It is run as a small non-profit animal sanctuary and is home to rescued chickens, goats, and pigs, as well as two humans and their dog and cat companions. The main property is fenced in, with a large back field great for tent camping, and an orchard to explore that can also double as hammock camping. There is parking for cars and bikes. We try to minimize our impact on the environment as much as possible, and encourage our guests to compost, recycle, and dispose of waste accordingly. Please note we have dogs, including a Livestock Guardian Dog that does bark to alert us of new people and warn off would be predators. I know this is listed as an RV spot but it’s also a great tent spot & car camping area as well. Been here a few times and will be back again. Private, safe and scenic, what else could you ask for. Theres also a clean porta potty on site and an epic, natural stone firepit.

We had such a wonderful stay at this campsite! The host was incredibly accommodating and always quick to respond! She was amazing! It made the whole experience feel easy and welcoming from start to finish. We brought our two kids and our German Shepherd!
The campsite was peaceful, clean, and thoughtfully set up. It was also great because it was super close to stores and restaurants as well. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and we would happily come back again. Highly highly recommend for families and dog owners! 🏕️🐾✨

KSJoy’s property was as described and a nice spot to hang out for a couple of days before the busy holiday season kicks in. Full electric hookup. No water this time of year (was just shut off last week). Nice area. Drove around. Followed the host’s recommendations for local food. Great advice! Had our four dogs with us. The property is close to a fairly busy road so having good recall (or we brought a fencing system) is essential. The road noise Fri-Sun in mid Nov. was not an issue. The host was very communicative and answered all questions but was hands off which we liked. Highly recommend.

It was very nice, very well located and the hosts are so kind. Got welcomed with a glass of wine, cannot be better!

Weekend Trip to Camp Newportant
Jim and Amy’s spot might not be the traditional Hipcamp setting (it’s in their driveway) but it’s the perfect place to explore Newport if you’re in an RV. Just park and you’re a short walk to downtown and the water with easy access to drive the famous Ocean Drive. And as hosts, you won’t find any better. Experts on the area/history and always willing to assist with anything you need…and don’t miss out on the campfire experience in the backyard—it’s a great hang!

Justin and Amy are very friendly and responsive to any questions. They give very detailed instructions before arrival. The campsite is peaceful and comes with so many amenities, packing was so easy. Getting an add on of a cooler full of ice was so great, the ice lasted the whole time we were there!

I was in Kristina’s driveway spot for two nights . It’s a very safe location and she was nice but, it’s a driveway spot to park in nothing more.
It was close to Newport and that fit my needs.

Perfect if you live around hartford and want a quick getaway spot. Very acominating. Private but not far from food, beaches, and shopping. We got there when it was dark out so it was helpful that all we needed to do was set up the tent, they had everything else you could need there.

We enjoyed staying at KSJoy's land. It was exactly as described. You can hear some road noise due to the closeness of the road but because of the home on the property, it's still very private. Our dogs enjoyed being off leash and there was a good amount of room for them to roam around. If in the area we would not hesitate to stay again.

We had such a great summer at this spot. We started out booking a short trip and were going to bounce around to different spots, but ended up reaching back out and staying all summer. It is a perfect quiet spot, close to so many great things to do, and even though we had to pack up every so often to pump out at a close RV park, we were happier at this spot than we would have been at the area RV parks. It was more shaded and quiet than we would have at a park and better proximity to enjoy beaches from Westport to Newport. We'll be back!

We loved tent camping at the stonewall site!! Our hosts were incredibly understanding about a late arrival, and were quick to get back to us regarding any questions we had. The land was absolutely beautiful and we spent hours on the pond paddling around in the canoe, and fishing. The camping site itself was spacious, and yes you can hear some road noise but it absolutely fades away into the background after a short while. 100% will be back, and would reccomend.

Despite being right off of the highway, the site was very quiet and felt incredibly private as well! The fire pit was lovely, and our host was very responsive to questions over messages, and I'd absolutely consider staying here again.
