Located in a private gated area on the shores of Kolob Reservoir, Kolob Campground is the premiere location for camping on Kolob Mountain
in the Greater Zion National Park area.
Kolob Campground is located adjacent to the Kolob Reservoir boat ramp and dock, including four acres of private shoreline. Just a few feet from the paved road, nestled in tall aspen, oak,
and pine trees.
Access to potable water is available adjacent to camp, and public restrooms (vault toilets) are only a short walk from camp.
WiFi access is available nearby at Kolob Adventure Rentals/Adventure Beach (3 minute walk). WiFi location and password provided by host upon request. This is an exclusive benefit available to our guests, and the only WiFi available to campers in the area.
Canoe, kayak and SUP
rentals, snacks and beverages are also located nearby.
LP(propane) fires are allowed and LP fire bowls
can be provided through the camp host. LP fuel is also available for purchase. Wood burning, charcoal, and smoking currently not allowed due to area restriction.

Loved the location as it was convenient to access the West Rim Trail along with a couple others nearby . View of the lake was beautiful and the campsite itself wasn't busy during my time of visit . Beautiful time to go see Zion . Owner was very informative as well . Amazing trip to say the least !

We LOVED the drive up to the reservoir and the sunset was absolutely amazing. It’s a no frills campground, but gives you good access to some lesser known trail heads.
The bathrooms were not great :(

Kolob is always beautiful! It was also my friends’ first time visiting, and they absolutely loved it. A few things though ; we weren’t informed ahead of time that the General Store was closed, so we had to drive back to town (about 45 minutes each way) to grab some last-minute essentials. Unfortunately, we had to go home a day early because there was construction right in front of our campsite, which really ruined the whole camping experience.
On the bright side, I have AT&T and surprisingly had signal, so I was able to call and update my family.

The campsite was great! The instructions to get there were great, and the campsite was clean and well taken care of. Watch out for tree stumps if you’re sleeping in a tent for site 17, but other than that it was great!

Kolob was a wonderful getaway for my birthday! Was trying to find a campsite close to Zion (that wasnt already booked out) and Kolob had a lot of availability! It was everything I was looking for in the sense of no light polution and getting off the grid, while also maintaining a great level of accomodation and safety! The stars were absolutely stunning! The campground was large and not as much rocks/uneven grounding for the tent. Only downside was the paddleboard/kayak rental was off season, and it would have been so fun but that just means we have to go back in the Summer!

The location of this campground (especially in fall when we went) is beautiful. The sites have a nice amount of privacy between them and are very comfortable. John came around to say hi and check in when we first arrived and was fabulous. Highly recommend staying here - it was our favorite of three campgrounds during our trip!

Beautiful campground and vast lake right next to the site. Absolutely stunning during fall season and area is very secluded. Would recommend if you enjoy a little more privacy and less noise. Pack layers if you’re planning to visit outside of summer. Gets chilly at night.

Kolob Reservoir is absolutely stunning — such a beautiful and peaceful place to camp. The site itself was amazing, and I definitely plan on coming back. The only downside was that communication wasn’t great. I reached out the night before our trip with a few questions and didn’t hear back until late Saturday at 11pm,and our trip ended Sunday morning. I ended up having to ask the Kolob Reservoir host for help instead. That part was frustrating, but otherwise it was an amazing experience, and I’m excited to return.

I really enjoyed this campsite! It was quite clean and in a beautiful area. There’s lots of little trails to explore and walk around as well as of course as the reservoir which was right down the hill from the campsite. There was a porta potty as well as a public restroom maybe a minute or twos walk from the campsite. The road to get to the campsite also has beautiful views of Zion park.
Disclaimer: there is no WiFi! The rental store is closed for the season so there was no WiFi and there was no kolob campground WiFi available. No biggie but I would recommend screenshotting a map

If you want somewhere remote and a bit rugged, this place is a good option. Beautiful drive in, leaves were changing in mid September. Beautiful views. We were in site 4. With our Expedition EL and 18 foot trailer, it was kinda tight backing in, but the site itself was a good size. Dirt road was a bit rough, but the whole route is paved until you get there. It rained a lot, which made everything muddy.

My fiancé and I loved our experience here at this property and campsite. The views upon the drive were breathtaking and once you get up to the campsite it’s so beautiful and spacious. We got to bring our dog and just have a getaway from the city. The fire and the stars were my favorite part.

This was our first time using hipcamp and it exceeded our expectation. Our campsite was in a fantastic location and provided great views. Loved how well maintained all the sites were. Other campers were having fun but also respectful of their neighbors. Felt safe and well taken care of by the host, John. He answered all my questions prior to booking the campsite as well as those before we arrived. He even reached out during our stay to make sure we knew how to contact him if anything was needed.

This camping site is unbelievable. Next to the gorgeous Kolob reservoir, the surrounding mountains and trees. If you really want to be away from noise ... you need to drive up there you will not regret it. Thanks to a family I met from across my tent I went to the lava point overlook.Danny recommended it and What a beautiful place this is ,you must go there if you visit Kolob reservoir. Would not recommend it going on to the overlook during rainy season, because of road conditions at certain points.The host was nice and welcoming, the place was also very clean. Some Wi-Fi available but don't expect to get the best downloads or anything like that 🤣🤣🤣.
