Alexander Creek RV park is a quiet place to stay. The roaming cattle were a refreshing taste of country living. There is a nicely done club house with clean bathrooms and showers. Currently there is not a fire pit or grill at each site but Wendy was quickly accommodating with bringing a grill over for my use. I would stay here again if my travels bring me back this way.

Great place to knock off the winter rust. Hosts super friendly. Trails are marked well. They range from pastures to wooded drainage. They said it was the most people they’ve had at one time, saw one group of kids and a few people on horseback (remember to be respectful to the horses. Some are on a trail for the first time) I hiked in but it looks like most sites are drive in. Bring fishing pole.

This place is the ideal camping spot. When you think of camping, this is the kind of peaceful environment you imagine. I'm pretty sure that we see a unicorn every few days come out of the woods but, I can't be 100% sure.

Went for 3 nights and 2 day.! This place is amazing. The campsite is a great spot! To the north you have you campsite and easy access to creek. To the south you have wide open pasture and herd of Goats! My boys loved camping here. They enjoyed the hammocks we set up between perfectly placed trees. The fishing in the creek!. They caught several LG bass!. 20 minutes to Dinosaur Valley SP. There is a a water spicket available but we brought our own. They have a compost set up for restroom needs. Would recommend to anyone wanting to get away.

Recently stayed for 2 nights here with my dog; I enjoyed it. Definitely seems to have a population of flies around, but very tolerable during my stay. Emory happened to swing by in the morning -- he was very nice. Got some great photos and videos of the land and animals.

Easy to find location, close to grocery/stores, Rod & Eddie were kind & hospitable. The land is peaceful and it provided the perfect rest stop as I was passing through. Would happily return & stay longer next time I’m in the area.

This campsite was great amongst the trees. Loved the roaming livestock farm a neighboring ranch, making even more fun. Wendy greeted us just as we had just pulled into the spot making sure all was okay. Close to Glen Rose and Hico, both places we visited for golf and friends. Nice to come back to a quiet spot.

Come stay on our 100 acre Richard Creek Valley getaway, gently tucked away on the north slope. There are four campsites on the property and they are all at least 150 yards away from each other. Each site is private. When the ground is dry there is access for all vehicles. When the ground is muddy, Brookside, RiverRock, and Richardson Creek campsites require a 4-wheel drive and have alternate routes to get to them. Ancient Oaks is an all-weather site. You can enjoy hiking and swimming in Richardson Creek when water levels permit. Canoeing from Bakers Crossing put-in which is only 3 miles away. Some places to check out while you are here include Dinosaur Valley State Park, Dinosaur World, Granbury Historic Square, Stephenville Rodeo, Bakers Crossing River Put-In, Oakdale Plunge Pool, and BigRocks Park in Glen Rose. Please no loud noises after 9:00 pm as this is quiet time, out of respect for other campers.

In total the property sits on 7.3 acres nestled in the heart of a small lakeside community. This campsite is the first in our campground, so guests will have private access to the entire ridgeline & hiking trails cut through the 7.3 acers into the creek bed below. There is plenty of space for additional tents if guests would like to bring additional campers. Just let us know and I will be happy to discuss all the options. SAFTEY NOTES: The terrain is rocky and can be quite steep in places with some drop offs. Not recommended for small children or pets that are not well trained. We also share the land with lots of wildlife! Please be aware at all times and keep an eye out for snakes & spiders! You may also hear wild boars in the creek bed at night. SITE AMENITES `This site includes a 10x14, Kodiak' canvas tent that will be completely set up with the essentials including Water & Electric, bed & linens & outdoor chairs. INSIDE ` Cozy up on a queen size mattress complete with all the necessary bedding (pillows, sheets &comforter). We like to keep it super cozy but simple inside to make sure there is plenty of space for guest's personal things. BATHROOMS ` There is no access to a bathroom but a screened shelter with a camping toilet & compost bags will be provided. Guests will need to be self-contained, take waste with them and leave no trace. OUTSIDE ` A water spigot & electrical outlet are included at the campsite. A fire pit & firewood will also be provided (with the exception of any burn bans in effect) ACTIVITIES - Neighborhood Boat Ramp & access to Lake Whitney/Brazos River. Stargazing, birdwatching, & hiking the trails are a few things many of our guests enjoy the most. We also have access to a public boat ramp in the neighborhood. Guests will also have access to over 9000 aces of public hunting lands managed by the Army Corp. of Engineers. Meridian State Park & Lake Whitney State Park are each about a 30min drive. Fuller's Folly River Ranch

Sundancer On The Brazos sits on Comanche Creek in an isolated forest on a 350 acre working cattle ranch with a quarter mile of river frontage! The Comanche were quite active up and down this part of the Brazos when the earliest settlers arrived around 1850, until the Comanches' eventual conquest by the Texas Rangers and their Colt pistols around 1870; we have found lots of flint and some arrowheads on high places here. Going further back in history, the Fuller's Folly River Ranch has an abundance of petrified wood, they say that if you have fossilized sea shells you were under water, but if you have petrified wood you had land creatures. Hunting for petrified wood is a fun adventure here. (But leave them for the next person to discover!) Weatherford is only 10 minutes away and Granbury is only 20 minutes away; both have great restaurants. And this close to Fort Worth (30min), you could actually commute and have a ranch to come home to at night--note the lower pricing mid week.
