Get Lost or Find Yourself. Sway Camping is a private, Off Grid camping experience in Rock Island TN. Situated between Isha Yoga center, Fall Creek Falls, and Rock Island state park, this property is something special. Each campsite offers a private space perfect for getting away, or large enough for family and groups. Pet Friendly property with lots of room to be a part of nature along the beautiful Rocky River. Camp along the river or up in your own private forest. One of the darkets skies around so be ready for some stargazing at night by the fire. This is a property I purchased in 2018 to create a camping experience that reflected the image of camping as a kid. This isn’t a "hotel without walls." This is real camping. No phone signal. No electric wires. Just nature and beauty in a quiet environment. Get lost or find yourself relaxing along the Rocky River. Stay in a hammock, a tent, camper, RV, or one of our cabins. Privacy and freedom is what we are about. Pet friendly camping that should be shared, but please don't tell everyone you know. Only your favorite people.. Then come camp!

River Camping

Great, Private Camping!

Favorite campsite I’ve ever visited! Wonderful creek to wash up literally right next to the campsite. Could technically hear the other campers occasionally, but literally never saw them which is just awesome for a campsite. 10/10 recommend👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Site 1 - Sway Camps

Blend in with Nature

First time camping here and I loved it. Chris is a great host. Good communication. He kept in touch till I arrive. I lost T Mobile service about 15 mins before reaching but I had clear instructions from Chris so I didn't get lost. And I did not want the phone to bother me anyway. So it worked perfectly. If you are expecting 5 start hotel l luxury this is not the place for you but if you want to go and blend in with the Nature - this is 10 stats then. The river was bit dry but still beautiful. Have a relaxing walk along the river and enjoy the swing - Let your inner child come out and play. I wasn't sure if the camping spot I booked is the right one for me - first time here - Chris was so understanding and helpful. He was kind enough to show me a couple of other options and let me chose where I want to camp. Nearest store is 10 mins away. Nearest town is less than 30 mins where you'll find restaurants and everything. You'll have your own area with enough privacy for yourself. There were other campers but I didn't see anyone - except a couple who just came in. Saw then while they were heading to their spot then they disappeared. I enjoyed my time here away from all and I'm already making plans on camping here again.

Star Field

Open space and very close to the Isha Temple. Chris was a gracious host and very kind with a positive energy. The only thing to mention is the cost. This may be the most expensive campsite in Tennessee.

Naturalist Camping

Chris’ land is a fantastic place to camp. The sites are quiet, secluded, and beautiful. Our site was a leisurely five minute walk to the creek that passes through the area. There are plenty of places to dip in the cool water and lots of huge boulders scattered around to relax and sunbathe on. We camped in a small stand of pines that afforded us a ton of room for our site. The location is far enough away from light pollution that stargazing from the close by field was a wonderful experience.
