Camping near Pine Ridge

Pine Ridge camping leads to epic adventures in the rugged expanse of the state's southwestern region. Badlands National Park is 45 minutes from Pine Ridge. Its striking geological formations and vast prairies offer campers a glimpse into a stark, otherworldly landscape. The park's campgrounds include both primitive tent sites and year-round RV sites with basic amenities that can fit vehicles up to 18 feet in length. Spend nights stargazing and days exploring an extensive network of hiking trails. A little farther away is Wind Cave National Park, known for one of the world's longest and most complex caves. Camping areas here have flush toilets and drinking water near the park’s subterranean wonders and surface-level hikes. Black Hills National Forest is a great last stop. It encompasses over 1.2 million acres of forested hills and mountains. Stay at campgrounds with on-site hosts, first-come, first-served RV sites with restrooms and warming huts, or in one rustic, former fire-lookout cabin rental for groups up to 10—all within the ponderosa pine forest.
