One of the newer campgrounds in Pigeon Forge, in a great location right in the middle of everything. Staff were very friendly and helpful with everything. Bathhouse was immaculate and spacious. Everything has been well maintained and still looked and felt brand new after 2 years of business.

We stayed at Waterfall Haven campsite 9 and you can't beat the site from a view perspective - it's adjacent to the stream/river and it's just lovely. There's also a waterfall just behind you. We were able to camp on a wooded deck/platform, and loved it. All of the campsites had stone firepits in place which was nice (if you pre-book firewood you retrieve near the butterfly barn) and the sites aren't too close to one another. Once you turn off of the main road onto the gravel road, it's a good several miles before you'll get to the actual site, so be patient. Do note, that you'll need a proper vehicle getting in and out as this is pretty "off-road" - there's an actual grave road but there's a lot of large rocks to get over (so don't go in a low vehicle). Lastly, the compost toilets are nice to have, but it's a bucket with a toilet set, just fyi to set expectations and there is zero cell service (SOS the entire time).

We had no issues booking this campsite last minute, and while there was no communication from the owner during our stay, everything went smoothly and we had an amazing weekend. The location can be a bit tricky to find, so be sure to follow the directions provided in your booking. The site itself is large, private, and offers a breathtaking view of the smoky mountains. Since it faces west, the sunsets are absolutely phenomenal! The campsite includes a fire pit, a wooden swing, a large teepee structure, and a small toilet shed — all decently maintained. We didn’t see any bears during our stay, but we did hang our food in a nearby tree just to be safe. Overall, it was a peaceful and scenic getaway — we’d definitely stay here again and have already been recommending it to friends!

Wow, expectations exceeded! Doug and Eddy were delightful and helpful hosts on the grounds. We had a group of 12 women meeting up for a mountain getaway :). This property is basically "choose your own adventure" - between going for runs and hikes, hanging out on the porch, leisurely enjoying the views, fire pit with snacks and stars, and napping in the hammocks - we all wanted to stay a few more days! We will be back, for sure. This was everything we wanted the weekend to be and more! A few notes -- there's no electricity provided wired into the cabins, but they do have a battery pack with usb ports you can ask to use (we brought our own chargers, no problem). Theres also lanterns and candles in each cabin and bathroom (lovely touch) but would recommend bringing a handful of additional headlamps for ease of getting around! Also, no issue for our group, but the hike in and out really is no joke :) A pleasant challenge with an amazing reward. Five Stars.

We absolutely love this site! The only thing we didn’t like is that there’s no swimming pool area—we’d love to see one added. The staff at the front office were extremely friendly, and my son had a great time playing with another little boy who was there. We would definitely come back and stay again in the future. I just really hope they consider adding a pool so we can cool off during the summer heat. We also loved the shower facilities—they were very clean. The cornhole boards at the clubhouse were a fun touch, and we appreciated the tables under the pavilion for relaxing outside. We really enjoyed the pool table and the large, comfortable couches upstairs. It all felt very cozy and inviting.

I enjoyed staying in this Yurt! It was clean and felt luxurious. The people who lived in the area were quiet. At night I loved hearing the rushing water and frogs from my porch area. I felt safe here and there is a lock on the front door of the Yurt. If you need internet for work or school this may be a issue. I was unable to connect and my phone service with AT&T was spotty. I enjoyed my stay and would do it again.

We absolutely loved camping on Indigo Eagle Sanctuary. It was such a beautiful place, secluded and sooo quiet. It was perfect for us and our dog. He loved it! I would recommend that if you are planning on camping here that you have a high clearance vehicle. The "road" wasn't a real road and it was very, very rocky so AWD or 4WD preferred. And just make sure it's high clearance. We had no data either so if you are looking to get off the grid completely then this is the perfect place for that. Once we started climbing the mountain, we lost data. So download all the map routes you need and just prepare yourself. We couldn't even check the weather so prep for any and every weather change. It was so pretty though and we were able to really relax and just enjoy ourselves. Thank you for having us Indigo Eagle.

This site has a pull through, full hookup spot with 30amp for campers but tents are always welcome or a combination of the two. I've had a 33' camper, popup camper and 6 tents at this campsite all at the same time so there plenty of room for your family and friends! We're 2.5 miles from the Cherokee Casino and 3.5 miles from down town Cherokee If you're tired of crowded campgrounds then you'll love the privacy this campground offers. This is now a two site campground with each site being around 100' away from the other site with trees and vegetation growing in between, you more or less cant see on site from the other from May until November. There is a orange cone that marks the border of the two sites. One set of campers will not be allowed on the other campers campsite, if this happens you will be evicted with no refund. Check in is at 2pm and check out is at 12pm. No shooting firearms, (although you may hear people shooting firearms because you will be camping in the mountains) but your more than welcome to bring your firearms. Its better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it.   No fireworks. No making trails or collecting firewood (This is not because I want to sell you firewood, its because I want to have the property remain as pristine as possible) Do not cut down trees alive or dead  If you move picnic tables please move them back Dogs are permitted but message me first to see if your do will be a good fit. There is a small Church around 200 yards from the campground. They hold services every Wednesday and Sunday. They generally start around 5pm and it lasts around a hour. If your into that they would love to have you come down. The EBCI opened a dispensary around 3 miles from the campground. It will open to all adults over 21 starting September 7th 2024. My parents bought the 120 acre property in the 1960s. I started clearing and building the campsite in 2019. Watch the sun rise on one side of Troublesome Gap and watch it set on the other side.  There is a circle drive for 2 teardrop / squaredrop or pop up campers and plenty of spots to pitch tents.   There are also great spots to hang your hammock.   Camp where my family camps.  My parents bought the property in the 1960s and we have camped up here, hiked, hunted, and cut firewood many weekends.  We decided to share the property so you can enjoy camping up here too! The property is in a remote location where you can enjoy the wildlife and the cooler temps in the summer.  You'll have 3 acres all to yourself.  The closest grocery store is an hour away but the Trust General Store with a restaurant and gas approximately is 7 miles away.  There is also a burger joint (Dave's 209) on the way to the Trust General Store.   This camping site is in a remote area and the nearest neighbor about 1/2 mile away.  Max Patch is about 25 minutes away and features beautiful hiking. The quaint town of Marshall is about 30 minutes away.  Asheville is about an hour away. The campsite is easily accessible from Baltimore Branch Road.  However Baltimore Brand Road (public road) is steep in places and we don't recommend an RV bigger than a popup camper.   If you are pulling a trailer you'll really want to consider having 4wd. If you aren't used to driving on steep dirt mountain roads, you may want to bring your 4wd vehicle. If you have a 2wd vehicle, then you'll want to come to the site via Big Pine Road. This route will take you through Walnut, NC We also provide a porta-a-john for your convenience. This is a campsite where have the whole 3.5 acre property to yourself. You are surrounded by properties that vary from 40 acres to over a hundred acres. We just want you to have a great time and bring home great stories. It seems like every visitor to Troublesome Gap has a great story. Come camp with us and build your own story. Important Note: Water is only available on the site from Memorial Day through Labor Day, Otherwise you'll need to bring your own water. There is a camera on the property. It faces the gate (and away from the campsite).
