No pump out, no electricity or running water for “sites” yet, if ever, but running water is here and available for free. Additions to come soon: outdoor shower, available compost toilet available for rent while here, fresh herbs, vegetables, fresh local eggs, firewood, and covered gathering/ cooking area (not built yet) and much more, I’m really excited. Open to idea’s and options. No fireworks/ gunfire allowed at anytime, no “parties”, but gatherings, campfires, games and fun always welcome. I prefer meeting guests apon arrival to answer any questions and help all feel comfortable. I do have medical conditions that may prohibit it at times though.

Come enjoy your stay bring a kayak or canoe and float around the 6 acres of ponds and catch some of the many bass, bream or crappie that occupy the waters. The property is located 7 miles off highway 74/76 in Whiteville and 10 miles to Lake Waccamaw, 32 miles to Ocean Isle Beach, 45 miles to Wilmington, 36 miles to North Myrtle Beach. There are two orchards framing the field and property lines. This is an undeveloped rural property, there are currently to amenities. We have cut out a camping (RV or tent) in the woods on the edge of the field. The shaded spot is enclosed with dog fencing and gated with two rear exits into the woods. This means that you can pull in your camper, or car with tent equipment, close the gate and lets your dogs out. They two can experience some nature in a safe manner. This is something you cannot get in many places. There is a fire ring and firewood, table and 2 chairs. Lavender blooms in spring and summer and attracts many butterflies. The fruiting orchards will start producing fruit in 2024. Please know that this is our home away from home and our future retirement income. Please respect it and leave no trace of your presence. We are happy to share it with you. If you are in a RV/Travel Trailer, there is Bass Lake Campground right on the I95 exit for Dillon that offer water, dump station and propane for your needs. The wildlife is abundant, and although the deer ruin our row covering, we still like having them around and are creating food plots for them at the rear of the property to draw them away from the field (fingers crossed). I spent a few days here in early December and just extended for the next month. It’s a charming, rural spot with full amenities at all sites, bathrooms including showers, washer and dryer. Pet friendly with trails to take my dog for a walk. Will and Lorie have been exceptionally kind and welcoming and came to check on me during a recent cold spell. Very safe and private. There’s a nearby mobile rv technician, Mike the RV Medic who helped me repair my furnace and was very professional. Very reasonable rates for everything being offered. I highly recommend!

My 4th time visiting Joseph’s camp and hopefully not the last. This space could easily be a dozen campsites but you get the entire site to yourself! This time we got to enjoy s’mores by the campfire and test our new tent. If you visit on a clear night and the moon is full you don’t even need a flashlight to see outside. Perfect area for letting the dog run also!

Weekend Trip to Isla Mas Afuera

We loved camping at scott’s spot!! he was extremely considerate from the moment we pulled in, he even had treats and a ball ready for our pups the spot is tucked behind on his land and could adjust to small/big families and had everything we needed for tent camping (plus more) and he even surprised us with eggs from his chicken to cook for breakfast. the area is both away from the hustle and bustle but also close enough to the beach and food. overall, super generous man who we can tell loves company, we could have sat and talked to him for hours but unfortunately we were short on time, thanks for everything you did for us, scott!!

We had a great time! I do recommend bringing some wasp spray with you, they like to hide in the docks railing. Little ones will have a great time fishing with all the “baby fish” swimming right near the dock.

From the moment we arrived we felt like we were right at home. They meet us when we pulled in and showed us to our site, texted that night to be sure everything was ok. They even came out to introduce themselves and let us know that if we needed anything don't hesitate to call. Very pleasant people. The campground was neat and clean and wet loved seeing the cows, horses and donkeys out in the fields. I would recommend this campground to anyone and everyone. Absolutely wonderful place and people.
