Campsite on the Caney is a full hook up RV campsite located right on the Caney Fork River. Our campsite only accommodates one guest at a time. When you book your dates, you will be the only guest on site and get the whole property to yourself. Our campsite offers privacy that you cannot get at a traditional campground.
We provide full electricity, septic, and water hookups for campers. We now offer free fiber internet with your stay.
The property has a private boat ramp/ driveway that leads to the water for launching boats, kayaks, swimming and easier fishing access. Our riverbank is a gradual, sandy slope that is perfect for swimming and kayaking in the summer months. The campsite offers a swing set, charcoal grill, picnic table, saucer swing, 2 kayaks with lifejackets, and firewood so campers can relax by the fire and enjoy watching the wildlife.
INCLUDED WITH YOUR STAY: 2 kayaks and 2 paddles will be included during your entire stay. Please only use them at our campsite. Please wear your lifejacket while swimming and kayaking.
NOTE: The river levels are controlled by the Great Falls Dam in Rock Island. During the months of October- early May, the water levels drop 20ft to prevent flooding.
Note: Cell service is spotty for Verizon and very scarce for AT&T.

Open land on top of South Pittsburg Mountain. Approximately 2 miles from town of South Pittsburg, TN. You'll pull off the Patton School Rd to left (East). Most guests like to park up near the abandoned white building. Open dirt and native grass with shade trees randomly. Approx 3 acres of open, rough terrain and 2 acre of wooded area. There is a ravine on both sides of the property. A few areas close to the road are flat or up near the old white building, but much has varying degrees of incline to it. Tennessee River is 4 miles away. Lake Nickajack is 15 miles away. Franklin State Forest is 13 miles away. South Pittsburg is a quaint little town and home of the Lodge Cast Iron skillet. There is a Lodge store, museum and restaurant to go visit. Excellent food at the restaurant there: Big Bad Breakfast. Additionally other great restaurants in town and a superb coffee shop. Also the home of the National Cornbread Festival the last weekend in April. My land here for you has no water available and no electricity nor trash or sewer. We loved our time at Campsite on the Caney. It is very centrally located -- 15 minutes from town, 30 minutes to an hour to over a dozen state parks & waterfalls to the West, North, & South. Smokey Mountains 2.5-3 hours to the east. Chattanooga 1.5 hours south. We were out from sunrise to sunset for 6 days straight and barely scratched the surface. We had some cold fall days and weren't able to take advantage of the kayaks but the site was gorgeous and wish we had a couple more days just to hang out at the site. Other than a couple cars a day passing by, we never saw anyone the entire 6 days. Our dogs loved it. The host was very hospitable and responsive. I would recommend this site to anyone especially if you have pets and enjoy privacy.

This is one of our favorite spots! Cameron has amazing communication and responds quickly to any questions! The site is well kept and has everything you could want! The site is close to beautiful hikes and is quiet with almost no traffic. I think we saw/heard a couple of cars all weekend. We hiked Lost creek to Virgin Falls on this trip. About 20 minutes from the site and extremely challenging, but worth it if you are up for an adventure! There are also a couple for easier hikes from there that are equally pretty! We didn’t use the kayaks this time but did some bank fishing and it was peaceful. We will definitely be back!

This is such a great spot! Very quiet and peaceful, loved the smooth access to the water. The host is very responsive and had a lot of things at the site for us to use (floats, kayaks, extension cords, hoses, etc). Be sure to go through the binder and check out some of the places on their list! Lost creek falls and cave were amazing and we never would have known about it if we hadn't looked at the binder.

Cameron's place is absolutely beautiful! So peaceful yet close enough to Dollar General or WalMart in case the need arises. The communication from Cameron was the best we have ever experienced, she was always quick to answer my many questions! We enjoyed the freedom of taking our kayaks in either direction from camp. Taking a right off the beach then left under the old bridge will take you to Caney Creek and then on to Big Swamp Spring (our favorite). We cannot wait to plan our next visit!

Beautiful campsite - single campsite, so tons of room. Easy access to electric, water, sewer. Wifi even available which is not necessary for camping, but cell service was not great in the area, so it was very nice to have.
Kayaks and inter-tubes (with life jackets) available for use - so much fun!!
Peaceful. Owners are super friendly and helpful - provided great service and addressed any questions/concerns immediately.

Loved Campsite on the Caney! We had plenty of room for us and our 3 kids and my parents, a nice fire pit, the swings were a nice addition to have at a campsite and the ambiance of the river was so relaxing! We stayed 3 nights and visited Fall Creek Falls, Lost Creek Falls and rented a boat on Center Hill Lake. Fall Creek Falls and Lost Creek are less than 20 minutes away from the campsite! There is also stores less than 20 minutes away just in case you forgot anything! Would highly recommend Campsite on the Caney to anyone!

Micah and Rachel were the sweetest hosts that we hope we can now call our friends. We hope to visit them again soon because we enjoyed their safe and serene property, hospitality, and proximity to Fall Creek Falls. Micah gifted us fire wood and margaritas for our first night and we even left with fresh eggs! Staying with them was a tremendous blessing and we are forever grateful for them. This site would support any style rig or camping. Amazing stargazing on clear nights.
