2 nights at Little Off Lake House

Little off Lake House was a sweet spot to get away for a couple of days with our sons. We were tucked away and had just about one of the best views a person could want and need to rest their minds for a bit. The fishing was fun, they're plentiful, and Kellie providing the option adding on the barge topped it off. We played ping pong, watched movies and enjoyed the deck. The house was clean, mowed around and the AC works great. I would definitely recommend this place to unwind Thank y'all to Kellie and family for sharing with us :).

Weekend Trip to Little Off Lake House

I stayed in the summer of 2023 and this visit the lake level was much higher. Me, my son, one of his friends, and his friend's dad went. We had a fun guys weekend with plenty of fishing. Like before, the place was clean, the A/C worked well, and we all look forward to visiting again.

It was a beautiful trip and campsite. Even more beautiful than shown in the pictures. The owner of the rentals was very kind and helpful. We will certainly return.

What an awesome spot. We had a great time relaxing and unplugging at this cabin. My kids enjoyed fishing and swimming since the lake was high. Made good use of the diving board! We will definitely be back. Kellie was a great host. Made sure we had all we needed and even brought a pole set up for catfish for our kids to try out. They landed a 15lb catfish on his rod. Great memories!

Weekend Trip to Little Off Lake House

We loved our time here! The property is beautiful and exactly as what is advertised. My 11yr old had a blast fishing, jumping on the trampoline and seeing the longhorns and donkeys. It was very relaxing for us adults. Kellie is very responsive and we had everything we needed plus some. We will definitely come back again.

Stopped in on a Monday night. a trip from NM to Austin. 30 ft truck camper. I was looking for somewhere off the major highways and that’s what i found. I travel with 100 pound golden retriever and she approved of the river and acre of grass. Nice host, lovely site. I will go back.

We enjoyed our stay. We sat out by the water and fished. We listened to the frogs and watched the stars in the sky. It was very peaceful. We would recommend staying here.

Weekend Trip to Republic Of Texas Campground

The entire site was extremely clean. All of the hookups were easily accessible. The pull through sites were all leveled with packed caliche which made it very easy to park and level the trailer. The on site hosts are so nice. Overall we would definitely recommend staying here. The only thing people should be aware of is if you have dogs with longer hair on their feet or tail the grass burs, not stickers, will be an issue if you walk them in the grass. Bring a comb.

The spot was really nice! There was a sink, toilet, and shower on sight, and a beautiful view. We had no issues while we were there. There’s no service out there so the free WiFi was super convenient. We also had a really sweet dog visit us which was an added bonus (not sure where he came from). We would definitely camp there again!

2 nights at Jim Ned River Front Getaway

This is by far our favorite Hipcamp site that we have visited. The host Ted met us and showed us around. What a great host. He is truly a very nice man. The river is beautiful. There are so many different birds and bird sounds. The river is a 20 second walk right behind every RV site. They are only three available sites . This place is very romantic for couples. I would say it’s wonderful for families with children and pets. We did not have children with us, but our dog loved it here. It’s very peaceful and quiet but at the same time full of nature sounds. Without any hesitation I highly recommend this place. They have a nice system where people leave extra bait in a freezer for future guests.

We had a great time here. The camp spot was great, level, spacious, bathroom, shower and firewood. Great views of the lake and everyone was very nice. We are going to come back here!

We had an awesome time!!...it is so relaxing, quiet, comfy, and so so beautiful! And then there's outside!!..😍... plenty of peace and quiet!...the lake is so beautiful, especially at sunset!...u can see it all in one beautiful spot, they have wild turkeys, deer, cows and a very handsome longhorn!!..we will definitely be returning!!..The hosts were so welcoming and kind!...This was a much needed getaway for us and we enjoyed every second!!!

Lake is full of Blue gill, bass, crappie, catfish. Since it's private lake there is no need for fishing license. Guest are welcome to explore most of acreage, pet donkeys, watch wildlife. We have fishing poles, Jon boats, motorized barge available for rent. There is fire pit, gas grill (please don’t put charcoal in it) , diving board (when lake is full, ask or check if ok to use). No food is provided you must bring your own, don't forget your coffee, there is a coffee pot but not coffee. No toiletries are provided. Site is 10 minutes from Stephenville, 3 miles from County Store in Huckabay. Linens, towels provided. Board games, Wii, ping-pong table, outdoor games, trampoline on site. Land owners located across lake and may be on lake or available as needed. GPS should get you here. You will go past Little Off Ranch house, follow road to lake house. Keys will be left out on porch on arrival day. Wi-Fi is now available but no cable television. TV is available to use for Wii or DVD/VHS. Large collection of movies available. Pets are welcome as long as they don’t damage home, chase cows, kill chickens or are dangerous to others. There is an extra fee for pets.
