We were fulltime RV'ers for 5 years; we traveled all across the United States before we settled in the beautiful Black Hills of South Dakota. We decided to build the vacation site that we always wanted, but could never find.
We have 50/30/15 amp FHU's (despite what HipCamp says). We have two large, level RV spots with 50 feet between the two sites.
We have created an environment for our guests to enjoy peaceful relaxation while staying with us. We offer amazing sunsets, sunrises, wild turkey, song birds, deer and amazing Black Hills landscapes to help you enjoy your stay in this beautiful area.
We have 4 beautiful horses that adorn our landscape. We hope you enjoy watching them, but please don't feed them. We also have hiking trails and a community bonfire available for our guests to use. Well-behaved pets are welcome!

Highland Meadows Resort sits on 12.5 acres atop a private mesa in Hot Springs, South Dakota. The resort features four private cabins, two glamping tipis, and an earth home on the upper mesa — and a campground on the lower mesa.
Tipis are equipped with a king-size bed, sleeper sofa, and basic kitchenette. There's a shared wood fire pit, laundry facilities, horseshoe pit, and a private bath w/ shower for each tipi. Tipis also come with a pack and play for one extra infant/toddler. Kitchenettes come with a microwave, mini-fridge, coffee maker, and some basic place settings.
The campground has several tent and RV sites, each with their own fire pit, picnic table, and power. The campground has a common area for larger gatherings and flush toilets with sinks. There are several water spigots in the campground as well: two near the restrooms and one at each RV site.
Highland Meadows Resort is located near The Mammoth Site, Wind Cave, Cold Brook Reservoir, and local hot springs. It's a short drive from Custer State Park and Mount Rushmore.

We love staying at stagecoach, beautiful spot, gorgeous sunsets horses all around along with deer and other critters centrally located, but we still felt off the beaten track. The host were really awesome and so helpful. It’s a beautiful place.

We loved our stay at Stagecoach! The hosts seemed always available but never in your way. The location was perfect for us to explore all things the black Hills have to offer. We enjoyed the location so much we extended our stay. Close enough to Hot Springs if you need anything but far enough to enjoy peace and quiet.Site was super clean and level, power,water and dump all at your site. What more could you ask for,

We had such a great stay at Stagecoach Stays! The sites are large, level, full hook-up, and easy to access — perfect for big rigs like ours. The location is ideal, close to everything in the area but still peaceful and quiet. Clark and Shelley are incredible hosts — so welcoming, helpful, and genuinely kind. Their property is beautiful with plenty of room to roam, and we loved meeting their friendly horses! It’s the perfect home base for exploring the area. Highly recommend and we’ll definitely be back!

We loved staying here with our trailer! The hosts were so friendly and kind. They helped our children say hello to the horses safely and spent quite a bit of time helping us with a malfunctioning water heater. The land is beautiful, pristine, and calm, and the star viewing experience at night is phenomenal. Thanks for having us!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Stagecoach Stays! Shelley and Clark were warm, welcoming, and incredibly responsive hosts. They were truly top-tier customer service from start to finish. The property is beautiful, peaceful, and surrounded by nature. We felt completely safe and right at home. Their horses were lovely to watch, and we saw wild turkeys and deer throughout our stay. It was such a refreshing connection to wildlife!
The location is also perfect for exploring the region: just minutes from downtown Hot Springs, a short drive to Wind Cave National Park, and only 40 minutes to both the Black Hills National Forest and Crazy Horse Memorial. Mount Rushmore is just about an hour away, making this spot a fantastic hub for day trips.
We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would absolutely stay here again. Highly recommended!

We were so excited to find full hookups that were not in a crowded camping ground. It was quiet and peaceful, we were directed to some trails on the property for an afternoon hike, and it was close to town. The hosts were fantastic. We would definitely stay again if we are in the area.

Beautiful level spot. 10 minute drive to Wind Cave. Great place for a basecamp for Wind Cave, Badlands, and Mt. Rushmore. Had everything we needed. Would stay again if ever in the area.
Hosts were very helpful. They even helped with our Jeep that needed grease in the bearings.

Loved staying at this site. We were on a trip with my family to see the National Parks. It was perfect for us. We used the 2 RV sites and 1 apartment - 1 family tent camped, 1 was in a trailer, and 1 stayed in an apartment. The covered patio of the apartment was the right size for our group of 10 to have shade and eat together. Plenty of space to throw a football and have the kids run around.
Hosts were friendly and helpful.
