National Park), Baptist Draw, to name a few. Easy access to campsite on a 15 acre farm. Campsite is close to owners home with access to lawn for tents. The beautiful sounds of birds can be heard nestlings in the trees. If you are lucky you may experience the smell of fresh cut hay and indulge in the fresh home grown fruit in the fall that owners will share with you. Always relaxing to see the gorgeous sunsets as you sit by a fire or just relax in the great outdoors. Access is easy via paved county road. A picnic table is yours to use while sitting in the shade of trees. The campsite is a single campsite but large enough for trucks with trailers or motorhomes.. The site is close to the many piute trail atv trails in the area and other off road access. Many beautiful mountain drives both paved and unpaved are nearby. The site has wifi, electricity and well water, We just added a doggie run should you need one

Weekend Trip to Capitol Reef RV Park and Glamping

Stayed in #60, an A-framed structure about 200sq/ft with electricity, AC, heat, and windows that view the sky. Site has a picnic table, fire pit, and chairs around the fire. Very comfortable bedding. Beautiful and quiet grounds. Well maintained. Bathrooms and showers are a 10/10. Justin at the store/clubhouse is top notch and a great host with great recommendations to local hikes and restaurants. There is also a cool dog park area that is fenced in and has some fun obstacles for them. All in all this place is awesome and we cannot wait to come back.

The A-Frame tent, and campgrounds in general, were pristine: clean, nicely appointed, and surrounded by stunning mountain views. We can't recommend this campground highly enough--a much welcomed newcomer to the Capitol Reef area!

This site is located an a lovely farm and as it has only one site, you have complete privacy. The host was a very friendly gentleman who welcomed me on arrival and checked again on me in the morning but otherwise left me to enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Although the water was turned off for the season, I did have electricity. I would definitely stay here again.

The view was beautiful, although it was super windy and raining I still enjoyed it! It was somewhat hard to find- the written directions were not accurate but once we just drove we found it! Beautiful views but around the sites it seemed like a lot of random stuff!

What a lovely place to stay! My sister and I brought our two very young kids and they LOVED all the animals and the open space to run around and play. Such beautiful views and easily accessible to hikes and so much more beauty! The kitchenette and bathrooms were well maintained and so appreciated. We were also grateful for the heater that kept us cozy during chilly nights. Highly recommend!

What an absolutely beautiful stay!! The cabin itself is so comfortable and clean! The restrooms are a short walk away and there are 10 full private bathrooms with shower, sink and toilet. The store offers snacks and souvenirs as well as ice and firewood. The star gazing here is a AMAZING!!

The tent was spacious, bed was comfortable, and the views at any time of day or night were just perfect. We really appreciated the cleanliness of the the bathrooms and kitchenette, too! We had a great time! Lacy was very responsive and helpful at every step of the way. There were plenty of picnic tables, camp stoves, strong lights and a canopy on-site which made a group camping trip a delightful breeze. We enjoyed kayaking and playing in the pond and wish we had booked 2 nights instead of 1! We will definitely book again.

My stay at Wildland Garden, was absolutely perfect! The tents were spacious, beautifully decorated, and offered the perfect balance of comfort and adventure. Waking up to stunning mountain views and crisp, fresh air made my stay unforgettable. Carrie Ann went above and beyond to make sure everything was spotless and well-stocked, from cozy bedding to little touches like lanterns and firewood. The location is peaceful and private but still close enough to explore nearby trails and scenic spots. I can’t recommend this place enough – the ideal getaway for anyone wanting a unique and luxurious outdoor experience!

Peaceful spot, nestled in the Utah countryside on a private ranch. Just close enough to do a day trip to Capitol Reef. Water & Electric (50/30amp). Our 38’ travel trailer & Ford F250 (8’ bed) was a bit challenging in legth, but we managed to find a good way to park in the designated horseshoe spot. We would recommend this spot to anyone looking for some peace & quiet in the countryside. Wonderful hosts. Jerry & Bella made our stay memorable.
