Turtle Ridge farm is 35 acres of scenic beauty in historic Chester County, Pennsylvania. Secluded and private. Hiking and fishing available. Turtle Ridge Farms borders the Brandywine River and about 1,000 acres of woodland park. We try to be a unique host farm experience.
We will have contactless check in available upon arrival. Campers will fill out the registration form on the front porch and then go to their site.
A note about fishing. Fishing is available in the Brandywine River behind our farm, in Hibernia Park, at Springton Manor catch and release pond, and also at Chambers Lake in the park.
35-acre bucolic farm with goats, sheep, chickens and geese. Sites are near our one acre pond and each site has a fire pit. Our farm borders the 1,000-acre Hibernia Park with its historic mansion, extensive woodlands, hiking trails and along the beautiful Brandywine river. Lots of wooded areas, trails, rock outcroppings and beautiful scenery. The entrance to the park is through our farm gate near Site 2 and then down a trail.
There is an indoor powder room with flushing toilet and sink for campers to use and a small camp shop. Wood is available for purchase. We are located
5 minutes from the hospital, 10 minutes from grocery stores, 30 minutes to Amish country and Longwood Gardens. Hopewell Furnace, St. Peter's village, Daniel Boone homestead, Historic Springton Manor, Marsh Creek Park and lake are all nearby.

The camp sites on our farm are dry (for now) but we DO have a toilet that is cleaned regularly right by the sites. We have three leveled gravel RV/Camper spots, which are large compared to most campgrounds. The sites are pull through for most RVs and Trailers. We provide fire rings and campfire wood (assuming we have it available). Our farm is an operational farm with livestock and you will be camping right by our horse pasture. Our location is convenient. We are right off of I-81 and State route 22. Minutes from Hersheypark, Hollywood Casino and Penn National Race Course, The PA Renaissance Faire, as well as Ft. Indiantown Gap and Memorial Lake State Park. If you are a hiker, the Appalachian Trail is minutes from our farm. Our sites are easy access off the main road. We are in a friendly agricultural neighborhood with very little traffic or noise other than the light hum of I-81 in the distance. Wildlife is plentiful in our area and you can hike from our farm to Levitz Community Park (or drive if you prefer) to interact some great nature or have a picnic. The 66-acre property has been licensed as an airport (PS20) since the 1980s. It is currently an active, private airport. We don't sell fuel or offer services beyond camping so we primarily have only air traffic with few to no landings each year. In other words, it is very quiet here except during the occasional low pass. We are very eager for pilots to fly in and camp out! The beautiful sunsets and stargazing night skies are a real treat for anyone that comes to visit. Lots of deer, birds, and other wildlife can be seen out and about. Bring your telescope and binoculars to view all the property has to offer! Note that we are always working to improve our slice of heaven, thus we do have tools, vehicles, and equipment stored around the farm that if not used now will be one day. We appreciate your understanding that some areas are used for our personal / farm storage. If you're not into looking at our farmware, there are a few nearby campgrounds.

We are within walking distance of Swatara State Park and close to the Appalachian Trail. Short drive to the local winery, bowling alley, pub/diner, and movie theater. Hershey Park is approximately a 30-minute drive from our location. Rausch Creek, Anthracite, and Reading off-road areas are also nearby.

We had a wonderful time camping at site 2 at Tom's place. It was so peaceful and beautiful and a short walk away from some great trails at the next door neighboring park. Room was a great host. He spent a while with us to show us around, introduce us to his goats, chickens and geese, and tell us the history of the area and his property. He had a working bathroom, a coffee machine, which was awesome because i forgot my coffee, and we bought a dozen of his farm eggs. After that he gave us our space and privacy but let us know he was available if we needed him. We can't wait to come back.

We had a great weekend camping at Tom's place. Site 2 was private and wooded. We loved interacting with the goats. Tom was an excellent host, and having a real bathroom available was a big plus for my group. You do have to cart your belonging down a hill (and back up when you leave), but sturdy carts are provided, and it maintains the peace and quiet of the camping spots. Would definitely recommend to others.

