Our trip on Christopher’s land was fantastic! The property was beautiful and a wonderful escape from the city. The pond was a really nice element, and we manage to catch a perch and a bass before a cold front came in. Christopher was very attentive and even brought us extra firewood when we requested it after arrival! His hospitality was extraordinary. The process was very simple and I would certainly return to this spot in the future.

Great place to camp with Lynda and Reston being great hosts! We got in very late due to an unseen emergency and Reston still escorted us to our camp site. The grounds were great with so much room to explore. The Haunt was awesome and being able to order breakfast the last day was so much easier for pack up.

David’s land is a fantastic spot! The campsites are spacious, clean and well thought out, and the surrounding land is gorgeous. Tons of space to walk around and explore not to mention the shooting range is top notch. David is also super helpful in making sure your experience here is excellent.

Chuck was an amazing host and a great guy to talk to. He took the time to show me around the property and made sure I was all set to camp there. The area was secluded and peaceful, right next to the pond—perfect if you enjoy fishing. Chuck even shared some tips and advice, suggesting I use a Texas rig. Sure enough, every 3–5 casts I was catching a bass. I highly recommend this spot!

Pros:
- Joe and Joe Sr. were so friendly and welcoming. They were the best part of this site.
- They made every effort to accomodate our needs.
- Beautiful land, very quiet.
- Joe Sr. took us on a tour of the property, including his ATV area.
- Lots of hang out spaces under covered areas, so could accomodate very large groups.
Cons:
- The Electrical box malfunctioned and we were not able to hook up our 50 amp. We tried the 20 amp but that ended up failing too. We ended up having to run our generator, but the hosts covered our gas. They felt so badly about this and were trying to fix the unexpected problem.
- The bathrooms were very rustic. The women’s door was locked, and the men’s bathroom had flushing troubles. The inside bathroom was fine, but with 8 in our party, it was inconvenient to only have one bathroom/shower. There were no sewage hookups.
- Spaces need updating
- Price was high for partial hookup and out-dated, poorly functioning spaces

We loved our first stay at Lynda’s.
Ruston took care of us mainly from picking the best spot that suit us, we had a great time and this is the place if you want to experience the real “Southern Hospitality”.
They have bathrooms, showers, even a kitchen, literally everything.
It’s a 200 acres land so you won’t have to worry about bumping up with other campers, you can be as private or involved as you wish.
We will be back for sure!! And thank y’all again for making this stay great for us.

It’s an ideal woodsy campsite with a picnic bench, clean outhouse as advertised, flat spots for tents and a pond. The frogs were not too loud at night by the pond - just the right amount of nature sounds. We took the row boat out and used the life jackets from the chest by the pond (beware of aggressive wasps in the chest! They keep wasp spray in the porta potty.)
It was about a 1/3 mile walk (or bike ride) to the wedding venue to use the nice showers and kitchen. The VERY big and loud but VERY smart and friendly (don’t be scared) family dog guided us along the trail to and from the venue. Highlight for us!
Lynda and Ruston were so welcoming and accommodating. We saw that is was supposed to rain by 5am and Ruston offered to move us closer to venue. (But we slept in our van so we could stay at the campsite.) And we got so lucky that we happened to be there for Easter Sunday and we were invited to the family breakfast and egg hunt. Perfect for our 4 year old and so thoughtful. Then we got to meet all the farm animals. Just a magical time!

The property is absolutely stunning—beautiful views, peaceful surroundings, and a perfect escape into nature. Every corner felt like a hidden gem, from the scenic trails to the serene spots ideal for relaxing and taking it all in. What made the experience even better were the hosts. They were incredibly kind, welcoming, and went out of their way to make sure everything was just right. You can really tell they care about their land and the people who visit it. I can’t wait to come back!

My second time out to the location. Grass was a little longer this time but it didn't take away from my ability to setup camp, make a good meal, and relax enjoying the outdoors. Though every place in Texas has them, I didn't run into any ant hills where I setup.

We were luckily the only ones camping this weekend so they allowed us to camp wherever.☺️ we ended up by the catfish pond and absolutely enjoyed it! Our dogs were having so much fun swimming & we paddled out on the water. Hiking the property was pretty fun too! Their dogs did show up to say hi & even followed us around some of the property :) luckily our dogs are friendly. We loved it :)

Kelly’s land was absolutely wonderful for a weekend of tent camping. The Sterling pond campsite was so spacious and serene. The fields of flowers were beautiful to walk around in and the forest hikes were so peaceful. We definitely felt like we were alone in the wilderness and it was so perfect. I would highly recommend!

This camp ground is beautiful and peaceful. An abundance of dogwoods, pine, and other trees. Catfish pond was the first thing we saw when we got up in the morning. So calming watching the water and listening to the morning birds singing while we sipped our coffee. The hosts were extremely kind and helpful and always available. My family and I will be adding this wonderful site to our favorite campgrounds.

The land is expansive, perfect for group camping with plenty of flat, open space. It can get windy, and the hum of the interstate is noticeable, but it never distracted from the peaceful outdoor experience or a restful night’s sleep. I look forward to returning, whether with others or for another solo getaway.
