We have an absolutely gorgeous 12 acres of mostly wooded and/or lakefront land on the West end of Lake Murray (Saluda River). Me, my wife, and three kids live and work on a 20 acre forest nestled in the backwaters of Lake Murray. Behind Prices Bridge, we have what nature lovers refer to "OH MY GAWD"... Our land forms a peninsula, which is very private, secluded, and SAFE. If you want to refresh, recharge or spend quality time with family or friends, we'd love to host you. *Prices Bridge being a low bridge also means if you bring a large boat you may need to use the marina or any of the free boat launches within a mile of our site... kayaks, canoes, john boats all fit under. :-)

You can also look out the kitchen window while making your coffee and watch the horses graze. If you are interested we have farm tours and horse grooming opportunities available. These are extra so be sure to let us know in advance if you are interested. We do have a fire pit on the property that you are welcome to use, as well as a charcoal grill. You are responsible for bringing your own charcoal, lighters, etc. If you need wood bundles please let us know. We are located appx 20 minutes from Lake Thurmond and several well-known golf courses. The entire property is a no-smoking zone. This includes cigarettes, vape pens, etc. This is also a non-drinking zone. No alcohol of any kind is allowed on the premises. These rules are set in place for the safety of my family and my animals. Please let us know if there is anything you need before your arrival and we do our best to accommodate you. For your convenience there is a Dollar General located one mile down the road. We look forward to having you as our guests!

Our clothing optional farm offers access to sandy roads for riding horses and 4 wheelers, a sand pit is also close by for some exciting 4 wheeler action. Our travel trailer is situated next to the house but offers a private refuge. Pets are allowed but we have livestock guardian dogs so they must be leashed. The trailer sports a queen memory foam mattress and full amenities with accommodations for other sleepers on fold outs. There is a fire pit in our front yard and option of propane pit for the canopy area by the trailer. Guests are welcome to experience small farm life, we have chickens, of course, turkeys Jacob Sheep, Kunekune pigs and 4 Central Asian Sheppard LDG's and plenty of fresh garden raised food. In summer months we can and freeze dry our foods as well as local peaches, strawberries, blue berries and make Muscadine wine. Lakes, hiking, Revolutionary War sites are all close by for your outdoor adventures. Bring you wheeler/dirt bike and horses and see what the Midlands of SC has to offer.

The peace and even healing that can occur from spending time in nature has hugely impacted our lives-- so much so that we wanted to create a space for others to enjoy as well. This cozy retreat is nestled into the woods overlooking our spring-fed pond on our 9.5 acre homestead. While the location is only minutes away from bike trails, walking paths by the river, and our local downtown restaurants/ shops, our unique space on our property makes you feel as though you have escaped into the mountains. We are thrilled for you to enjoy the beauty of our land. Enjoy kicking back around a cozy campfire in our fire pit on the deck, or follow the trail to the spring-fed pond for fishing, canoeing or swimming. We also have provided an eno hammock for your use!

Weekend Trip to Hesed Homestead

We loved our trip. The hosts went above and beyond to have us have a comfortable stay. I have two toddlers, and it rained a majority of our trip, but would you believe that they set up a busy box for our toddlers so that they could have activities to do inside the camper?? So generous. The bed was comfortable, the hot water was piping hot, the string lights were perfect. We really had no complaints. It was very quiet and relaxing! We had a great time. Highly recommend. We will be back!!!!

Weekend Trip to Hesed Homestead

We enjoyed our stay at this secluded RV sight! What we loved ❤️ The RV was CLEAN and so cute! ❤️ Clean sheets, towels, and water bottles were provided ❤️ Directions were clear ❤️ Jessie’s communication was great ❤️ That beautiful sunrise view ❤️The AC is fabulous ❤️ We were alone and totally unbothered during our stay ❤️ Lovely bird sounds in the morning ❤️ All the little reading lights inside the RV were very helpful ❤️ The lawn chairs were quite comfy for watching the sunrise ❤️Affordable price Some side notes •There were a few little gnats/bugs in the bathroom but that didn’t bother us •I had read about their spring-fed pond and the possibility for swimming and kayaking, sadly, their kayaks don’t exist anymore due to Helene and I don’t really recommend swimming in the pond—it was very muddy and warm (we tried) If there is some way they could make the pond nicer, it could be a big perk Overall would 100% recommend to a friend!

1 night at Hesed Homestead

Great experience. This RV was clean and comfortable. You can tell that Jessie has put alot of care and love into making this RV a special place for her guests. Bed linens and clean towels are provided. I enjoyed sitting by the firepit and relaxing. The homeowners are far enough away that the RV feel private but they are just a phone call away if you need them. The homeowners were kind enough to come show me how to work the heat. The property is quiet and peaceful. I would certainly stay here again.
