My family and I loved camping at Lake Godstone. It was clean, well kept, just as advertised. The property is beautiful and great for stargazing. The cabins/ amenities were very well kept and comfortable. We felt safe and secluded out there. We will definitely be going back.

5 nights at Little Off Lake House
This was a perfect get-away for a week from the city. It was quiet, peaceful, both the land and the house were top tier. I also loved how private it was, being tucked away from any main roads.

If you’re looking for a relaxing and peaceful getaway then this is the perfect place. It seemed like we were the only ones there as the properties are far from each other.
The dock is great for fishing! Our boys loved to jump off the diving board to cool off.
This house is great as it’s fully equipped that you can pack just the necessities.
We got to see donkeys, long horn and deer. It was a fun little getaway.
Definitely a repeat trip.

Little off Lake House was a sweet spot to get away for a couple of days with our sons. We were tucked away and had just about one of the best views a person could want and need to rest their minds for a bit. The fishing was fun, they're plentiful, and Kellie providing the option adding on the barge topped it off. We played ping pong, watched movies and enjoyed the deck. The house was clean, mowed around and the AC works great. I would definitely recommend this place to unwind Thank y'all to Kellie and family for sharing with us :).

Everything was perfect! Clear directions, simple check-in, beautiful location, so many activities within walking distance. We stayed at the Magical Treehouse for the 4th of July and had a great time hiking, swimming at the river, and grilling on the covered patio.

I only stayed one night, but it was such a peaceful and relaxing experience! The owners are onsite, friendly, very helpful and responsive to any questions I had before and during my stay. The location was easy to find in the daylight (I arrived mid afternoon), and everything was just as described. GPS gets you to the right spot but note it will be very dark at night as there are no street lamps which makes for amazing night sky/star gazing.
I had my Great Dane with me and the other dogs onsite came to meet him and they all got along well.
I stayed in the smaller camper, and it was cozy, clean, and comfortable—the bed was great, and I slept really well. The A/C worked perfectly, which was a lifesaver in the Texas heat. There’s a small deck with an awning for shade, and a shared grill if you want to cook outside. I brought most of my own supplies, so I didn’t use the kitchen gear, but everything you’d need seemed to be there. Fridge and freezer worked well.
The camper is located close to the horse barn, which was a bonus—I enjoyed walking around and even got to meet the horses. There are also shared bathroom facilities in the barn if you prefer a regular shower over the RV setup.
It’s a perfect spot for a peaceful getaway, especially if you love animals and want a quiet, rural escape. It’s a good location to explore Mineral Welsl, Granbury and Weatherford areas. I’d definitely stay again!

I stayed in the summer of 2023 and this visit the lake level was much higher. Me, my son, one of his friends, and his friend's dad went. We had a fun guys weekend with plenty of fishing. Like before, the place was clean, the A/C worked well, and we all look forward to visiting again.

If you are looking for a place to disconnect, that has a beautiful view and just a peaceful place to enjoy family time! This is the perfect place. Waking up to this view and the sound of birds and some cute cows and deers, it's was just truly amazing! Our youth group really enjoyed it. They got to experience God presence in a very special way🙌🏻🤍🏕 We definitely would love to come back🙏🏻

What an awesome spot. We had a great time relaxing and unplugging at this cabin. My kids enjoyed fishing and swimming since the lake was high. Made good use of the diving board! We will definitely be back. Kellie was a great host. Made sure we had all we needed and even brought a pole set up for catfish for our kids to try out. They landed a 15lb catfish on his rod. Great memories!

We loved our time here! The property is beautiful and exactly as what is advertised. My 11yr old had a blast fishing, jumping on the trampoline and seeing the longhorns and donkeys. It was very relaxing for us adults. Kellie is very responsive and we had everything we needed plus some. We will definitely come back again.

2 nights at Country Woods Inn
The Santa Fe car is at the edge of a meadow and some woods, with a cluster of other accommodations ranging from campsites, airstreams and a cabin where a hostess cat lives who greets all the guests. She came knocking on our door and stayed with us, to our delight, throughout our stay. And there is no extra charge for vacation kitty!
The train car is cleverly outfitted with all the comforts and everything you need for them: cooking pots and utensils, dinnerware, wine glasses and corkscrew. The hot water is steaming. The small refrigerator was plenty big enough for us and has a freezer shelf with two mini cube ice trays, but for larger groups consider bringing in some ice with you.
The bunk beds are as steady as trees and so roomy under the canopy that only the very tall might have to bend to clear it. For us, it was like a small room. The mattresses are both soft and supportive. A town vendor said the car had been outfitted and adorned for the owner’s grandchildren, and we certainly benefitted from the thoughtfulness, playfulness and considerations that have been lovingly put into it. A small jar is offered for collecting fireflies darting outside. We gladly unplugged with no WiFi or tv signal there, when there were so many books, games and dvds for entertainment. Instead though we opted for star watching, deer spotting, and loving on the petting animals at the main hub. We plan to return often for the rest and rejuvenation we found easily in the woods by the river

This was my 5th or 6th trip out to the cabin and I plan on returning many times. John is a great host, the lake is really nice with great fishing and swimming, cabin is very stout with good options for cooking and there is also great BBQ nearby in Stephenville. Now, it is rustic and a little wild. If you are scared of spiders or the occasional watersnake, maybe it's not for you but you're missing out! Made lots of great memories out here, highly recommend.
