Fantastic family time
Beautiful setup! The site is well setup for families looking for a nice balance between a “traditional”tent-camping experience and “glamping”. Private and serene, this location has a nice sized pond with plenty of fish to target, a range of possible tent locations, and a covered deck with an amazing amount of space for lounging, and a surprising amount of cooking and grilling equipment (smoker, gas BBQ, fajita table, searing surface, gas burners, and a large hibachi-like grilling surface). Had an amazing 4 days there - thanks to the owners Robin and Steve!

This is our new fav place to camp! It has it all. We spent 3 amazing nights and 2.5 days enjoying all the amenities. Even with the rain off and on each day it was the perfect getaway for us and our 3 girls. The hosts are exceptional and we can’t wait to return soon!!!!

I just returned for a repeat visit to The Honey Hole. It’s a special place. The amazing outdoor pavilion and kitchen...they keep making it better! The pond is always like glass. Wildlife abounds.

The Honey Hole
We had an excellent time! The hosts were welcoming and friendly - very responsive and helpful when needed. The property was the perfect mix of “roughing it” and “comfortable accommodation”. The covered outdoor kitchen made meals easy and provided cover from the few passing rain storms we encountered. The pond and surrounding woods are beautiful...the nature trail made for a great adventure for the young kids. It was too cold for us for swimming but the boats and fishing made for wonderful entertainment. Our 5 and 7 year old kids said it was the best trip they have ever been on! We have every intention of going back. Thanks for adventure!

Beautiful piece of land
The Honey Hole is simply amazing! The area is very nice, clean and peaceful. The lake is beautiful, with clear water and plenty of fish. Robin was very attentive and made sure all of our questions were answered. Chairs, fire pit, BBQ, gas stove and kitchen utensils were available. Great place for a family getaway. We will be coming back, for sure!

Peaceful
The Honey Whole is amazing. My stay here has been one of the best camping trips I’ve been on. Peaceful and beautiful sums up this property. There’s a great breeze that comes off of the water pretty much all day and in the evening keeping you cool. The deck on the water and the covered outdoor cooking space make the main area a great gathering spot. The owners are wonderful people and have been extremely accommodating. I’ll be back to stay again.

Amazing escape!
This site was gorgeous, well maintained, had excellent amenities, and welcoming hosts. My friends and I would definitely recommend this place and visit again. Robin was helpful and answered all of our questions and when we had an issue with some loud guest staying at the other sites, she kindly asked them to quiet down. We would recommend if you have a bigger group to reserve all 3 sites. The pond, trail, and campsite were perfect. Overall amazing site!

Halloween 2020
We stayed here at the end of October and the weather was perfect. A little too cold for swimming in the lake, but it was a nice spot to relax in the shade. The only mark against it is that they don't have running water, but there was plenty of water available. Also, they are digging a well soon, so they get 5 stars.

Great, relaxing weekend destination
We had such an amazing time at the Honey Hole. Our hosts were welcoming and friendly and made us feel right at home. Great conversation too.The outdoor kitchen was better than expected. We cooked our burgers and fajitas on the large flattop and both meals turned out excellent. There is a mini fridge as well as insulated “cubbies” for your coolers. There was a neat little walking path on their large property that was great for the pups. Trees shaded the entire property, but there is plenty of sun right off the lake. The fire pit was huge! Super comfy, but we also brought our own pit which was not an issue because the site was spacious. We had site 1 and it was perfect. Our dogs barked at everyone who dared approach the camp kitchen though, so if yours are like mine—request site 3! The outhouse was well stocked and lit. Plenty of amenities (outlets!!) and we will definitely be back. Thank you!!!

Peaceful and serene weekend away
This site was picturesque. The camp areas were clear for pitching tent and lots of trees for hanging a hammock. The lake was stunning and my dog loved running along the edge (too much of a sissy to jump in). It’s a beautiful weekend getaway outside of Houston

We loved staying at The Honey Hole! Robin and her husband were very welcoming and accommodating. We stayed at Campsite 3, which feels like you are in your own little wonderland. The outdoor kitchen was a huge draw to this campsite, and it didn't disappoint!

Best Long Weekend Ever!
We absolutely loved our long weekend here! Our friends and I had so much fun having nerf gun wars, boating, swimming, hiking and cooking on that amazing outdoor kitchen! Not only were Robin & Steve super accommodating but they went above and beyond to make sure our stay was special! We will absolutely be back soon :)

Best vacation ever!
The Honey Hole was more than we imagined! It’s beautiful, serene, and was a perfect trip with my kids! They loved the boats, and fishing and I especially enjoyed the kitchen and the amazing hosts. They were very welcoming and kind. Already planning another trip here!

The Honey Hole was beautiful. We enjoyed our stay. Had access to pedal boats & a large float at the center of The Honey Hole. Hosts were amazing & would stay again. Family friendly. A little more than an hour outside of Houston.

Primitive indeed!
It was indeed a Primitive camping!
Hosts are very much welcoming, respectful, accommodating and nice.
The scenic view is picturesque.
They only allow 3 camp sites so it is not crowded.
Toilet is pit privy but I was informed earlier and I am fine with it. Although to have a water-sealed toilet is much preferred.
There are pedal-boats and a good for four-persons boat. Also, it has an air-pumped floater at the center of the mini lake/pond. Although Algae grew at the sides of the lake/pond.
Fishing is allowed for free but we did not bring fishing stuff.
There is no shower room. it is under constraction

We had the whole place for ourselves and it was relaxing. Plenty of amenities so we didn’t have to use some of our camping stuff which gave us more time to have fun and relax. Enjoyed it very much.

Robin is the sweetest ever!! She opens her property up for families to go enjoy the water and some peace and quiet with hesitation. Her property is my exact dream of what i want in my backyard. Will definitely be back!!!

Peaceful, easy and beautiful!
What a wonderful place!! My husband and I could not believe we found the perfect place to relax, camp, swim and explore!!
They have the perfect setup, with private camping area, a outdoor kitchen we can use and no one around. The owners stayed in their house and visited occasionally to make sure we had what we needed.
