In the intervening time, we became enthralled with growing vegetables, raising ducks, grazing sheep and hiking the hills behind us. Then Nicole discovered permaculture and began the process of changing the land using these practices. With our three dogs, cats, goats, sheep, rabbits, ducks and chicken (there is only one chicken), things can be pretty merry around her. There are aquaponics and hydroponics to check out for fun. We've stayed here several times, and love it - is a sprawling, ramshackle farm that is a great place to spend the night camping with our trailer with our dogs. There's one or two campsites with electric and water hookups (that you may or may not be able to find) The land is somewhat unimproved with lots of mud and ruts and junk and holes (be careful). There are cars and campers strewn about. The pigs are very friendly 😁 We saw a family of bobcats crossing Eatons Creek road out front. It's SO close to downtown and the development is encroaching closer and closer - we hope it will stay wild and undeveloped forever.

My pup and I had a wonderful stay on Ashley’s land. The A-frame was perfectly placed in the woods and after a mini hike to it, we settled in and enjoyed nature’s sounds and peace. Would definitely recommend a visit. Do pack light though as its a small hike up to camp. I had a small bag, pup pack and a cooler and broke a good sweat to get to it. Will for sure return next time I’m in town!

We had a wonderful visit to Sheila's hipcamp site! This place was very secluded and peaceful!! We loved exploring the creek with our heeler, she had a blast fetching and swimming! There were tons of butterflies and migratory songbirds birds. If you're a birder, you would love to visit here during the migration!! We enjoyed going for walks and listening for birds. We put our popup tent up under the awning bc it was supposed to rain here and there. Worked out perfect. Our gazebo tent does not have a floor. Everything stayed dry. 1 night at Middle TN Outdoor Escape

Beautiful property in the country. Everything was exactly as described. Quiet and peaceful. Her partner came out to help when I dropped my motorcycle and was kind and friendly. Beware that access to the group camping area and showers was slippery and a little steep by motorcycle after a rain but should be fine in an automobile (I was prewarned). I would stay there again.

2 nights at Hollerpalooza

Host responded to a question right away on our arrival. The site is nice and secluded, with a stream bordering the field which helped everyone sleep like a rock :). There is a house on the edge of the property but nobody was home. We moved some tables and things aside under the pavilion to camp under it the second night before storms rolled in. Overall loved this place! Thank you, Sheila!
