My 19 yr old son and I came to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and what we found was incredibly remarkable. Such a serene experience right next the mighty Brazos River. The water was flowing pretty swiftly due to flood control from the upstream lake but us and our 2 Black Lab pups just loved every minute of our time. With about 2 miles of well maintained riverfront to hike, we found ourselves just completely blown away by the beauty and serenity of God’s creation. His staff was very helpful and they made the stay very pleasant and accommodated all of our needs. I highly recommend this place to anyone and my wife and I are already in the works of planning our return trip.

We loved staying on Gary’s property! It was the perfect weekend getaway. It was so peaceful and the animals were all so friendly and sweet. The property was easy to get to and easy to get in and out. Gary and Dee were wonderful as was everyone else on property we got to meet! We had some issues with our RV and had to use the restroom they have there which was clean and perfect! It is disguised as a cute little outhouse and was steps away from our camper. We visited the stockyards in Fort Worth while we were there which was just about 30 min away! Thank you so much for having us! We will be back!

I had a wonderful time at Gypsy Moon. Amy was very accommodating and the people there were all very friendly. I had an ideal campsite that was right on the river. Beautiful views and lots of nice public spaces. I hope to return soon with my family for kayaking. . I think the grandkids will love it!

We had a great time at Amy’s place. We stayed at the primitive camp site, but everything was very close by and convenient. They had everything you needed on the property. The animals that lived there were awesome, especially Dirk the goat! I could have just watched the baby goats playing for hours! There were so many songbirds, and the stargazing was great. There were kayaks for rent, that could use a little updating, but while they wouldn’t be for a serious kayaker, (who would have their own gear), they were probably good enough for a novice to play around with. New paddles and seats would be nice. All in all it was a great stay, and I would definitely stay here again!

Weekend Trip to Creekside Brazos Rock Camp & Kayak

We enjoyed camping beside the creek and having the whole place to ourselves most of the time. I also appreciate that there’s a bathroom with an indoor and outdoor shower! The water is cold, but after kayaking I didn’t really mind. The launch point was very difficult to manage, but that might be because the water was low. I loved the fact that a five minute paddle down the creek took us to the Brazos and a beautiful swim beach!

There's a nice creek for fishing on one side of the property. The restroom is very good and more than you would expect for a simple campground.

Our stay at bee mountain resort was amazing!! The camping area are very spacious, gives you PLENTY of room if 3 or more tents are being put up. We were right off the bank shore making it easy to put kayaks into the water. Finally the bathroom are clean and kept up. Lots of trails to hike as well. Melanie and Tony are very helpful and keep EVERYONE update when bathroom are being traded out or just checking if campers need anything, definitely recommend and will be coming back to here

3 nights at Bee Mountain River Resort

Had an amazing time. Crew taking care of restrooms and running the wood/ice requests were timely and accepted Zelle at the reception area at the front of the property. Kayak rentals were fun and they double as a paddle board.

We stayed the weekend for a getaway from life and work. Such a calm and relaxing location. It was nice to lay in the hammock and watch the animals walk around. We enjoyed walks around the property with small trails to walk through. One of our best moments was sitting by the lake at night to star gaze, it was such a beautiful view of all the visible stars. Our 4 legged furry daughter really enjoyed laying on the top floor balcony of the dollhouse to enjoy the entire view. We had such an amazing weekend. Thank you Amy for being such an accommodating host. We will definitely 1000% be back!

The experience was perfect and exactly what we were looking for. Amy was very accommodating and great with our children in our group. This camp has a wonderful pavilion with lots of seating and activities for the children also. We loved the animals, the quiet, and the area to walk and enjoy. We had a magnificent time at Bee Mountain. Tony and Melanie were fantastic hosts and we cannot wait to go back. They made check in a breeze, they were super friendly, answered every question we had, and were a joy to sit and chat with. The property is simply stunning! I could go on and on and on about it, but just do yourself a favor and go out there for a stay!! It’s truly a gem and I am so thankful that there are private property owners that share their little slices of heaven with those of us who would rather be out in nature than stuck in the concrete jungles. Located at the end of the road. There is over 20 acres. Some cleared and some still in original woods. Trees, grass and deer everywhere. There is over a quarter mile of Brazos riverfront property although you cannot get to the river on all of it due to it being in its natural state. There is a beach at the main camp that provides easy in and out of the water. the water depth varies with the rainfall but is usually between 2-4 feet deep.
