Our family enjoyed desert camping for the first time.
We stayed at the Guad Almighty site which was a little more secluded and definitely would be difficult to get to without the proper vehicle. We had a lovely view of the mountain, enjoyed listening to the coyotes, stargazing and the adorable kangaroo mice.

Perfect Spot! As a solo female I felt super safe here. The spots were spaced out real nice and it was way better than the camping I saw inside Guadalupe. I even saw a Kangaroo Rat on my last night and got clued into Blue Origins being super close so I got to watch a rocket launch. I will be recommending to all of my friends.

Secluded with stunning views of the mountains. Sadly, our trip was cut short due to a winter storm but we will be staying here again. Highly recommend especially if you are wanting to experience the dark skies.

Good Guad was the perfect camp spot for our group! It had gorgeous views and was flexible for setting up tents. We used it while we hiked in White Sands, Carlsbad, and Guadalupe Mtns.
My husband enjoyed the ride in and we did not find it tricky with the map in our Bronco and Jeep Gladiator.
We will definitely be recommending it to anyone visiting the area!

We have stayed at Good Gaud twice now and both times have been exceptional. Now if the west Texas wind would settle down ever it would be a little better but that has nothing to do with the land. Easy to find and get too.

We loved camping here! The views were incredible and weather was perfect. Glad we read some reviews about their tips for using the car as a shield from the wind. We had a minor mishap getting into the gate but Wes was extremely responsive and helpful! Highly recommend

Incredible views of the Guadalupe Mountains! Even though its somewhat close to the highway, I slept like a baby. Beautiful property. Low clearance vehicles: take it extra slow but you'll be fine. My prius scraped a few rocks but made it in and out unscathed.

Octillo Grande was everything I hoped it would be. Just minutes away from the NP the property was easy to locate and Wes was very prompt to reply to any questions I had leading up to my stay. What a beautiful property - I can't wait to go back!

Perfect location, just a 15-minute drive to the Pine Springs trailhead in Guadulupe National Park. Easy to find, you are "locked" in, and the 4 sights are far enough away that you feel like you are alone. Breathtaking view of El Capitan and Guadulupe Peak in the background.
3 nights stay:
*Windy, but tent was secured down and stayed put.
*Small picnic tables at each campsite.
*Gated entrance about 1/4 mile from the road.
*The land is off of a very busy road - traffic was going all night - but it was far enough away - or just so frequent that it was easy to tune out.
*Peaceful, highly recommend for the outdoorsy, don't need amenities type (bring a toilet, bring water, etc)!
*I think the price should be $30, but that's just my two cents, and even so, I would stay here again if ever back in the area!

15 ft pop-up camper
It's one of the closest spots you can find to camp to Guadeloupe Mountains that isn't one of the few spots in the park. The views were great as well. Expect a little road noise since it is off the highway but otherwise it was a peaceful stay and we even heard some coyotes howling at night. Would recommend if you are looking for a secluded area to camp.
