Weekend Trip to Owls nest private camp

We had a wonderful camping trip to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary! We set up our tent right in front of the lake. The wildlife and scenery were breathtaking. This was my favorite campsite so far! William was a very kind host.

We loved the camping location. The place was quiet and serene. We were close to the fishing lake and had a lot of fun catching some good sized bass and panfish. That was the highlight of the trip. We had to leave early due to plan changes but we plan to come back. We are booking again next month!

It rained and our suv struggled up the muddy road to the site but we eventually made it there was lots of firewood and it was quite secluded we kayaked that was cool - he let us borrow two of them 5 stars

This site and host are both terrific. The night sky is so clear and the moonlight is brilliant. Evenings were just chilly enough for a fire and then a warm sleeping bag. I’ll be back there again soon.💯

Such a beautiful place to camp!! The view of the lake in the morning was gorgeous, and my boyfriend loved fishing on the canoe (there are some big ones in there!) I picked this spot because it was within driving distance to a few great mountain hikes and waterfalls, dog-friendly, with a bathroom & shower. The building is in-progress but it also has a kitchen and space indoors to hang out. William, Kord, & Amy were awesome and stayed nearby if we needed anything- even supplied us with some extra firewood both nights (thank you!!)

April is always the ideal host, She made our day Sunday by bringing her new baby goat, Charlie (maybe) for a visit. “Room Service” always results in hot, fresh, delicious breakfast. I highly encourage everyone to add her breakfast offer. After two clear nights with a full moon and stargazing, the trip couldn’t have been better. Thank you April. See you again soon!
