The White Squirrel Properties include a cabin, rental pavilion and camp site. The camp site sits at the top of a hill and provides a secluded flat site to pitch your tent or park your van/truck camper/truck top tent. You will have this space to yourself. The view is breathtaking - you have a gorgeous view of the Susquehanna River, numerous sets of mountain ranges, and you are surrounded by beautiful fields. There is a rustic picnic table and a more modern high top table set with an umbrella, for your use. We have also added 4 hammock chairs that you can relax in while enjoying a glass of wine. If you step back in time a few owners, the Kitchen family with 8 boys and a girl farmed the land that surrounds the little tributary to Montour Run. Gorgeous view of the river and so convenient to the bike trail. Check in was a breeze. Note: As an active freight rail line goes alongside the bike trail and river, do expect train whistles and noise several times a night.

Booked two nights with my dog and ended up staying three! The site sits on a small hill with great views of the farm and surrounding area. Even though it’s between the other two sites, it felt private — I barely noticed the other campers. The platform fit my Gazelle T3 tent perfectly, with room for a chair and dog bed. Loved walking the farm trails with my dog, and the location is super convenient — only six minutes to Bloomsburg’s Main Street (coffee at Martha’s, tacos at Forth Taco, and Endless for books/records). Nearby hikes include the shaded Hess Trail Loop and the Railroad Trail in town, but also walking along the path next to the water in town has amazing views. I even stopped at Mays which is a few mintues from the farm and ate out back while my dog walked around the huge lawn. All three sites are nice, but the view here really stood out. The hosts were friendly and unobtrusive, and while you’ll hear some farm noise since it’s a working farm, the vibe is peaceful and relaxing. I got to sit and read by the fire for hours each day. Saw a bunch of hawks and it was really cool how there ar birdhouses all along the fencing of the property. Hope to be back again soon to explore the area more!

Great place. I camped at Aspen and it was nice and quiet. Not the most secluded, you have a clear view of the house, but there is a nice shaded area to pitch a tent and the owners didn’t come near the spot at all. Electric fences around the site also put my mind at ease where bears were concerned. Definitely keep food tucked away though. We had a lovely family of raccoons eat my mothers resses cup one night

Incredible! We stayed here for my husband’s birthday and were completely blown away….the views are just breathtaking. Audra was very responsive whenever we messaged her and you can tell that they have put a lot of time, money and thought into the setup, including the pavilion at the base of the hill and the new upcoming bathrooms at the campsite. There is also a rooftop deck for even more spectacular views! My husband and I brought our paddle boards and paddled on the river all day (just a three minute drive from the site). Then we came back and enjoyed dinner at our campsite :) In the morning a thunderstorm came through, which we thoroughly enjoyed watching, while sipping coffee from inside our van. Thank you so much for offering this to the public. We will absolutely be coming back!

Absolutely incredible site! Amazing views, very private, convenient facilities located nearby. Nice to have a spot to hang out and play games if it rains. Really enjoyed the lookout platform as well. There's a bathroom in shower being finished on site as well that will be super nice to have. Saw a deer in the fields each day we were there. Host was very responsive and helpful! We will definitely be back!

Wasn’t up to cooking but there’s a great little restaurant down the road called Fire & Ice that does take out smoked meats.!! You get what you pay for - and this is very high end camping. I felt safe staying here as a solo female traveler.

Overall great private camping spot! Perfect for bringing the dog as well. We ate at Fire and Ice Smokehouse and Creamery and it was incredible! Only downside is, in my opinion, the price is a little high for a camp site, but for me it was well worth it to have the private site for my dogs first camping trip.

We will be decorated for Halloween. We are currently working a scary trail. Pitch your tent along Irish Creek under a canopy of Maples at Mystic Hollow. Irish Creek stream is a tributary to the Schuylkill River. The land is mostly flat for walking to camping area. There is also a small bridge that goes over a small strip of wetlands. Fire rings are included. I can haul your gear to your spot with tractor and wagon if needed. There is a port-a-potty close by. If you have your own portapotty, you must take the waste with you. We have no way to dispose of human waste. Absolutely no disposing of human waste on the property or in the trash. There will be a fine. We are flexible with check-in and check-out times if we are not at full capacity. Just let us know ahead of time. We allow dogs. They must be on leashes unless they are friendly and play well with others. You must clean up your dog's poop! No exceptions! We are 5 minutes from the Schuylkill River. 10 minutes from Ontelaunee Lake. 15 minutes from Blue Marsh. 15 minutes from the Appalacian Trail. Trail heads nearby Port Clinton, Hamburg, Bernville, Bethel, Blue Rocks, Kempton... 20 minutes from Hawk Mountain. We are an hour from Jim Thorpe. There are several wineries in the area including Long Trout Winery where wine is cool and hippy chicks rule! My favorite! Lots of wildlife. Expect to hear owls, blue heron, cows, goats, chickens, hawks, eagles, dogs, racoons and coyotes. Racoons will steal food that is not put away or in coolers. Deer may walk past in the middle of the night. Hiking, kayaking, tubing, fishing, mountain biking, bike trails, etc... all nearby. Sadly there are no fish in Irish Creek worth catching. The Crayfish are! As with any land situated along a water source, there is always a possibility of flooding. We flood maybe once a year, once every other year. If that should happen, we will assist in hauling gear. There is higher ground for tents to be set up if need be. There will also be rooms available to rent in the near future. The White Squirrel Properties include a cabin, rental pavilion and camp site. The camp site sits at the top of a hill and provides a secluded flat site to pitch your tent or park your van/truck camper/truck top tent. You will have this space to yourself. The view is breathtaking - you have a gorgeous view of the Susquehanna River, numerous sets of mountain ranges, and you are surrounded by beautiful fields. If you step back in time a few owners, the Kitchen family with 8 boys and a girl farmed the land that surrounds the little tributary to Montour Run.
