We are an active dairy farm in the rolling hills of Berks County, Pennsylvania. We take awesome sunrises and great star gazing for granted around here! Campsites are a 10-minute walk from the farm where all are welcome to interact with the animals or take a try at milking a cow. After all, you need milk and cream for breakfast!Its a ten minute drive to Blue Marsh Lake for Fishing, Biking, Hiking and Swimming. Its a 5 minute walk up to our Dairy Farm where you can visit with the cows and baby calves. There is a very nice view of Weiser's mountain. This site doesn't have any extra shelter and is only for tent camping.  There is a total of 4 listings in the one acre courtyard. The water source is shared by other people and also the port potty is shared with courtyard #3.

Sarah and Stein * Camp Blackbird is a 28 acre property that runs along Beltzville State Park in Carbon County, PA. So besides the camp, there is an additional 3,002-acres of state park to explore. There are a total of 2 sites. The land was vacant for decades and unfortunately used to dump household garbage during that time. We cleaned up the land, built a home and bat habitat. We, Sarah and Stein, always disliked renting a camp site somewhere and then ending up on top of people. So it was our goal to make space on our land for campers like us that want to be surrounded by nature, not other camp sites. A portion of the proceeds from your stay will be donated to bat habitat conservation and bat sanctuaries around the world. We are grateful for the hundreds of campers that have stayed with us. Thank you to all of you that have left a clean site and not made unnecessary noise that would disturb the countless species that share the forest with us. Also, Thank You for patronizing local businesses while you are here. We'll give you a map so you can see where to take a short walk to get to the lake. There are miles of hiking trails a few minutes walk from your campsite. Beltzville Lake is a great place for paddling. The boat launch is just a few minutes drive from Camp. In addition to the beautiful immediate surroundings, we are centrally located near many exciting destinations. Year round activities at Blue Mountain Resort, adventure on The Appalachian Trail, fine dining, biking the rail trail and whitewater rafting in Jim Thorpe, all within a 25 minute drive. The property is not suitable for parties or events. The area is a QUIET ZONE. Ideal for people looking to unplug from it all and become one with nature. It is teaming with wildlife and is ideal for birding. The hosts mission is to disturb wildlife and its habitats as little as possible. VERY IMPORTANT - NO PARTIES or unregistered guests on the property. There are other campgrounds in the area that are great for people who want to party. We welcome pets. Please add your photos! Absolutely beautiful dairy farm and we had the opportunity to take an impromptu hay ride with corn maze employees to check out the Christmas Village which amazing. “A little slice of Americana”. DJ and Loretta were super nice and let us explore the whole farm, talk to the all the cows. Even made a new friend Benny the cat who hung out with us at our campfire. 10/10 We will definitely be back!!!

We had a lovely time, the view is pretty. The bathroom and shower were nice and clean(water will take a few minutes to warm up don’t worry). Ground is pretty rocky so would definitely recommend having a hammer for stakes if tent camping. Each spot did have a picnic table and metal fire pit. We didn’t use any electric and if it were needed I assume there is a hookup closer to the bathrooms and would recommend setting up closer if electric is needed. Jim Thorpe wasn’t far and easily made it in town and also was easily able to get to AT trailhead for more beautiful sights.

We had a perfect fall Sunday followed by a rainy Monday that somehow made the cabin even better. Warm, quiet, and easy to settle into. Jennifer was kind and responsive, and everything felt thoughtful without trying too hard. We found and brought an old CD player, a crate of our old scratched mix CDs, and ended up listening by the fire, laughing at what used to be our favorite songs and what stuck. Turns out, that’s about as good as it gets. Highly recommend bringing a few of your own instant time machine.

Weekend Trip to Fluffy Butt Rescue Animal Sanctuary
We had a wonderful stay at Fluffy Butts! The campsite was easy to find and still felt secluded and very private. Rae pulled in right after we did while we were unloading our car. She was very warm and welcoming and offered to take us to meet the animals in the morning. It was a chilly fall, rainy night and the tent and bedding provided was very dry, clean and warm. Would definitely return!

We had a fabulous time. The kids found salamanders and all kinds of bugs! The woods and creek are a wonderland. We had rain one night, so instead enjoyed a delicious dinner at Cactus Grill to kill time. The set- up is perfect and secluded. We will be back!

Great campsite! Make sure you pitch on even ground, there’s a slight tilt to the property that you can avoid. Patricia’s space is great, the views of the mountains are gorgeous and it was easy to access from the road. Seven sirens brewing is right down the street as well, so you can stop by to grab some takeaways and chill around the campfire. She always provided wood complementary which let us enjoy the cool autumn night. Can’t wait to come back!

Idyllic, peaceful, unique spot! There’s 5 or so spots lined up at the top of the hill overlooking the valley. Plenty of space in between. Each site has a picnic table and fire place. As some of the other reviews noted, there is a resort nearby that has live music which you can hear. We had our own music on quietly so it didn’t bother us too much. The host was friendly and responsive. Great visit, we’d definitely go back if we’re out that way again!

Camp Nox was amazing! We had such a nice stay here, the campsite is clean, lots of shady area for when it’s too hot, and having a sink is such a plus. We went to the creek which is only a few minutes walk from the tent, the dogs loved it there. We’d love to visit again.

Fluffy butt rescue was an amazing stay. Rae was so gracious with her time and showing my two girls (11&8) around the farm. The tent and beds were comfortable and there was plenty of space for the three of us and ample privacy so we really felt secluded. The stream near the tent was a perfect “white noise” to fall asleep to. Thanks so much for our stay and we look forward to coming back!
