In the early 1900’s an iconic red barn was built near the hilltop along the road between the old Mt. Zion community and Collinsville. Later in the 1900’s, the land was mostly abandoned by its owners, but not by the local fishermen! They knew its woodland fishing pond never dried up, and so was able to support a better population of fish. They also dumped a cornucopia of old motorcycles, cars and farm equipment in the front field. What else were you supposed to do with scrap metal in North Texas horse country?
In 2002 the Holtzman family purchased the 35 acre tract of land. They dug a front pond for swimming and paddling, buried the scrap metal (although occasional bits of history still work their way up!), restored and brought horses back to the barn, and began consulting with local biologists about supporting native wildlife.
April Holtzman launched Camp Tonkawa Outdoor Learning Center on the property to provide a beautiful, safe place for families to explore and learn about nature. Camp Tonkawa continues to host overnight and day camps with educational programing organized around various themes including: Native American culture, nature awareness, basic camping skills, primitive survival, organic gardening, herbology, outdoor cooking, western days, and horsemanship. We also host field trips and frequently conduct Girl Scout journeys for all levels in the "It's Your Planet, Love it!" series.
Due to Covid-19, which limited working with groups for our educational programing, we joined Hip Camp where families who could isolate in nature together on our property.

We offer Kayaking on the property for a fee. We have a beautiful Hammock Garden free for guests to kick back and relax. Texoma Water Taxi is a text away to give guests a ride anywhere on the lake including restaurants. Rock-N A Ranch is roughly 20 minutes away and offers horseback riding.
The Cabins and Campsites are within walking distance from each other but far enough away to create that illusion of privacy. We do have a neighborhood close by but you can’t see or hear them due to the woods.
In my travels, I try to bring back something I’ve seen or learned to help improve the guest experience and environment. You’ll notice little touches of Asia, Mexico, and even Hill Country Texas! We pride ourselves on our excellent customer service and treat every guest like family.
We’re always a text away! You’ll see us out and about on our golf carts. If you ever need anything just holler (:

One of the special features of the main house is a charming atrium inside, where you’ll find a beautiful tree, a relaxing fountain, and some tables perfect for sitting down in the morning to enjoy a peaceful cup of coffee surrounded by nature.
Main House Layout: First Floor: There are two bedrooms with king-sized beds. One of these rooms also has a sofa bed. There's also a TV room with another sofa bed. Additionally, two folding beds are available on this floor.
Second Floor: There is one bedroom with a queen-sized bed and a pop-up trundle bed (equivalent to two full-size beds). In the living room, there's another sofa bed.
The house is set up to comfortably accommodate three couples, each with two children. There’s a gas barbecue grill and outdoor dining tables — perfect for a small family celebration or a quiet evening meal. Some of the most cherished moments at Infinity Paradise happen at night — sitting outside on the deck in the lakeside kiosk (kioske del lago), watching the stars light up the sky or enjoying the glow of a full moon reflected on the water. And in the early morning, nothing beats a peaceful walk while listening to the birds sing — a perfect way to start the day. We're located just outside the city limits, only 15 minutes from Walmart and other conveniences, so you're never far from anything you might need.

We offer Kayaking on the property for a fee. We have a beautiful Hammock Garden free for guests to kick back and relax. Texoma Water Taxi is a text away to give guests a ride anywhere on the lake including restaurants. Rock-N A Ranch is roughly 20 minutes away and offers horseback riding.
The Cabins and Campsites are within walking distance from each other but far enough away to create that illusion of privacy. We do have a neighborhood close by but you can’t see or hear them due to the woods.
In my travels, I try to bring back something I’ve seen or learned to help improve the guest experience and environment. You’ll notice little touches of Asia, Mexico, and even Hill Country Texas! We pride ourselves on our excellent customer service and treat every guest like family.

One of the special features of the main house is a charming atrium inside, where you’ll find a beautiful tree, a relaxing fountain, and some tables perfect for sitting down in the morning to enjoy a peaceful cup of coffee surrounded by nature.
Main House Layout: First Floor: There are two bedrooms with king-sized beds. One of these rooms also has a sofa bed. There's also a TV room with another sofa bed. Additionally, two folding beds are available on this floor.
Second Floor: There is one bedroom with a queen-sized bed and a pop-up trundle bed (equivalent to two full-size beds). In the living room, there's another sofa bed.
The house is set up to comfortably accommodate three couples, each with two children. There’s a gas barbecue grill and outdoor dining tables — perfect for a small family celebration or a quiet evening meal. Some of the most cherished moments at Infinity Paradise happen at night — sitting outside on the deck in the lakeside kiosk (kioske del lago), watching the stars light up the sky or enjoying the glow of a full moon reflected on the water. And in the early morning, nothing beats a peaceful walk while listening to the birds sing — a perfect way to start the day. Jeffrey’s place was amazing, we brought our two dogs and loved that they could explore without us having to worry about where they were because the whole area is fenced in. We fished for about 30 minutes and caught two fish each (catch and release), saw a lot of different birds, and had a wonderful campfire. The tent is huge and well equipped with everything you could imagine needing and more. The heater warmed up the tent quickly and the fridge was cold. We also ordered the charcuterie board which was AMAZING and well worth it. I highly recommend it.

We had an amazing time during a wintery getaway during an ice/snow storm this past weekend. We had the entire cabin area to ourselves (yes I was told 100x by friends we were crazy to go to Texoma for a snow storm) and our Kabana 9 could not have been cuter. Everything you need and nothing you don’t. Staff did a fantastic job making sure we had extra blankets to stay warm and jugs of water. The hosts even came by to see how we were doing on Day 2. Was a gorgeous location before and after the snow. The bathrooms were amazing and clean. We are sold and will be back again in the warmer spring weather.

melissa’s spot is super cute and comfy, and she and family were very gracious and accommodating hosts despite us arriving late on xmas eve. we (2 people and an elderly dog) had everything we needed for some good rest, a campfire, and grilling a delicious dinner. melissa also had plenty of useful local tips, and WOW the breakfast sandwich was so good! would stay again 🤗

We loved our stay, it was so fun! Well stocked cabin, we loved staying warm with the wood stove. We’re so glad there was plenty of fire wood ready for us to use. It’s our first time to go camping w my son and discovered this serene and lovely cabin. Just fire up the generator and everything will light up for you and water overflows! I love the bed and the blankets, the books (esp ‘The Living on the Rugged edge’ by Charles Swindoll); small items like the mobile phone reset pin is there! Twas a really good rest w nature plus fishing time too. This is my dream cabin in the future. Well, overall we would like to recommend this for a good bonding time w your son. We had a fabulous time at the cabin! It was a beautiful lake and a very comfortable sleeping arrangement as well as plenty of firewood. I wish the grill would have worked or had propane in it but other than that everything was dandy! Thank you Serapio!!
