Play outside then rest inside. Our log cabin offers a classic feel with modern comforts. With three separate bedrooms and 8 beds, our cabin is great for couples, large families, hunters, fisherman, hikers, golfers, and friends looking to disconnect and reconnect! COVERED FRONT PORCH/LARGE YARD- The relaxing atmosphere of the creekside porch is a guest favorite. It provides lots of shade and that flowing creek sound! Drink coffee on the gliders and catch a glimpse of wildlife in the woods. From intense badminton matches to rounds of corn hole, this is the spot! There’s a small table for happy hour sips and snacks under the glow of the front porch string lights. The large firepit surrounded by the creek and trees bring guests together for cozy nights under the stars peeking through the tall pines. HUNTING/FISHING- The creek (Little Hickory Run) is stocked with trout in the spring! Our property is attached to 175 acres of public hunting land owned by Colins Pine logging company. The property and woods however are not set up for mini bikes, dirt bikes or ATVS and are not permitted to be ridden there. FIREWOOD-For now we are BYOW or purchase nearby at George’s Little Store in East Hickory on Route 62. There’s a cart and wheelbarrow provided to move wood right from your vehicle. I will contact guests if we decide to offer wood on site again. FULLY STICKED EAT-IN KITCHEN- The updated kitchen includes large pantry shelves because all you will need to bring is your food! I’ve got the rest covered. From the little amenities like spices and cooking spray to the Keurig and coffee pot; it’s stocked! Blender, crockpot, dishes for 11, pots and pans and more. There is a large table in the kitchen to gather around for game nights and meals. Or enjoy a picnic on our outside table. Gather your crew and set out on a new Pennsylvania Wilds adventure! Amazing. From the view of the fall leaves and the Allegheny, to how nice the cabin was, to having a chimnied fire pit. Everything was perfect,. We usually do primitive sites, but I figured we could go glamping for once, and it was beyond anything I could expect. Meghan was super accommodating and a really nice host as well. 11/10 we'll definitely be back!

Our little family stayed in one of the tents this past weekend and upon our arrival we found a spacious tent with all the amenities for an outside gathering, outdoor cooking, comfortable sleeping arrangements, and a separate game room. We were so impressed with the cleanliness, aesthetics, and personal touches that were left by the owners. Some shout outs: * We were given a separate heated bathroom with shower, sink, and toilet, and a personalized touch of our family name on a sign outside the door * A gathering area or hang out after hours with a fire cauldron * A coffee shop with specious coffee and chai lattes and reasonably priced breakfast options * Pickleball for our kids * Very kind and gracious hosts We will absolutely be back and recommend this as a place to visit to our friends and family!

We absolutely loved it! My husband’s from UT. Camping is his thing, not mine…but this was awesome. Well stocked camp site. Everything you need is there….and clean with a white duvet (my personal fav). Clean bathrooms, showers, a beach, bike trail, walking trails, waterfalls nearby…truly a nice weekend adventure. We’ll come again!

The farm was interesting, peaceful, and beautiful. The signs that described the permaculture activities were unobtrusive and insightful. There is a perfectly placed covered seating area in front of the gorgeous pond that provides a great area to watch the wildlife. The tiny house we stayed in and the bathhouse were clean and just what we needed. Recommend this stay, esp if you favor natural living off the land.

We spent one night at Alan & Chris’s bell tent and had the most wonderful time! The bell tent is cozy and durable (we stayed completely dry in a big storm). We enjoyed their specialty coffee and a delicious breakfast by them. Native plants, birds and their songs, and beautiful stars at night their property checks all of the boxes. We can’t wait to go back!

What a wonderful experience!!! From the start Alan and Chris were great communicators, which made my first time using this service so comfortable. Chris met us when we arrived and showed us around. She was amazing and asked about my partner’s dietary needs for both the charcuterie board I purchased and the breakfast that came with our stay. The farm itself was just as welcoming. The tiny home we stayed in was cozy and comfortable. We did not use the provided wood for the fire, but it was nicely stacked and ready for us if we chose to. We had the charcuterie on the first night and it was perfect. We were treated to a lovely spread of items that included Alan’s home made focaccia(soooo worth it!). The breakfast the next two mornings were worth the trip on their own. Alan had brought out coffee (delicious) for me and tea for my partner. The breakfast each morning was a spectacular way to start any day! We were also treated to a tour of Chris’s awesome studio and got to see some of her art, so cool. I would definitely recommend staying here and will probably follow my own advice again at a later day! Don’t hesitate, you are not going to regret staying with these amazing hosts!!

Absolutely magical! We’ll be back next year - probably for several days. It’s so easy to just relax and be present there - a world apart! The game room, playset, lake, fire pits, ample firewood, and facilities were just beautifully done and soooo worth it! My kiddos cried when it was time to leave. The hot dinners and s’mores kits available for purchase were such a nice touch too. I can’t forget to mention our gracious and friendly hosts too - they made us feel so welcome!

As soon as I pulled onto the property, I could feel how special the farm was. WOW. The Peace Portal Tiny House took my breath away upon first sight - and I was so content just to read, write, eat (especially that insanely amazing breakfast, cooked by our hosts!), meditate, and soak up alllll the sights & sounds. From curious rabbits to croaking frogs, crowing roosters to lightning bugs zipping past my window as I rested in that cozy bed - it was everything I needed for an overnight getaway. Access to a half bath was AWESOME, as well as provided drinking water and an outdoor mini fridge, if needed. (Plus, it's only a mile to the lake!) Chris & Alan have created something truly special - and are PHENOMENAL, responsive, thoughtful hosts and human beings. STAY HERE! :-)

Had a great stay at Jeff’s permaculture farm. Just a stopover for me as an alternative to a hotel, but it was comfortable, peaceful, and educational. It had been rainy, so I was glad for the ease of the little cabin which was a very short walk from the parking as well as the facilities. Worth a return trip for more exploration. Close to nature, but also easy to get to the Interstate.
