A few neighbors' houses are somewhat visible from the bus. Neighborhood noises including dogs/cars/roosters/etc are also possible, as are the sounds of wildlife! We've seen deer, heard bobcats, and are stunned by the variety of birdsong we hear in the mornings.
We are in the process of restoring our land. Shoes are required on the lot, as there could be remaining debris from the previous owners. For the same reason, we also require guests to stick to the gravel and mulched areas and paths.
Other things to note
The bus is visible from the road, however we are one of only 3 houses on this street, so traffic is minimal (though it can be fast).

We’re happy to welcome well-behaved dogs! There is a $50 pet fee per stay to help cover additional cleaning and upkeep so we can continue offering a fresh, comfortable space for every guest (and their furry friends 🐶).
Please make sure to add your pet to your reservation when booking, or let us know before check-in so we can update your stay accordingly.

With walk-in access to the water, the camp is perfect for exploring a thriving river system (2, 6, and 8 mile floats are easy since take-out points are just up the road a piece or just paddle up and down the river, depending on the rains). The river is wadable most of the year. Smallmouth and seasonal trout make for easy fishing. The river is home to an abundance of birds, turtles, and fur-bearing friends.

Beautiful campsite and location on the river. We had a blast fishing, kayaking and tubing. There was a little island across the way that the kids had fun exploring around. Tent was comfortable and the outhouse was convenient. Seth and his wife were very hospitable. Highly recommend!

Fantastic place to relax! The tent is well equipped with a comfortable bed and bedding. Two rechargeable fans/lights, two lanterns, cooking equipment. We loved the little firewood stove in the tent where we made coffee in the morning. Plenty of firewood for the firepit. Wonderful memories were made here- beautiful, private feeling location by the water. Seth and his family were very accommodating- with an extra blanket etc. My husband and I would love to come back!

The tent was very clean & spacious. Beds were fairly comfortable. The bathrooms & facilities were very clean & kept warm. We were right by the playground which was perfect for the kids, and the bathroom was close too. While the tent did have a heating/cooling unit, I’d suggest bringing extra blankets & at least 1 space heater for cold nights. We were able to keep the tent a comfortable temperature with the help of our space heater, but without it we would’ve been pretty cold overnight.
