HUNTER&#x27;S PARK BY WASHINGTON, DC

Hunters Park at Mezza Luna Farm was awesome. We stayed in the T1 site. Plenty of room for multiple tents and cars. There's firewood for sale right by the site, which was very convenient. There was an outdoor sink at the site, which was nice (though in colder months the water is shut off). There's a porta potty that was very clean - maybe the cleanest portapotty I've ever seen. The farm is beautiful with lots of horses to see. You're allowed to go visit them in the stables. There's plenty of paths to walk around the property if you want to go on a hike. Keith came by to visit - very friendly and welcoming. One family in our group had a couple small children. They did fine and loved seeing the horses. Damascus is very close by - easy access to groceries if you need anything. We'll be back again!

Absolutely Perfect!

Our group of nearly 30 people (including 20 kids!) had the most incredible time at this horse farm campsite. It was truly out-of-this-world perfect! The property is beautiful, peaceful, and full of fun things to do, but what really made the experience special was Keith, the owner. He is so kind, welcoming, and helpful—he went above and beyond to make sure everything was just right for us. The kids loved every minute, from exploring the farm to visiting the horses, and the adults couldn’t have asked for a better setting to relax and enjoy time together. It’s rare to find a place that works so well for such a big group, but this farm was absolutely perfect. We’ve already decided this will be an annual event and can’t wait to be back next fall. Highly, highly recommend!

Wonderful campsite tucked away in the DC area. Easy check-in and it was perfect for car camping. I loved the string lights so we had enough light for the kids without blinding headlamps :) We will definitely be back! Thank you!

The place was perfect for our 4 families to spend a weekend. Very kid friendly, tons of space to run around, and gave us tours around all the animals. Keith and his crew were very welcoming and helpful. The place was picturesque. We will definitely be going back.

Nice horse-farm setting for a quick camp escape from the DC & Baltimore metro areas. Keith is super-friendly and accommodating, and is improving the RV area to provide full power, water, and septic hook-ups, which led to some voltage hiccups that were being worked on during our stay. The tent camping areas offer a good option for groups, are less congested and more secluded, accessible to RVs (if you don't need 30A/50A power & don't mind boondocking), and have clean porta-johns.

Everyone loved Hunter's Park!

The site was shaded by trees and the nearby stream combined to the camp cool during some of the hottest days in July. Folks enjoyed cooling off in the stream and relaxing nearby listening to it burble. We had 30+ people in Group Tent Site T3 and we had plenty of space. Keith was awesome and stopped by to make sure we had everything we needed. We're already planning to return next year.

I’m sooo in love with this space. From the outlets coming from the trees on the site. To the showers on site. As well as very clean portable potties! The space is absolutely beautiful! Horses you can Pet (not feed) but I let almost every horse that came up to me. I went to admire the chickens and the peacocks. It was such an amazing time. I also purchased fresh eggs and fresh honey from Keith. I can’t wait to go back already. The creek behind the space was absolutely stunning. The swings on the site was a big bonus as well. The site is all around amazing. My grown self even went to jump on the trampoline. Will be back for sure.

Really beautiful tent camping! The property is stunning, the campsites are perfect, and the farm and farm animals made it feel so pure and peaceful. I Keith is very kind and inviting and does a great job hosting. Also, being able to spend most of the day in the creek right off the site was a huge plus. Thanks! Will return!

Keith was amazing host. We had a group of 20 high school students come out for a weekend camping. The students got to pet and feed the horses. The were able to pick eggs from the chicken and peacock coups. Its was really a great weekend

Amazing camp grounds with electric, a clean toilet, and shower. Doesn’t get much better than that….. but they also have a stream, playground, horses dogs and cats. It doesn’t get much better. The hosts are great and super out going. No complaints

Best hipcamp ever!!! Keith was so helpful and kind. All the animals are adorable. The tent site is right by running water… everything is so convenient from the eggs to the firewood to the little smores packs!!! Lights are hung at each campsite, a running sink at each campsite, a shower, a playground for children, tree swings!!! Let alone all the adorable horses and other animals! Definitely if you have the opportunity, camp here!!!! Best time ever.

Very peaceful stay. The electric hookup was very reliable. Having a dedicated porta potty for my spot was great! The farm is large with a lot of horses and chickens so nice place to walk around and enjoy the scenery yet close enough to the sub urb like Bethesda. Not a lot of trails nearby unless you leave the farm so that's one difference from state park camping. Tent camping area also has a creek running through so great for kids to enjoy.

My husband and I absolutely loved this place! It was so peaceful and serene and the animals were so much fun to watch. The peacocks were beautiful! We highly highly recommend this place! And I will echo everyone else’s reviews about the portable toilets being SUPER clean!

Great stay with the family

My family had a great time here. We had plenty of space and the creekside lot was flat and accommodating. The creek provided a lot of fun for the kids and great background noise while sleeping. The farm is charming and we enjoyed seeing the animals. Friendly and prompt correspondance with Keith. We had everything we needed including a very clean portable toilet. Thanks again, Keith. We'll be back!

It’s a nice spot that we will come to again. The land is cleared but also good tree coverage. Small creek next to the site provides nice sound and kids can play as well. Playset and trampoline also good for entertaining. You can walk property to see horses, chickens and a peacock. Keith stopped by to say hi and check in as well. Highly recommend.

My husband, kids (5 and 9), and I had a great experience tent camping on Keith’s land. We stayed at site T7. The site is right next to the creek, which added to the beauty of the scenery. We look out on it at the campfire and we woke up to the gentle sound of the water flowing down the creek. There is a sink with potable water at the site. You can buy a wheelbarrow of firewood at any time from a stand near the sites. We realized pretty late that we hadn’t brought enough so it was great to be able to pop over there and buy some. There is a small playground with swings and a trampoline among the sites that was an amazing surprise. I would definitely recommend to others. Note that at this site there is only a small table and 2 chairs rather than a picnic table, which the larger sites around us had.

it was a great time staying here. first time taking my son camping and it was great. we chose the farm so he could be occupied through the trip. there’s lots of horses, chickens and peacocks! all the animals were extremely friendly which made the trip worth while. we got to pick eggs, and feed the animals.Keith, his wife and all the farm staff were very friendly and accommodating! the tent sites are near each-other, but still felt like you’re alone and had a nice private area. the river running by the sites is so beautiful and relaxing. we had a great stay.
