We bought the property in 2014 and did upgrades on weekends, love the views, fishing, campfires, and meeting people so we opened the first cabin in April of 2018, now have 5 cabins and 9 rv sites and welcome you to enjoy the lake as much as we do. Every season of the year is a little different and all are wonderful! We are in nature, and across street from wetlands, yet only 2 miles from city grocery store and restaurants! There are 3 piers, fishing, picnicking, beautiful sunsets, nature watching, small watercraft rentals, guide paid pontoon tours, swimming, bonfires, bbq’s with firewood available on site for purchase if desired. Use for short term rental retreats, or long term.

Of course what is missing is the Thai fresh food markets that are very common in Thailand. This place was perfect. Nice and quiet, the hist had just tge ight balance of being welcoming amd courteous while giving us privacy. The grounds are well kept, and the pool was amazing. I'm honestly torn between wanting to tell everyone about how great it was, and keeping it a secret.

Me and my family had a great time at the property, we rented out the boats very user friendly didn’t catch any big fish in the lake but we didn’t go far either. AC was working very well the owner was very helpful and very approachable. Had an awesome time!

1 night at Happy Hippo Hilltop

Great place to stay. Myself, my two daughters (and pup) really enjoyed this quite peaceful campsite. Property owners happened to be camping on the 2nd site and where very helpful and informative. Will stay here again!
