Jay's place was quiet, nicely decorated, and well lit with lighting that was not too bright to disrupt sleep. I would definitely stay there again.

Great park! Small, nicely laid out with all the amenities. Laundry room, separate building with toilet & shower. Sites are all back in but have 30 & 50 Amp service, water, and sewer connections. Starlink internet included. Jay met us when we came in. Made sure we were all set up.
Note: Closest town is Dell City which is about 8 miles away. They have two gas stations. One is pay at pump open 24 hrs but won't take Visa, Mastercard only. Around the corner is the Napa auto parts. They sell gas and take Visa but are only open till about 6pm. Don't let your tank get below 1/2 full out here. Didn't see a grocery so bring your supplies.
Good view of the Guadalupe Mountains, and the national park is about 30 minutes away, but you are out in the desert at Jay's. Beautiful, but desert, so if desert is not your thing be forewarned.
We only spent one night, but wouldn't mind coming back and staying here to be able to explore Guadalupe National Park.

Looking for a small, charming, meticulously maintained spot with an absolutely beautiful view? Look no further! This spot is located within driving distance of Guadalupe Mountains National Park and Carlsbad Caverns. It's great if you just need a spot for the night, but we spent several days here and loved it! The sun rose over one set of mountains in the morning and set over another group of mountains in the evening. The shower house is really nice and clean, and the laundry was the best price we've seen at any park. Just be sure you come stocked because there didn't seem to be any sizable stores in the area. Personally, I really enjoyed the "middle of nowhere" feel. The only thing I feel I need to mention is something that is totally out of the owners' control. The people that live across the road have 3 large dogs (they look like Tibetan Mastiffs or TM mixes) and even though the house is very far back from the road, we did come out a few evenings to find them in the park. They barked at us but never approached us. I would just be vigilant if you're camping with 2 or 4 legged kids.

Jay is doing a great job getting this campsite up and running. There is a new bathhouse and laundry. He’s got some trees that will provide good shade in a couple years. The location to Guadalupe Mountain National Park and Carlsbad Caverns is the whole reason we booked here. Would happily book again if we are back in the area.

We loved this stay! Owner was super friendly, everything looks new & the views are amazing. We stayed for a few days while visiting the 2 nearby National Parks and fir the price of this place, you can't ask for more! Highly recommend!!

Mountain View RV Campground is a Great, Quiet campground, in the middle of nowhere, but conveniently located along the road to Dell City. For us, it was our base camp for visits to Carlsbad Caverns (1 hour drive) and Guadalupe Mountains (30 min drive). We stayed three nights.
Jay and his wife were very friendly hosts. We recommend the campground. The sites are full hook up, but do fill up on gas en bring your own food.

Very easy in and out. Hosts were right there too help you get settled. Convenience spot if visiting Carlsbad caverns. Wi-Fi was great and it was about as easy of a camping experience as it gets. Highly recommend.

A great little spot! We camped in our sprinter and it was very easy and convenient to get to Guadalupe Mountains NP, especially the Salt Basin Dunes. The park has a dozen spots, each with a picnic table, and it was very quiet and peaceful. Would definitely stay here again.
A few things future campers should know: there are no toilets or showers. The nearest gas station is Dell City, which only has two stations. Only one of those stations have diesel, and they only take Mastercard (no Visa or Amex). The next closest gas we could find was 70 miles away in White’s City, NM. Same goes for groceries and food/restaurants… this spot is in the middle of nowhere and there really isn’t anything close. So plan accordingly!

Jay was delightful and met us as soon as we pulled in. He was very helpful and got us all settled in. Our spot was level and the place was very neat and tidy. There were even cute little street lamps peppered throughout. It was a great respite from a long day of driving in the wind!

Great spot, located near Guadalupe Mountains and Carlsbad Caverns National Parks. We loved the spaced out sites, cleanliness, amenities, and welcoming hosts at this location. The dog run behind their home is very helpful when exercising your dog. Their golden retriever Rocket was extremely friendly and made friends with our golden. We would stay here again if passing through.

We will definitely be back! This had the most beautiful view of the Guadeloupe mountains it’s about 15 miles from anything, so make sure you gas up.

The site was easy to find. All sites were pull through. The bath houses were very clean and great after a long trip. It was a very easy access into town. Only downfall is a road located next to the campground was pretty dusty when cars drove down it. View of mountains was pretty.

We were very pleased with the quiet surroundings and the proximity of the campground to Guadalupe National Park. Everything worked great, and we were especially appreciative of the friendliness of the host. We would definitely stay there again if in the area and have already recommended it to friends.

We have zero regrets about choosing Mountain View over other campgrounds for our Carlsbad Caverns visit. This campground is new this year, and pride of ownership is obvious. The roads, campsites and utility hookups are all first rate, and the landscape is on track to make this an oasis in the area. Other campers were quiet, respectful and friendly. We had to sleep with windows open on our second night due to AC issues, and it was cool enough and quiet enough on an early October night that it wasn't a problem. Jay was communicative and it was a pleasure to meet him - we wish him all the best with the campgrounds future.

What a find! Brand new RV site with full hook ups. Lovingly landscaped and cared for with a brand new little laundry facility a step away. Oh and a nice view of the mountains too. A gem when traveling through Texas.