We had a great time camping here. We arrived in the dark later than anticipated and Tom graciously met us when we arrived and took us to our site. Site 4 is up against the tree line a short walk from where you park next to the house. You aren’t deep in the woods but there is tree cover above you. You’re also set away from other sites, so it feels very private. The site is sort of in a hill, but it has a few spots that were flat enough for our tent. The site has a fire ring, picnic table with tablecloth, a few plastic lawn chairs, and a plastic end table. There are a couple of chicken coops as well as geese, goats, and sheep which were all fun to visit. There’s a small “camp store” (mudroom) attached to the house which is open 24/7 and is only a couple minute walk from the camp site. The bathroom is accessed from the mudroom. There is coffee, s’mores kits, and other camp necessities for sale if you forgot anything. There are carts available to get your gear to your site. There was plenty of deadfall wood around for the weekend,, but Tom brought some split wood straight to our campsite and we had a very nice chat. There is direct access to the Hibernia Park Rim Park Trail from Tom’s property and we had a great hike along it. Overall, we highly recommend this site.

Our experience with this farm was a bit different than most people’s stays, as we’re an organization that supported a family in need by placing our transitional housing camper here for 28 days. From the moment we arrived, Seth and Stephanie were incredibly warm and welcoming, giving the family the space and grace they needed to heal and transition during a difficult time.
The farm was absolutely the perfect setting for this season of life. The open fields and natural views provided a peaceful, restorative environment that you simply can’t find in more traditional settings. There’s something deeply healing about being surrounded by nature and wide-open spaces.
The kids were entertained watching the chickens, geese, turkeys, and sheep wandering about the property. These simple joys made such a meaningful difference during their stay and created sweet memories during a challenging transition.
I would highly recommend this spot to anyone traveling through the area, but also to locals who want a new taste of their own community. This farm offered our family something truly special - a safe harbor and a chance to experience beauty and peace during a time they needed it most. Seth and Stephanie’s kindness and the tranquil setting made all the difference.

Spent the weekend camping at the Main Barn at Redemption Springs Farm and what a unique experience it was. This is a working farm with healthy sustainable and natural farming methods. There are a lot of chickens, ducks and turkeys on this farm, with a couple of chatty geese and a sheep. Seth greeted us and he and his family could not have been more welcoming. It's a working farm so you could see them out and about caring for the animals or helping people at their farm store they run (really good food available for purchase, made sure to load up before leaving, plus you don't need to bring everything with you). Seth took time out to talk to us about their farming methods, the heritage breeds they have selected and raised and what goes into the produce they sell. It's a lot of fun watching the birds wandering around the farm as they are completely free range. They'll come near your campsite but will leave you alone but have no fear of humans so you can really watch them up close. The farm is very pretty, good camp site behind the barn, there is electricity, you can use a hose pipe for water if you need it, or use their natural spring water. There's wood for sale, eggs so fresh because they were laid that morning and so on.
The location is only a few minutes from Westminster if you need city type things, but you can't tell out on the farm, you feel like you're way out in the country, no traffic noise or anything.
It was a very relaxing place to stay, will definitely return!

This was a perfect overnight weekend for the grands and us. Only an hour from DC we slept under the stars in the pasture where heritage chickens, turkeys and ducks freely roam. My boyfriend and I were looking for somewhere to camp for my birthday. So happy we decided to stay here! Perfect little spot. We arrived later than expected, around 8PM and Tom, the host, came out to guide us around the area in the dark. He showed us our spot and even some of his Animals. He is a very helpful and friendly Host ! We booked site 1 and loved it. It is slightly less secluded than the other 3 sites that are a little deeper in the woods. But I would rebook this spot again anytime. We really loved the large stone fire pit! There is also a nice trail behind the property along the river that was nice to walk in the mornings. My boyfriend and I brought kayaks with us and spent a day at chambers lake in hibernia park which is right around the corner. Beautiful area and perfect place to get away and relax in the wilderness. Thanks for having us! We definitely will be back!

This was a very peaceful place to stay. The 20 amp power suited our needs just fine. The little store on site had super fresh milk by the gallon and great snacks and treats for our dog and tons of meat options to purchase. Seth and his beautiful wife Stephanie were delightful and they have a little boy who was beyond adorable.
Added bonus: There’s a sheep that wanders around who thinks he’s a dog. His name is Aiden. He loves head scratches.
