Property is on the farm where I grew up about 9 miles northeast of Glen Rose off of Highway 67. It has various trees on property with cedar, live oak, post oak, etc. Campsites are in front of a wide waterfall which is about 5 feet in height. You can fall asleep with the sound of the waterfalls! We have three ground tent sites and two 14 by 14 deck sites if you want to be up off the ground. Each site has a fire ring and electricity. There are well-marked trails across the creek which go to a meadow and a big treehouse I built several years ago. Glen Rose has several restaurants known for barbecue and Mexican food. Granbury is 25 minutes away with lots of shopping and restaurants around their historic town square. Glen Rose also has a town square.

Property is on the farm where I grew up about 9 miles northeast of Glen Rose off of Highway 67. It has various trees on property with cedar, live oak, post oak, etc. Campsites are in front of a wide waterfall which is about 5 feet in height. You can fall asleep with the sound of the waterfalls! We have three ground tent sites and two 14 by 14 deck sites if you want to be up off the ground. Each site has a fire ring and electricity. There are well-marked trails across the creek which go to a meadow and a big treehouse I built several years ago. Glen Rose has several restaurants known for barbecue and Mexican food. Granbury is 25 minutes away with lots of shopping and restaurants around their historic town square. Glen Rose also has a town square.

The entire grounds was a haven for us. My granddaughter & I came for the weekend and camped at site 4, which we loved! We hiked 1.6 miles and still didn’t get to explore all the trails. It was serene, quiet and I felt safe. We could hear cows, cocks & a train in the distance. The road to the campsites felt like you are going through a maze with the tall, bordered grass. We are so grateful that Allison has opened up her land to let us enjoy a wonderful getaway. We will be coming back for a treehouse stay in the spring, hopefully we’ll get a chance to paddleboat since it was filled with muddy water. That was what attracted me to the hideout with a little one. But our main reason for getting out to that area was to visit a state park which was full so this was the perfect & better place to stay. The bathhouse!!! Oh, the beautiful bathhouse! Even my 7 year old was fascinated by the visual elements… now I want one just like it!

A beautiful property with several camping spots, all seemingly 50 yards apart, so it felt very private, secluded, beautiful sunsets, and the Llamas were a fun thing to do for my son. There were add-on options at checkout for llama feed, smore and hot dog kits, which I felt were all very fairly priced. Check-in was easy and communication was great. Highly recommend!

I didn’t get the chance to meet Judy in person, but she was nothing but responsive and helpful! I only got the Day Pass so i could get a lay for the land and spend some time in nature, and even if I couldn’t stay for long, it was a wonderful and peaceful time. Definitely will be booking a campsite in the future (and buying some food for the llamas!) when the weather warms up a bit, cause I would love to come back and stay for the whole day. PS: the cat wandering the property was an absolute sweetheart. Didn’t expect to make a friend while I was there!

I was welcomed by friendly goats and lil pig. Since, it was a thanksgiving day - I only saw three people in the area. Our tent was superb! Perfect spot for our camping but unfortunately we have to leave after 3 hours of stay coz my son has an anxiety attack. He just got tired from our previous camp (this is actually our second spot). I believe we need to come back here again soon and explore the area. The communication w the host was great. All the instructions were given clearly and the suggested trail to explore. Really nice camping spots that's not too far from Fort Worth! We had such an amazing time the spot was perfect for stargazing and relaxing. There's not really any Internet service it was very spotty, but that's what makes it even better. It's nice to disconnect and enjoy the outdoors. The river is right at the camp spot easy access for kayak and paddle boards. Our dogs also loved this spot!
