Weekend Trip to River Grove Campground

We had a great time camping on Billy’s land. The river was beautiful and the campsite was spacious and appointed with a fire pit and chairs. Firewood was provided for a low price. The goats and sheep were friendly and cute.

This place is awesome one of the best hip camps we have ever been to. The little peninsula right off the river was beautiful and lush accompanied by canoes that are available to rent and firewood available for purchase as well. This is a Tip top establishment that I will definitely be visiting again and again for times to come. From wild beavers two cows in the river this place has it all!

Thanks to Billie for a great visit! Amazingly peaceful spot on the Guadalupe River. We were in Site 4 which I recommend wholeheartedly. Great experience!

Great private location with access to pump water. Very peaceful with a lot of animal sounds. River has a boat you can use, I wouldn’t swim in it lol. Billy was accommodating and nice. Trash can at entrance. No bathroom or shower. Prepare your own.

Camping on Billy's land was so relaxing, the location is amazing next to the Guadalupe river. The other sites are far enough where you dont even notice anyone around, and the sheep/goats were so amazing and really topped off the trip. I would highly recommend this space to anyone interested and I will definitely be returning!

Host Billy could not have been nicer!! Wonderful spot with nice 'neighbors ' (sheep and goats)!! It was a perfect place to unwind with some nature therapy. Only natural noise.

This was a repeat visit and it was even better! The campground is beautiful, the river is beautiful, Billy is so so helpful and available and always makes a great experience for the kids; it’s a perfect spot. I also love the privacy you get at each campsite so you really get to disconnect

Y'ALL, the beauty, the nature, the attentiveness of the host. An absolute must campsite! My family and I had a fabulous time and can't wait for another trip. Add this to you must-go campsite, it is completely worth it.

A little slice of heaven! Billy was super nice and the land was very private - no other campers nearby it was just us on the river. The grass is so green and luscious it was very pleasant.

We stayed at River bottom and it was great! Perfect for fishing, floating, birding, whatever you want to do. This is a perfect destination for any season but the abundant shade and vicinity to the river makes it perfect for summer. Billy is a great host and communicator. We are already planning our next trip.

We had an excellent time at the Secluded Guadalupe camp site. Billy was accommodating and helpful. Grounds were maintained and there was plenty to do in the area, hiking, paddling down the river, visiting the goats... it was a nice little weekend getaway!

My wife and I needed a little time alone in nature. That is exactly what we got. Went kayaking up the Guadalupe for about an hour. Did not see one person. But we did see all sorts of wildlife. The moon wasn't out so the stars were amazing. Perfect trip we will be back.

Billy was excellent with communication and welcomed us right in! The property was stunning, and we were also greeted by all the goats (and baby goats). Our stay was perfect: beautiful views and plenty of private space, and Billy had firewood for us to purchase to enjoy all night. This is definitely a place to stay!

We had an incredible stay at this private campsite! It was the perfect serene getaway for my fiancé, our dog, and me. The site is right on the river, offering stunning views and peaceful sounds of the water. We loved the privacy—having the whole place to ourselves made it feel like our own little slice of paradise. The grounds were beautifully maintained, clean, and well cared for, which made our experience even better. It was the perfect spot to relax, unwind, and connect with nature. We can’t wait to come back!
