Weekend Trip to Nauti Pelican

Property is nice,clean,and is situated in a well maintained área of Bolivar. Mike is very friedly and helpful. The fenced in yard was a true blessing. We had two couples and 2 separate campers, one pulled in the other backed in and there was amañe sauced to set up tables and cooking equipment in between. Highly recommend

1 night at Magnolia Gardens Park

It was a little confusing as there was no designated Campspot. Just a lot of picnic tables. So we parked near one and set up camp with our RV for the night. We loved how private it was and quiet it was. Now that I understand how it works. I would definitely go back again.

It’s fully covered, so you’re sheltered from the elements without sacrificing the outdoor experience. One of the highlights is the amazing deck with a picnic table and additional seating that gives you spectacular views of the surrounding area. The fenced-in yard is an absolute bonus, especially for dog owners—my pups had the freedom to run around off-leash, which made the stay even more enjoyable. The outdoor shower with both hot and cold water is a fantastic feature, along with the charming outdoor swing that adds a relaxing touch to your evening. The patio area is well-lit, perfect for enjoying the space after dark. You’re also in a prime location, close to local stores and Tia Juanita's Fish Camp, where the food is amazing! And if you're looking to explore, it’s just a quick trip to the ferry and then you're off to Galveston Island. Weekend Trip to Magnolia Gardens Park

It was the perfect camp set up. A hill overlooking the river and nobody crowding your site. The Managers were sincere and friendly. Maria brought fresh coffee at 7 am and hung out with us. Real good people. Loved everything about it! Definitely coming back!

Loved having a fenced yard for our pup! Tim was great and had great communication! (He even communicated even though on a trip of his own with no cell service!) Nice and private with minimal neighbors using their spots even though it was spring break! Would highly recommend!

Love Love Love! It was exactly what we were looking for! It is very simple and not fancy but has everything you need! Can fish from the grass and use the dock for crabbing! Has the green lights which is a bonus for fishers and the crabbing net was great! I appreciate all the detailed instructions before arrival, made the setup easy and definitely appreciated the heads up about the mosquitos! We didn’t see any until dark and we were able to utilize the out door screened in space for dinner! The fenced yard is great, we had fur babies and it was nice to let them run around! Not many of the lots had a full fence so it was definitely a bonus! Tim was a great host and is very accommodating! We will be back very soon!

2 nights at Edge Of The Waters

We LOVE this place!! This was our 2nd stay & we'll continue to go back. The yard is fenced & clean our fur babies enjoy being able to run around & play and I enjoy the security of knowing they are not going to run off. Tim is a great host from the time you check in until the time you check out. New fishing lights were installed this time & it was great. Don't forget your mosquito spray this time of the year!!

Nice, quiet, clean, and secluded camp. Right on the water. Helpful hosts as well. We couldn't ask for more.

1 night at Magnolia Gardens Park

Nice place along a beautiful the river. Not a lot of other folks here in December so you have your choice of camping spots. Bring bug repellant. Two things to note, the gates are closed from 7pm - 7am. I believe you can make arrangements for later arrival but I would do so well before arriving. Also, there are a few off leash dogs that seem to be full-timers. They keep to themselves for the most part but consider this if you have your own pets with you.

Great location, well maintained bulkhead, nice pier to fish from. Liquor/grocery stores are closeby and very well stocked, should you forget any essentials! We will be back again!

Edge Of The Waters

Waterfront RV Port on Bolivar Peninsula. Water, sewer, and electric (20-30-50 amp panel) Covered RV spot with a screen porch. Property is fenced and dogs are welcome. The screened has a dining table with chairs, and also stores some patio chairs to use on the property. They are really great to sit on the dock! There is also a charcoal grill and a crab trap for you to use. (You need a fishing license and bait. Chicken bones works great!) Fishing is great here... the canals have been dredged and folks are catching right of the back of their lots. Community fishing area is on the end of both Van Sant and Mabry, Mabry has a boat ramp. These you cast right off a drop to the intracoastal. Beach Access via community gate at end of street. Combination for those will be shared in arrival instructions. Spot is a residential lot... It is 60 x 130. Canal City is a quiet residential area. The back side fronts on the water. You will probably see more seagulls and purple martins than people. We have weekly discounts. Message me and I can go over them because the Hipcamp platform makes them difficult. It works out to approximately 7 nights for the price of 5. Be prepared: Bolivar has mosquitoes. This is the coast. If it has rained they can be really bad. The county sprays on a regular rotation but it can be bad. They tend to swarm when you pull in. Spray helps. We also send recommendations for what sprays work best for us in the arrival instructions. We do not offer refunds for mosquitoes. We have never found them unmanageable, and the screen porch keeps them almost entirely away. We are east of Rollover Pass. Easiest to arrive through Winnie and south on 124. Unless you are coming from Galveston or southeast Houston it is probably shorter. The ferry is fun (dolphins and such) but the waits can be long. Also: Do not bring loose propane tanks or gasoline cans on the ferry, they will send you away. Located 1000 ft from access to Lake Houston, the back yard space includes a private side entrance to set up your tent, a fire ring, access to water and electricity, and a small kiddie pool available on request. There is also a BBQ pit and outdoor patio area where you can easily prepare meals. The lake allows for boating and fishing access. Swimming is allowed in the lake, but not recommended. There is a Dollar General and Exxon conveniently located at the entrance of the neighborhood where you can stock up on food, ice, gas, etc.
