Surrounded by miles of hiking trails, both on the property and into the surrounding National Forest. Rolling to mountainous terrain, creeks, set within artisanal cattle farm. Trout fishing less than two miles away. Ten minute drive to hot pizza, and 35 minute drive to town of Hot Springs - rent a hot tub, good local restaurants. Twenty minutes to nearest boat put-in on French Broad River. One hour from Dollywood, Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge.

It was a very enjoyable experience in this rustic cabin. I was traveling with my dog and we had plenty of space for the both of us. At night you could hear the local creek and in the morning I hiked around the property. There was snow the first night but we were able to get wood for the stove and were very comfortable. Would recommend and will stay again when passing through.

Rocio was a great host. We had fun hiking and a special treat was enjoying some farm fresh eggs, that Rocio gave us for breakfast! It was a nice and relaxing stay. I would definitely recommend and come back in the future.

I loved how the site was by the small creek! It’s very rustic but you can use the bathroom inside the main house. There are trails on the property to hike so that’s a plus. A very peaceful stay !

This is a great little exclusive place, had full hook ups and a great mountain view. Had 50amp and 30amp service. We pulled our 26' travel trailer up there no problems. It's about 4 miles off of i40. We used it to stay over night while making it back up north.

Sunset Ridge near Del Rio, TN is a true hidden gem perched high on a ridge with sweeping 50-mile western views of untouched American wilderness. From towering 6,000+ ft Smoky Mountain peaks to dense pine forests, deer, bears, and classic backwoods charm, this spot delivers the authentic mountain experience. Like many Hipcamp sites, you’ll drive through a few “interesting” areas to get there, but it’s absolutely worth the short detour off I-40. Hurricane Helen repair work continues in the region, so expect minor delays—but nothing that should deter your stay.
The site itself is well laid out with a reliable 50-AMP hookup (30-AMP rigs should bring an adapter), two properly placed sewer connections for easy access, and a well-pump water source offering around 15–20 psi. We found that perfectly adequate for daily use, or you can fill your onboard tank and enjoy a stronger 40–50 psi via your RV’s pump.
A cozy two-person swing overlooks the valley and is perfect for sunrise coffee or sunset photos. The spacious gravel circular driveway provides plenty of room for multiple vehicles and offers simple, level parking. Nights were peacefully quiet, with only the sounds of the woods around you. The paved road network above and around the property makes for great short hikes and even better sunset views. A firepit, available WiFi, and open sky complete the experience. Highly recommended for anyone seeking solitude, scenery, and Smoky Mountain magic. We will definitely be back soon.

Our stay at John's place at Sunset ridge was wonderful. Very private and quiet with a beautiful view of the mountains and, yes, sunsets. Easy in and out with room for two campers if you want to have a friend join. We highly recommend this site. When I asked for local suggestions they shared a great list. Our only regret is that we could not stay longer.

We had a wonderful time staying at John's campsite and thoroughly enjoyed the absolutely incredible views!!
We have a 45ft Class A Motorhome pulling a 25ft flatbed trailer carrying our full-size Titan truck and had plenty of room.
We were a little concerned upon reading some people's reviews about the drive to the campsite so we unhooked the trailer from the rv prior to driving up the mountain and pulled the trailer with the truck to which we had no problems at all getting to the campsite.
The campsite has 50 amp hookup, water, sewer and excellent wifi. Did I mention the impeccable views 😀
We surely hope to stay here again the next time we travel to this area.

The views are priceless. Very happy with our stay. Would recommend to anyone in a heartbeat. We went to Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge and Sevierville, the drive was absolutely beautiful. A great place to be away from all the hustle and bustle after being in those cities.

Information on getting there. We pulled a 36 ft tag along trailer. It's very narrow one lane road last 1/4 mile. But no traffic hardly.

I thoroughly enjoyed camping at Carrie's. The campsite is gorgeous and peaceful--the perfect location for relaxation and soaking in some nature. We set up our hammock for some r and r, explored a nearby creek, and hiked the trail on the property.
Carrie is so friendly and helpful. She provided water and there are potable hands pumps. There's an outhouse and you can purchase firewood, too.
This experience exceeded our expectations. We will definitely be coming back.

Let me tell you, this place is fantastic! The view is spectacular! This is a very large lot with all hookups, fire ring, wood, picnic table and a wonderful wooden swing to enjoy the view.
