Hammock’Sway Off Grid & Private

29 sites · Lodging, RVs, Tents37 acres · Spencer, TN
Get Lost or Find Yourself. Sway Camping is a private, Off Grid camping experience in Rock Island TN. Situated between Isha Yoga center, Fall Creek Falls, and Rock Island state park, this property is something special. Each campsite offers a private space perfect for getting away, or large enough for family and groups. Pet Friendly property with lots of room to be a part of nature along the beautiful Rocky River. Camp along the river or up in your own private forest. One of the darkets skies around so be ready for some stargazing at night by the fire. This is a property I purchased in 2018 to create a camping experience that reflected the image of camping as a kid. This isn’t a "hotel without walls." This is real camping. No phone signal. No electric wires. Just nature and beauty in a quiet environment. Get lost or find yourself relaxing along the Rocky River. Stay in a hammock, a tent, camper, RV, or one of our cabins. Privacy and freedom is what we are about. Pet friendly camping that should be shared, but please don't tell everyone you know. Only your favorite people.. Then come camp!

Camp Chet

8 sites · Lodging, RVs950 acres · Whitwell, TN
Camp Chet was founded with the purpose to help people encounter God through outdoor experiences. It encompasses 994 acres of private forested land on Whitwell Mountain, which is part of the Cumberland Plateau in Southeast Tennessee.   Take a hike on miles of trails comprised of forest paths, old wagon roads, or coal mining roads.  If you find a chunk of coal on the ground feel free to take it home with you as a souvenir.  If you are a history buff, you may be interested in discovering previous caretakers from the late 1800's and early 1900's in nearby cemeteries.  The camp ground is on top of a mountain, and you will have to go through a locked gate and drive over a mile and half on a bumpy gravel/dirt road. You will be most comfortable in a vehicle that is suitable for rugged terrain.Day trips less than an hour away include the Tennessee Aquarium in Chattanooga, Rock City, Ruby Falls, Nickajack Lake and Bat Cave among many others. Come to hike, relax, bike, explore, and recharge.

Crossing Creeks Farm

3 sites · Lodging125 acres · Shelbyville, TN
In December of 2012, our family purchased 125 acres located in south central Tennessee, Bedford County. With no permanent driveway, two creeks to cross to access the land, barbed wire fence everywhere and an old hay barn, there was much work ahead to be done. We have made many improvements over the years but the two creeks offer the same beauty. Now two bridges and a driveway cross over the two creeks before they merge into one, producing the name Crossing Creeks Farm. We are passionate about producing great food for our family’s table and yours. With a commitment to producing pasture raised, organic fed and soy free everything through regenerative farming practices, our focus is grass-fed meats and eggs. Our second passion is hosting guests right here on the farm with unique farm stays.Learn more about this land:At Crossing Creeks Farm, we are passionate about producing pasture raised, organic fed, soy free food for our family's table and yours. Each Adirondack cabin is open air with the front fully screened. Upon arrival, park in front of our farm store where we will meet you with our tractor and wagon to load your belongings. We will deliver your gear to the campsite located across the creek while you get a brief tour of the bathhouse and facilities. Our private campsite sits in the bend of one of our farm's creeks with two large old trees in the middle, along with a fire pit, picnic pavilion, 2 Adirondack cabins, and an outdoor bathhouse. The historic town of Bell Buckle is only 6 miles from our farm and offers great shopping (lots of antiques), seasonal craft fairs/events and dining.
