40 acres Located in beautiful Dover TN 5 miles from Lake Barkley & the Cumberland River. Conveniently located a few miles from town, far enough that it is quiet, but close enough that it is not a long trip to town. The property features a variety of thriving wildlife due to our fresh water stream that gently flows through the property year round. The stream is roughly ankle to hip deep depending on the area. The water is crystal clear and safe to play in if you have little ones. Walk along the stream and discover all kinds of fish, turtles, beautiful river stones and possibly see a beaver or 2. If you have Archery equipment, you can use our Archery Range. The property is split by a 2 lane road. 7 acres to the North and 33 acres to the South. The smaller side is flat with many trails, fresh water stream and a gravel road. It features relatively junior trees and is home to a family of Whitetail Deer. The Southern side of the property features a mature hardwood forest full of giant white oak trees. Be sure to put on your hiking boots though, because there's a few Hills to climb. Three hills that form a beautiful valley in the center, with another fresh waterstream. The valley was once home to a 1700s settlement, so you may find some artifacts. (We just ask that you leave them where you find them.) Main trails are marked clearly with large reflectors for safety. With the near-by wildlife refuge you are sure to see and hear a variety of wildlife. We have large steel firepits in every campsite. So feel free to bring your own firewood! Enjoy a good book or nap while relaxing in a hammock. Swing with a loved one while over looking the fresh water stream. Walk down along the stream and collect rocks, feed the fish, or go for a dip! Currently our property is very Primative, whichever there is no electricity or plumbing. We do offer clean composting toilets & a locking gate at night for your security. **Cellular service is limited in some areas. Signal can be found by the road, or cross the road and take the trail up the 1st hill**

Fern Brook Nashville

This 37-acre timber farm was once part of a huge plantation owned by one of the first settlers in Tennessee. It is now registered and part of a Timber Forestry program with many old-growth trees (Tulip Poplars are Tennessee's state tree and there are some big ones here). There are steep hills and creeks weaving throughout this property. I love coming out here and escaping the city as you feel like you are deep in the woods yet still close to Nashville, Hendersonville, Old Hickory Lake and I-65. This property is surrounded by hundreds of acres of timberland which accounts for all the wildlife in the area. Learn more about this land: Pitch your tent, hang your hammock, or camp in your vehicle and listen to the year-round spring-fed streams. Feel like you are in the middle of nowhere, but know that you are still an Uber/Lyft ride away from downtown Nashville. You are also close to everything in Hendersonville, White House, Goodlettsville, and Old Hickory Lake. 1.5 miles from one of my favorite coffee shops, Authentic Coffee Co., and a handful of local restaurants (White House Pizza is a great one too and not far away). This campsite is on a 37-acre tract in the Timber Forestry program so it is all mature trees, hills, and creeks. More info on the property: There are nice year-round creeks so you'll always have water. Plenty of firewood laying around from fallen branches and limbs. Please don't cut into any live trees though. Each site is clearly marked and has a designated area. Please try to stay around your campsite out of respect for other campers. Each site has plenty of space. Don't be surprised to see animals, beautiful birds, and all kinds of wildlife. You'll also hear the woods come alive at night, especially the frogs during the spring and summer. The Owls are my favorite though. Details on the sites: There are 2 campsites close enough should you want to book multiple sites with a group, but far enough away where you will not be disturbed. Campsite #1 is the first campsite which is tucked in between two large hills right alongside a creek. Campsite #2 is a little further back in the property alongside the creek. This is slightly more open and right on the creek as well. Both sites have plenty of good spots for a tent or hammock. You can drive and park at both sites as long as you have decent ground clearance (Examples of vehicles that have stayed: Toyota Highlander, Honda CRV, Subaru Outback, Jeeps). Many cars including a Toyota Prius have also made it back though. I am constantly improving these campsites so expect tables, shovels, and all kinds of things to make your camping more enjoyable. There will also be new campsites coming soon, including an off-grid tiny cabin, and primitive sites that would require a hike to access. Please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions. Great for family or group campouts) or Artist Retreat. Ample parking but the listing says 2 because the tent occupancy listed is 4. Southern Nectar Farm was a small working farm dating back to the early 1900s. It is believed that around 1920 the owners of the farm purchased and relocated a log school building which they reconstructed and repurposed as their home. It still stands today and is currently under renovation. Neglected for many years the farm and its improvements are getting some needed attention.Learn more about this land:Come Pitch your tent in our primitive camp nestled in a natural wooded area filled with Cedar and other native Tennessee trees. A clearing provides a great pastoral view of cattle and deer with beautiful hills in the background. Feel free to enjoy a campfire in the fire ring and some hiking around the recently cut trails. Also be sure to enjoy the 22 mile view from the top of the hill. The log cabin at the entrance to the property is under renovation. Originally constructed around 1800 it is believed to be the original Greenvale school. It was relocated to our farm around 1920 and repurposed as a home. When you arrive at Southern Nectar Farm please park near the cabin and walk through the gate directly behind the cabin to your campsite. Historic Downtown Murfreesboro and the Stones River (Civil War) National Battlefield are about 20 minutes south. Lebanon is about 20 minutes north. The Nashville Superspeedway is 20 minutes west. Downtown Nashville is 50 minutes west. Percy Priest Lake and Cedars of Lebanon State Park are also nearby.

Located in a quiet, pristine valley, adjacent to the Natchez Trace State Park twenty miles southwest of Nashville, Tennessee, 2500 acres of forested land was purchased to protect the biodiversity of this quickly developing region. Big East Fork is a preserved natural space dedicated to connecting people to Tennessee's beautiful wilderness. Ten private parcels were cobbled together, originally built as private residences and farmstead. All houses are available for rent and camping sites are located near by. Twenty miles of hiking trails wind throughout the forest, leading campers by the lake, creeks, and seasonal and perennial small waterfalls.
