Weekend Trip to Adventure Creek Ranch

There is so much to do at Adventure Creek Camp, and the setting is beautiful. Debbie is so thoughtful with the details she puts into decorating and the amenities. You have to see it for yourself. You can go on a hunt counting cows, counting swings, counting wind chimes, or sit by the fire and enjoy the quiet. The place is so unique, but I don't want to give away what they have to offer at Adventure Creek Camp, so check it out for yourself.

melissa’s spot is super cute and comfy, and she and family were very gracious and accommodating hosts despite us arriving late on xmas eve. we (2 people and an elderly dog) had everything we needed for some good rest, a campfire, and grilling a delicious dinner. melissa also had plenty of useful local tips, and WOW the breakfast sandwich was so good! would stay again 🤗

Absolutely amazing!!! I can’t wait to come back. Melissa was the best house and the property was even better than I expected. I was so comfortable, secure and felt like I was totally isolated. At the same time, I knew help or something I needed was just a text away. The fire pit made cooking a breeze, and I spent so much time in the sauna. The bathtub was amazing and fully stocked!

I stayed for three nights and never tired of the entrance to the enchanted garden, the energy of the tipi, the wonderful hammock and garden chairs to lounge in, and relaxing bathtub (and soothing record player). I only stayed one night, but it was such a peaceful and relaxing experience! The owners are onsite, friendly, very helpful and responsive to any questions I had before and during my stay. The location was easy to find in the daylight (I arrived mid afternoon), and everything was just as described. GPS gets you to the right spot but note it will be very dark at night as there are no street lamps which makes for amazing night sky/star gazing. I had my Great Dane with me and the other dogs onsite came to meet him and they all got along well. I stayed in the smaller camper, and it was cozy, clean, and comfortable—the bed was great, and I slept really well. The A/C worked perfectly, which was a lifesaver in the Texas heat. There’s a small deck with an awning for shade, and a shared grill if you want to cook outside. I brought most of my own supplies, so I didn’t use the kitchen gear, but everything you’d need seemed to be there. Fridge and freezer worked well. The camper is located close to the horse barn, which was a bonus—I enjoyed walking around and even got to meet the horses. There are also shared bathroom facilities in the barn if you prefer a regular shower over the RV setup. It’s a perfect spot for a peaceful getaway, especially if you love animals and want a quiet, rural escape. It’s a good location to explore Mineral Welsl, Granbury and Weatherford areas. I’d definitely stay again!

This place was amazing! Melissa met us as we pulled in. My two little ones immediately adored her. She was so nice and welcoming. I was honestly blown away with how secluded and “in the woods out in the middle of nowhere” it felt. The boys (6 and 3) and I haven’t done a real camping trip yet and I wanted to do kind of a trial run first. It honestly couldn’t have went better. They said it felt like we went through a portal! We had plenty of fire wood to roast marshmallows and hot dogs and the boys loved the teepee! Thank you again Melissa for such an amazing experience!

Weekend Trip to Stanford Ranch Lakeside RV Resort

We stayed in a rented R.V. R.V. was super clean, air conditioner, and stocked with everything we could have ever needed! Fridge kept all our food ice cold! Scott, the owner, was super friendly and attentive. Saw him every day maintaining the property. He even lent my kids fishing poles because we bought cheap ones and they broke first trip out. Beautiful view, had lots of rain at night but the days were beautiful! We will absolutely be returning very soon!

I also noticed there were others camping with us on other areas but they were respectful and kind. We also did canoeing and paddle boating activities. At night, it was peaceful.

2 nights at Farm Tipi with Sauna

This was my first attempt at taking my young children outdoors overnight. I wanted something as close to camping as possible, and the farm teepee was exactly what I imagined. Melissa was a wonderful hostess! She was kind, thoughtful and attentive. Most importantly however, she recognized that crazed mom look in my eyes and instantly helped me relax with her friendly demeanor. Teepee was super roomy; 2 big comfy beds with room for 2 wild kids to get their crazies out. The farm was a little bit of wild that they could safely explore and start to get comfortable with all the scary spiders and loud roosters crowing LOL Her vinyl collection was insane! I need to come back just to listen to more records. But by far the best part of the trip (besides the crazy delicious farm breakfast), was at night when it got quiet and the moon and stars lit up everything and I felt a peace you just can’t get in the city. Getting back in touch with nature like that was incredibly healing and rejuvenating. 10/10 would recommend!

The teepee on Melissa’s land is a unique place to stay. The teepee is big! The bed was very comfortable and we appreciated the electric blankets. We stayed warm and cozy all night. The she shed has a big tub and the bathroom was clean. There’s a coffee maker, record player and a sauna! The land has a privet? hedge that provides for a secluded feel. We enjoyed our stay very much.
