We are located in beautiful Clearfield county Pennysalvina. Our farm is on over 150 acres. It’s has been in the family for generations. It has beautiful farm views with wooded areas. There is lots of wildlife to see. Including bear, bobcat, deer, eagles, fishers, and many other species. We have lots of hiking trails and our property also boarders state game lands. It’s a short drive to the Susquehanna River and other parks. You can also enjoy the cows, goats, peacocks, chickens, ducks, and turkeys at the farm. Nearby is Bilgers Rocks, Rock Run Atv Park, Prince Gallitzin State Park, the Susquehanna River, and many other fantastic outdoor activities. It’s a place to unwind and relax. And connect with nature. This is in a very rural part of Pennsylvania and camping in the winter weather can be difficult. So please prepare yourself with additional sleeping bags for winter. The tent is heated but because of the unpredictable and sometimes dangerous weather you need to be prepared. The bathroom is also outdoors so there will not be a shower provided till after the freezing weather. And the loo is not heated. It is also recommended that you have all wheel drive or 4 wheel drive to get to the campsite in the winter. It is possible to walk from road to site. But you should consider this when booking. RTR is a very beautiful place in the winter but it can also be dangerous if you’re not prepared.

This riverfront, fully equipped, beautifully crafted treehouse is not your average child's treehouse, but kids are certainly welcome. Walk up the easy 14 steps into this A Frame tiny house and you'll be surprised at the roominess. Inside you'll discover a full kitchen, full bathroom with shower, living area with sofa bed sectional, dining area, and loft with a queen bed. Step out on the deck, just a stone's throw from the river and listen to the sounds below of the gurgling moving water over the rocks. Move down below the treehouse to find another huge deck with a hot tub, relaxing seating, and a table for dining outside. But that's not all; step off that deck to a fire pit and steps leading to the river. The river is great for swimming, fishing, and boating and we even supply a canoe and kayaks.
Much of the treehouse was built with wood from the property, including the poplar floor joists, rafters, and siding. Inside you'll find several different species of beautiful wood, most from the property, including black walnut, oak, ash, cherry, and more. The two giant Tulip Poplar trees that supports the treehouse continue to grow and in the early summer produce the tulip like flowers.
If you're up for exercise or adventure, just across the river is the H&BT Bike Trail, which is now 14 miles long. A short drive takes you to a trailhead or if you're just looking for a hike on the trail, canoe across and climb up the short hill to the trail. Also across the river is a 2600 acre Pennsylvania State Game Land and 2000 foot high Kimber Mountain; if you're looking for a challenging and primitive hike, climb the mountain or work your way up Kimber Run, a small brook with many small waterfalls. Adventure abounds near Treehouse Waters.
There are also many other things to do in Bedford and Huntington Counties. The Raystown Lake is less than 20 miles away and the county seat, the small, charming town of Bedfrod is also only 20 miles away. Take a look at the Bedfrod County Tourist site for more activities.

Seven Feathers has 6.5 acres with several wildflower and herb gardens, along with a small fruit Orchard! Our property is close to Allegheny River access with a local boat ramp in Reesdale, and a fishing pier at Lock 8. From here, you can take the locks all the way to Pittsburgh.
Several ATV trails have easy access because you can legally ride on the township roads! A lot of wildlife to see, including deer, bear, fox, coyote, several bird species, and bald eagles. We're close to State Gamelands for hunting. You're welcome to eat any fruit that has ripened here during your stay.
The miles of ATV trails are also fun to hike or ride your horse on. Campfires allowed, leashed pets allowed, must be leashed at all times, dogs, cats, and horses. Bring your pets! There is a spring with potable water on the property. Beautiful sunsets here, plus an amazing view across Reesdale Road. You might catch a rainbow too if it rains! Our personal favorite view is the vast nighttime sky. Perfect place for stargazers. Watch the beautiful sunrises and "moon-rises" over the tree tops.
You can run generators anytime, but please be considerate of other campers. Very Private location. There is a bar/restaurant close by in Adrian. It's 10 miles to downtown Kittanning, where festivals and concerts in the park are held, plus more restaurants, stores, and rails to trails for bike riders. There are fishing ponds and large glacial rock formations nearby.
Tours to the places mentioned can be scheduled for a fee if we're available. We will have a small map of the area with places marked. You're welcome to cut and use fallen trees. Please don't bring firewood from other counties due to the spread of diseases and destructive insects. Welcome to Seven Feathers, where you can just relax or partake in the recreational activities. A beautiful and serene landscape, Donnie's small but ample farm backdrop was inviting and welcoming. The off-grid cabin set back in the woods was very private and nestled, with a cool evening temperature because of the wooded canopy. I recommend keeping the "screen" door open to fall asleep to the sounds of crickets.

