Weekend Trip to Cathy's Corner at Marlow

Catherine was very accommodating. The water, electricity and outdoor shower worked well. Our spot was flat. The dogs barked when we got there but were quiet throughout our stay. The noise from the road could get loud but did not bother us at all with our airconditioner on. 30 minute drive to Savannah

Nicole’s farm is a true delight. Close off 95 yet a world away. Meet Rupert the barn cat, Hammie and Moe the pig couple, Elwood and Baby Spaz kids to Papa Spaz and Mama goat. Don’t be surprised to receive a visit from the free range donkeys. Electric and Water hookups literally “under the oaks”. We loved Nicole’s so much we cancelled our return reservation heading back north so that we could stay “Under the Oaks” one more time. It will always be a stop for us when we travel through Yemassee.

My husband was working in the area and didn’t want to stay in a hotel, so I found him this spot. The booking process was quick and Chad was so responsive. The property was so cute and had everything that was needed. My husband loved it so much he FaceTimed me to show me around the property and camper. I can’t wait to visit it myself.

We absolutely loved the laid back feel and visiting with the goats, chickens and Turkey! Hosts were friendly and helpful while maintaining privacy.

1 night at Simply Green Farm

Roy’s campsite is on the edge of a very pretty marsh behind his blackberry farm beds and greenhouse. He is a really nice fellow and easy to communicate with. It’s a bit of a windy road going in by Google maps so get good directions. I had a peaceful night. Only problem was the jets from nearby marine base are a bit loud when they fly over which is only a problem if your dog is sensitive to sound like mine.

So quiet and a very peaceful setting! Hard to believe it is so close to downtown Savannah! Best deal in town too! If you don’t like being in a cozy space, it is not for you!

It’s a really nice property. It’s located close to I95, Savannah and Charlston. The Bathroom/shower facilities are a welcome relief. The property also has some animals to visit with and enjoy during your stay.

Nicole was such a gracious hostess. She introduced us to the goats and mini pigs which was great fun. It was very quiet and well maintained. Will be back every time we come through the area!

Great place to stay! The animals really were friendly, the ducks and chickens came right up to our trailer! We had a little trouble following the directions given to find our campsite in the dark, but the host came out and helped us.

This was our 2nd time staying here and we can't wait to be back again. It's the perfect place if you love animals, gorgeous oak trees with Spanish moss, clean, private bathrooms, laundry, and convenience off 95. Nichole is the best host. Rupert the barn kitty is our favorite of all the animals! The baby goats were so precious too. Don't sleep on this hipcamp

Very accommodating, spacious lots, quiet area and dog friendly. There are some roosters but they weren't that bad. Overall very happy with our stay and all went very smooth. Very much will be staying here again and would recommend

Tony is a descendant of those family members whose foresight allowed us to be here today. Edenhope Farms is nestled on 6 acres and is a sanctuary for rescued and unique animals. We have a Zebu bull, which are the oldest recorded bovine in history, dating back to the Bible. We have goats and peacocks, chickens, a potbellied pig, rescued squirrels, and rescued ducks. Soon to come.... Sheep!!! My property used to be the disposal site for the CocaCola bottling Company. Go on a scavenger hunt and find old bottles. Relax around the fire pit and listen to owls, wild geese, bull frogs and the Quack Pack. Lounge on the spacious deck overlooking all the farm animals or take a dip in the swimming pool. At night grill on the BBQ or have an oyster roast. We do have an indoor toilet for you to use and an outdoor shower. Go for a walk through the woods, do yoga, head to Hunting Island beach which is 10 miles or drive 3 miles to historic downtown Beaufort. We are also close to Parris Island and many other historical sites. While here you can enjoy historical tours of Beaufort County’s earliest years of the Santa Helena colony in the mid 1600’s, the revolutionary war period, the pre-civil war and plantation time period and the antebellum, reconstruction history up to the Civil Rights visits of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. at the Historic Penn Center. The Lowcountry is great for water sports, kayaking, boating, jet skiing, sailing, hiking and canoeing. Each season offers an opportunity to participate in fishing, crabbing, shrimping or digging for oysters in local waters. Our area is a favorite of cyclist groups, the long, flat, rural, scenic, roads offer pleasant riding experiences for cyclist of all ability levels. There are bike lanes on many of the major roads. Other recreational activities in our area are geocaching, horseback riding, tennis, golf, hiking, beach volleyball, beachcombing, and birdwatching. There are a few special events throughout the year, Gullah Festival-May, Water Festival-July, Shrimp Festival-October, Beaufort Food Truck Festival-October, Soft Shell Crab Festival-April, Pat Conroy Festival-November, Heritage Days Festival-November, Night on the Town-December. There’s something for everyone. COME VISIT!!!