Bruce’s place exceeded our expectations! The treehouse was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The riverfront location was the highlight—our family spent hours swimming, fishing, canoeing, and floating. Evenings around the campfire making s’mores and cooking steaks over the fire made for unforgettable memories, and the hot tub overlooking the river was the perfect way to end the day. The treehouse itself was comfortable, with a well-stocked kitchen, a cozy loft bedroom, and beautiful views from every window. It felt private and peaceful while still having everything we needed. If you’re looking for a quiet escape surrounded by nature, this is the perfect spot. We can’t wait to come back!

Ridge Top Retreat is a fantastic peaceful getaway in Appalachian farm country (thanks again for the farm tour, we loved the friendly goats). Rebecca has already thought of literally everything so that you don’t have to; odds are good that if you forgot it, it’s already covered. Amazing attention to detail, every last thing is cute, inviting, comfortable, and well thought out - you can tell that she genuinely cares about your visitor experience. The site itself offers a beautiful view of the countryside that you might see in a painting. The campfire is cozy with lots of tree canopy and comfortable even in light rain. Having ample firewood already on site makes it so much easier. Every one of the extras and amenities make all the difference (a hot shower is a BIG one). I would highly recommend anyone who wants a calm, safe, relaxing, and comfortable experience to have a visit.

The cabin was so sweet - cozy and comfortable. Appreciated the mood lighting and the outlets. There was a thunderstorm right as we arrived, and my dog and i enjoyed hanging out in the treehouse cabin , safe and dry, listening to the rain. The common area was set up nicely, and we enjoyed exploring the woods. Heed the info the hosts post about woodland wildlife. My dog dashed off after a deer on our morning hike, something he’s never done before.
We also enjoyed the pond, though we didn’t play there long. The hosts ask (very reasonably!) that people avoid disturbing the banks much but there was not an easy way for my dog to get out of the pond. He likes to retrieve a toy, so this requires many water entrances (easy) and exits (less easy), and once it became clear he was going to choose to trample on the banks during his exits, we had to stop playing.

Beautiful spot in the woods! We could hear the frogs singing all evening, it was so peaceful. We enjoyed our stay very much. The common area has all sorts of little thoughtful touches, and it was filled with all kinds of things you might have forgotten - Liam thought of everything!
We arrived late and it was already dark, and I was a little worried about getting there, but with Liam's mother's directions it was super easy. Well definitely be coming here again when we travel back through :)

The land is beautiful with lots of birds, different insects, deer, and other critters sure to be seen. Everything is clearly marked and labeled which makes the stay very easy. The cabin is perfect and super cozy, and the pool is always great. We love staying here!

We loved staying at the Star Lee Farm. The cabin was the perfect size for my husband and I. There was enough firewood for us to have a fire all day the one day and a few shorter ones as we needed other days. The walk to the outhouse was short and the views for that area to the surrounding mountains and trees was beautiful. The cabin was remote, we could see the other one through the trees if we tried but no one was staying there. They checked in via message a few times to make sure we didn’t need anything and restocked the bathhouse halfway through our stay. We were just a short drive from hiking at a state park which was great.

Richard is the best, most accommodating, communicative host. He went out of his way to get me what I needed. The site is as advertised, bring a good sleeping pad. I would go back in a heartbeat. He also has an RV if you need a mattress and on demand hot water. Definitely give Richard's site a stay!

Doug calls these two cabins “primitive” and they are in the sense of being rustic and basic but not in their construction and definitely not in terms of the customer service he and his family offer. The cabin I stayed in was clean, dry, warm, and offered me the protection I needed when an early Spring ride on the GAP from the C&O turned unexpectedly wet and cold. If you are in the need of a simple superb cabin to rest, stay, recharge, escape, or whatever the reason-I highly recommend these cabins right off of the GAP and very close to Cumberland. Doug and family have an amazing history with this land, take pride in their stewardship, and it shows!
